'Al-Ahrar Palestinian Movement' Calls on nation to shoulder its religious, moral responsibilities to protect Al-Aqsa mosque

Gaza – Saba: The Al-Ahrar Palestinian Movement today, Thursday, called on the Arab and Islamic nations to assume their religious, historical, and moral responsibilities in safeguarding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque against the Zionist enemy's Judaization schemes targeting the holy city. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the movement extended a salute of pride and honor to the Palestinian people everywhere, especially in the Gaza Strip, who are enduring what it described as the most brutal genocide known to humanity, and to its valiant resistance, which has stood firm and continues to endure in the face of the criminal Zionist aggression and its Nazi practices, resisting with all available strength and determination. The movement declared: 'We have no option but resistance, steadfastness, and remaining rooted in this land.' It stressed that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque represents the core of the struggle with the criminal Zionist enemy and a purely religious symbol, over which the enemy has no legitimacy to claim even an inch. The movement also called on the Palestinian people in Quds, the occupied interior, and throughout the occupied West Bank to flock to Al-Aqsa, remain steadfast there, observe i'tikaf (spiritual retreat), and confront every attempt by Zionist extremists to storm or desecrate it, thwarting their malicious schemes.

International Reports Reveal Sanctioned Vessels Continue Smuggling Iranian Shipments to Houthi-Controlled Ports in Yemen

Recent international monitoring reports have uncovered ongoing violations of U.S. sanctions, with vessels under restriction allegedly transporting Iranian shipments to ports in Yemen controlled by the Houthi militia, notably the strategic Ras Issa terminal in the Hodeidah governorate. The reports, compiled by maritime tracking agencies and independent watchdogs, indicate that several tankers—previously flagged for sanctions due to links with Iran's oil trade—have been rerouting through complex shipping networks to deliver cargo to Houthi-held areas. These shipments are believed to include fuel and other goods that may be used to sustain the militia's operations. 'The pattern of movement and port calls suggests a deliberate effort to bypass international restrictions,' said one analyst familiar with the investigation. 'Ras Issa has become a focal point for these covert deliveries.' The findings have raised alarm among Western diplomats and regional observers, who warn that such activities not only undermine sanctions enforcement but also risk prolonging the conflict in Yemen by providing the Houthis with critical resources. U.S. officials have yet to issue a formal response to the latest revelations, though previous violations have prompted tighter maritime surveillance and calls for stricter enforcement mechanisms. The Ras Issa port, located north of Hodeidah city, has long been a strategic asset for the Houthis, serving as a gateway for fuel imports and a potential revenue stream amid the ongoing war. The continued use of sanctioned vessels to supply this port underscores the challenges facing international efforts to curb illicit trade in conflict zones.

Houthi-Imposed Levies Cripple Yemen's Private Sector, Deepen Market Recession

SANA'A — The private sector in Houthi-controlled areas is reeling under the weight of escalating illegal levies and arbitrary financial demands imposed by the de facto authorities, according to local business owners and economic observers. Over the past months, Houthi militias have intensified their collection of unauthorized fees from merchants, manufacturers, and service providers, under the guise of 'war support' and 'community contributions.' These levies, often demanded without formal documentation or legal basis, have severely strained operating costs and forced many businesses to downsize or shut down entirely. 'We are being suffocated,' said a shop owner in Sana'a who requested anonymity for safety reasons. 'Every week there's a new fee, a new demand. It's impossible to survive.' The economic fallout has rippled across local markets, leading to widespread stagnation. Shelves in many commercial districts remain stocked but unsold, as consumer purchasing power plummets and investor confidence erodes. Independent economists warn that the unchecked extortion is accelerating Yemen's economic collapse, particularly in urban centers where private enterprise once served as a lifeline amid conflict. The absence of regulatory oversight and the politicization of commerce have created an environment of fear and unpredictability. International watchdogs have repeatedly condemned the practice, urging humanitarian protections for economic actors and calling for accountability mechanisms to safeguard Yemen's fragile economy.
