Google removes keep app from Apple Watch
The app has not received any major updates in recent years, but it was a good and functional option for users to quickly make notes or list directly from their wrist. The removal of the app is confirmed by some user reports and developer notes. With the shut down of the Keep App, the watchOS will now have only three Google apps which include Calendar, Maps and YouTube Music.
The decision of the company to remove the Keep app is said to be a part of its broader strategy as Google aims to prioritise platforms that align with its own ecosystem. The Keep app will be available on Wear OS and Google's own smartwatch platform. On the other hand, the Apple users will now have to use Apple Notes, Microsoft OneNote or any other third-party app on Apple Watch for taking notes.
Apple removes five watch faces from Apple Watch
Apple unveiled the latest version of watchOS — watchOS 26 at its annual developer conference WWDC 2025. Bringing a fresh set of features and design enhancements, the watchOS 26 also marks the quiet departure of five beloved watch faces. As reported by 9to5Mac, users updating their Apple Watches to the new OS will find that Fire and Water, Gradient, Liquid Metal, Toy Story, and Vapor watch faces are no longer available.

DM inaugurates 2 mobile STEM and digital labs in Noida
Noida: DM Manish Kumar Verma inaugurated two mobile STEM and digital labs on Tuesday to promote innovation and digital literacy in govt schools. Set on movable vans, the labs have multiple laptop systems and tabs. They will visit schools to promote innovation and digital literacy at the schools. The initiative comes under an MoU signed between the district administration and HCLFoundation. The initiative will operate in 12 selected schools, offering hands-on workshops and interactive digital sessions for students in classes 6 to 10. These mobile labs will be equipped with advanced digital tools, robotics kits, and internet connectivity. Officials said that the partnership aims to strengthen educational initiatives across 72 govt schools in the district, including 18 secondary and 54 basic education institutions. RBI releases fulllist of legal digital lending apps on its site
(You can now subscribe to our (You can now subscribe to our Economic Times WhatsApp channel MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India ( RBI ) has published a comprehensive list of legal digital lending apps (DLAs) on its website, allowing consumers to verify whether a particular app is associated with a regulated entity. The list, which features around 1,600 DLAs, includes prominent fintech platforms such as Google Pay Paytm and move follows the RBI's 2023 digital lending guidelines, which proposed the public display of all verified DLAs to promote greater transparency in the May, the central bank directed all regulated entities to report their DLAs through the centralised information management system portal. The published list will be updated automatically based on entries in the portal, without further validation by the initiative is aimed at enhancing transparency in digital lending practices, in how loan products are offered and disclosed to prospective borrowers. In a bid to curb spread of illegal lending apps, the finance ministry had in September 2022 proposed the RBI compile a whitelist of legitimate DLAs, while ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) would ensure only these apps are allowed on app stores.
