Naseeruddin Shah claims 'NOT deleted post about Diljit Dosanjh' while the post remains invisible
Taking to his FB account, Naseeruddin wrote: 'I have NOT deleted my post about Diljit Dosanjh. I don't care a fiddler's fart for backlash.'
It must be noted here that the deleted post by the 74-year-old actor continues to not be visible on social media.
Before this, Naseeruddin dropped a powerful message after deleting his post in support of Diljit.
Quoting German scientist and philosopher Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, the 'Ishqiya' actor penned, 'It is almost impossible to carry the torch of truth through a crowd without singeing somebody's beard. -Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, scientist and philosopher (1 Jul 1742-1799).'
Naseeruddin had made religious remarks against those criticizing Diljit for working with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in "Sardaar Ji 3."
Stating that Diljit played no part in casting Hania in the film, the 'A Wednesday' actor posted on FB, 'I stand Firmly With Diljit. The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him. They think they've got it at last. He was not responsible for the casting of the film, the director was. But no one knows who he is whereas Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned.'
'What these goons want is to put an end to personal interaction between the people of India and Pakistan. I have close relatives and some dear friends there and no one can stop me from meeting them or sending them love whenever i feel like it. And my response to those who will say 'Go to Pakistan' is Go To Kailasa," he added.
Naseeruddin faced criticism for taking down his post only a day after raising his voice against the backlash faced by Diljit.

It was reported on Wednesday that social media accounts of Pakistani celebrities started appearing in India, weeks after they were blocked during the recent India-Pak military standoff. This led to massive criticism of the government of PM Narendra Modi on social media, forcing it to walk back on relaxing restrictions. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD On Thursday, Instagram and Twitter profiles of Pakistani celebrities such as Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Shahid Afridi, Mawra Hocane and Fawad Khan once again became inaccessible to Indian users. When users search for these accounts, a pop-up error shows this message: 'Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content.' Government sources blame 'technical glitch' Government sources have now clarified that the accounts reappeared in India due to a 'technical glitch' and not because of some policy change. It is to be noted that the government of India, on May 8, issued an advisory under Part II of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) to immediately discontinue web series, films, songs, and other media content originating from Pakistan. The advisory said the move was taken to address concerns regarding India's sovereignty, national security, public order, and integrity. According to sources, over 18,000 Pakistani social media accounts have been withheld in India. This includes accounts of celebrities, media companies and entertainment workers. Huge backlash in India The reappearance of Pakistani social media handles triggered a huge backlash in India. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also criticised the move, calling it an 'insult' to families affected by cross-border terrorism.
