Dr Tony Holohan shares imminent wedding plans with partner Ciara Cronin

Former Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has revealed that he's getting married again in just a week. Dr Holohan, who became a household name during the Covid-19 pandemic, has revealed that he and his partner Ciara Cronin are set to tie the knot.
The couple have been together since 2023, two and a half years after the death of Dr Holohan's wife, Emer. She sadly passed away during the pandemic after being diagnosed with blood cancer in 2012.
Taking to Instagram, Dr Holohan shared a loved-up snap with his wife-to-be in Dun Laoghaire. He captioned it: "One week to go to our big day -I'm so happy that Ciara and I will spend the rest of our lives together."
Friends and followers flooded the comments with congratulations. One said: "How wonderful, congratulations to you both, wishing you many happy adventures together, good health and happiness."
While another wrote: "Wishing you both every happiness you both deserve this". And a third commented: "Wonderful news congratulations to you both. Wishing you both lots of happiness."
Dr Holohan has two children, Ronan and Clodagh, and said Ciara has slotted well into their lives as a family. After going public with their relationship in September 2023, the father-of-two said he felt he had been given a "second chance" at life when they met.
Previously speaking about their relationship, he said: "She has been very well accepted not just into my own nuclear family if you like, the children, but also the wider families, both Emer's and mine, it has been lovely."
