Metro In Dino box office collection day 2: Anurag Basu's film sees growth in business, makes over ₹6 crore

Box office report The report states that Metro in Dino has collected ₹6.33 crore on the second day, as per early estimates. The total stands at ₹9.83 crore. The business saw a growth after day 1. The opening day collection was ₹3.5 When it comes to occupancy, the film had an overall 27.18 per cent occupancy in Hindi on Saturday. The morning shows saw 11.65 per cent footfall, while afternoon shows registered 30.95 per cent footfall. The evening shows had 38.95 per cent footfall. The romantic film was released on July 4. Life in a Metro, which was released in 2007, was a sleeper hit. It has opened at just ₹80 lakh upon release. However, it built on its word of mouth to end up with a lifetime domestic collection of over ₹24 crore. About Metro in Dino With music composed by Pritam, this film is the spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu's 2007 hit Life... In A Metro, which starred Irrfan. Notably, Konkona Sensharma is the only lead from the original cast to reprise her role in the sequel. Sticking to the concept from the first part, the film follows the lives of four couples as they navigate the highs and lows of love and commitment in different cities. The musical romantic drama is written and directed by Anurag Basu and produced by T-Series Films and Anurag Basu Productions. The film weaves together several stories of contemporary couples and features an ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film opened to a positive response from critics. According to a review by Hindustan Times, the film is a 'messy-yet-beautiful ode to modern-day romance, is elevated by Pritam's score'. 'The screenplay and story are by Basu, and there's something magical that he brings to the big screen. One of the most innovative filmmakers of our time, he has touched upon a plethora of subjects- from identity crisis, to loneliness, to infidelity (pronounced hilariously as 'infertility' by Pankaj Tripathi's character), to loss- and condensed them into a 162-minute film,' read the review.

Metro In Dino Day 2 India Box Office: Anurag Basu's directorial shows reasonable growth to net Rs 5.50 crore on first Saturday; Total remain under par

Dino, directed by Anurag Basu and starring Ali Fazal, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Nina Gupta, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma and others, showed reasonable gains on day 2, after a low opening day. With Rs 5.50 crore net on day 2, the total of the movie stands at Rs 8.75 crore. Sunday should see a slight jump from day 2, and the movie will end with a weekend of Rs 14.50 crore net or so. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of Dino Are As Under Dino's Rs 8.75 Crore Net Total In 2 Days Is Under Par; Strong Weekdays Required The collections of Dino in India so far are not up to the mark. Being a multiplex-oriented, metro-centric film with a low opening day, a Saturday growth was obviously coming. What the film essentially needs is a very strong weekday trend so that it can retain good screens in week 2 amidst stiff competition from Superman, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and Maalik, apart from the already strong holdover releases. Dino Needs To Net Rs 55 Crore In India/Gross Rs 75 Crore Worldwide To Breakeven The weekday trend will determine whether Dino will barely cross Rs 30 crore net in India, or go on to do around Rs 40 crore net if not more. With the overseas collections not as strong as they should be, all the pressure is precisely on the India theatricals. As stated earlier, a Rs 75 crore gross worldwide collection is the bare minimum that the movie needs to do, in order to ensure that no one in the value chain loses any money. Given roughly Rs 10 crore gross will come from international markets, the Anurag Basu directorial needs to net around Rs 55 crore net, atleast. Dino In Theatres After Dino, Anurag Basu moves onto his next with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. Dino plays in theatres now. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates on Anurag Basu and his Dino.

Last Updated: One of the key highlights of the episode was the actor candidly talking about how his old friends react to his stardom and asking him about the process of filming intimate scenes. Pankaj Tripathi marked his presence on The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 3 along with the entire cast members of his recently released film, Metro…In Dino. During an interaction with the host and comedian Kapil Sharma, he shared some hilarious insights from his personal and professional lives. One of the key highlights of the episode was the actor candidly talking about how his old friends react to his stardom and ask him about the process of filming intimate scenes. Speaking to Kapil, the Mirzapur actor said, 'Someone asked me a question a few years ago When you shoot an intimate scene, do they place a glass between the actor and the actress?' Then I told them, That's not true. Then he asked, 'Really? Sachme chuu lete ho? (Do you really touch each other?)' Then I said 'Yes'." He added, 'They aren't from the industry, so they are unaware of what goes behind the camera. So they ask several questions. They also ask how actors bleed when a bullet is fired in an action scene." In addition to him, the episode also featured an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and director Anurag Basu. Pankaj also opened up about his love story with his wife Mridula Tripathi and said, 'I don't know much about romance because the only person I've ever fallen in love with was my wife and I married her. I am from Bihar and our romance quota is already quite low. However, I'm glad I got to marry the person I romanced with." Anupam Kher, Anurag Basu and others praised him for this. Ali Fazal immediately agreed with him, stating that he also married the person he loves and is grateful for it. Metro…In Dino explores modern love and relationships across different age groups and cities, with a focus on themes of commitment, infidelity and second chances in a relationship. Up next, Pankaj will be seen in the comedy-drama Parivarik ManuRanjan along with Aditi Rao Hydari. The film is directed by Varun V Sharma and produced by Vinod Bhanushali and Himanshu Mehra.
