UAE hands over Chinese fugitive linked to multimillion-dollar gambling network

The UAE's Ministry of Interior has extradited to China an alleged crime boss accused of operating an illegal gambling network worth millions of dollars. The suspect, whose name was not disclosed, was arrested in Dubai following a red notice issued by Interpol. He is considered one of China's most wanted fugitives, state news agency Wam reported. Chinese authorities expressed gratitude to the UAE for its cooperation, highlighting the importance of joint efforts to strengthen security both regionally and globally. The case marks the latest in a series of high-profile extraditions carried out by UAE authorities. In July, Dubai Police arrested and deported three alleged Belgian gang leaders—Mathias Akyazili, Giorgi Faes, and Othman El Ballouti—who face charges of drug and human trafficking in their home country. The trio, listed among Interpol and Europol's most-wanted, are accused of serious cross-border crimes, including running a criminal gang, trafficking narcotics and psychotropic substances, robbery, and human trafficking.
