Last chance: Global Village Dubai to close in 10 days
Global Village Dubai is one of the most popular attractions in Dubai over the cooler season and for a good reason. The family-friendly destination offers everything from shopping to dining, attractions, performances and much more.
But all good things come to an end, (thankfully, temporarily), and Global Village Dubai is all set to close on May 11, 2025 – the announcement of the last day of Season 29 was made by the attraction on social media.
So if you've been putting off your visit, this is your last call!
What's inside?
For those looking to visit the newest upgrades, there's a brand-new Restaurant Plaza with 11 two-story restaurants offering global cuisine. There are four cultural pavilions to visit: Jordan, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Each features a themed facade with an array of food stalls and shops inside.
The Railway Market and Floating Market have been transformed with fresh new concepts and Fiesta Street has had some enhancements to give it an added wow factor for the new season.
Need to catch your breath? Global Village UAE also features green promenades with picnic-style benches throughout the space.

Many visitors head to the attraction more than once during the season's run. And for good reason. Global Village is home to plenty of country pavilions from around the globe, each offering up cultural treats from their country. You can either walk home with shopping bags packed with items from clothing, accessories, perfumes, souvenirs and so much more, or you can enjoy the delicious cuisine. Many pavilions even put on cultural performances so you can enjoy a show while you dine.
Besides the pavilions, do remember to visit the Fiesta Street, Railway Market, the Floating Market and the Road to Asia where several fantastic countries including the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, and more represent themselves.
For more fun away from the shopping and eating, there's Carnaval with over 195 rides, games, and attractions. There will be something for visitors of all ages including tiny tots. If you're good at carnival games, try your luck and walk home with a huge stuffed animal including the famous giant banana plushie.
For more on the attraction front, Global Village UAE will soon introduce Exo City Planet for guests above 10. Returning to the park and now open is House of Fear – said to be the region's scariest haunted house experience with live actors. Besides entertainment at the pavilions, there are shows on the main stage, Cyber City Danger Zone Stunt Show (a performance with flying bikes, LED-covered police cars and a tank), plus roaming entertainment.
Oh, and yes, Dragon Lake returns with a new dragon, twice the size of last year's, where a laser show takes place.
According to their official website, every Friday and Saturday at 9pm, fireworks illuminate the skies.

There are locals, residents and tourists and because of its calm, shallow waters and a prestigious Blue Flag sustainability award by the Emirates Wildlife Authority, it's a great option for families too. There are also several food and beverage outlets, volleyball courts, sports activities, washrooms, changing rooms and showers. Free. Open daily 8am-sunset. Al Bateen Beach, Khalifa Al Mubarak Street, off Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Corniche beach You've probably driven past it lots of times but have you ever spent a day on the beach on the Corniche? It's one of the best beaches in Abu Dhabi for a quick trip. The pristine beachfront is a fantastic family spot on which to enjoy a relaxed day. The seaside boardwalk is four miles long and the walkways are paved and dotted with benches and gardens that overlook the ocean. Surrounding the Corniche beach there are children's play areas, separate cycle and pedestrian pathways, cafés and restaurants. Dhs10 for adults and Dh5 for kids over five, Dhs25 per sun lounger. Open daily 8am-8pm. Corniche Rd. Kai Beach Saadiyat Looking for the best beach not just in Abu Dhabi but the whole of the Middle East? Well, you are in luck because it happens to be right here on our doorstep. The dreamy Saadiyat Island was named 'Middle East's Leading Beach Destination' for the 11th consecutive year in 2024 (yes, 11 years) and Kai Beach happens to be one of the beaches on Saadiyat's shores. Open daily from 7am to sunset, there are no reservations and entry is on a first come first served basis. Open daily 7amsunset. Kai Beach, Saadiyat Island, Hudayriat Beach Located in Hudayriat Island, this beach keeps getting better and better. There are plenty of food trucks and restaurants around for when hunger strikes (Wingstop, W.T.F. and Shrimp Pot are just some of the options), plus plenty of fun activities for kids and adults alike. We're talking kids' pool and a splash park, a volleyball court, an outdoor gym and cycle paths. Oh, and did we mention it's free? Yep, pretty awesome. Free. Open daily 8am to 7pm. Hudayriat Beach, Hudayriat Island, @marsanahudayriyat. Mamsha Beach Saadiyat Island (formerly Soul Beach) Soul Beach closed for refurbishment earlier this year and, in the words of the T-Swift, she can't come to the phone because… it now answers to Mamsha Beach Saadiyat Island (which makes sense since it's on – you guessed it – Mamsha). An easy choice when you want a day of complete beach bliss, it boasts powdery white sand and Saadiyat blues – what more could you ask for? Not only will you get a 10/10 beach day but you also have some pretty good restaurants within walking distance. There's Pickl for a great burger, Italian favourite Antonia (the winner for best Casual Dining at the Time out Abu Dhabi Awards 2025), Niri (the winner for Best Japanese at the Time Out Abu Dhabi Restaurant Awards 2025) and TOTÓ (highly commended), Cristiano Ronaldo and Rafael Nadal's first restaurant in the capital. Yas Beach Styling itself as a 'beach playground' big on beats and brunches, Yas Beach is a must-visit spot – especially because of its prime location to watch the sunset. The club is home to restaurants and a bar, as well as being a spot to enjoy plenty of watersports. There's a fee to get in, but it's also free if you're staying at any of the hotels on Yas Island. Global Village hits new record with 10.5 million visitors in Season 29
Global Village Season 29 was a massive success… Season 29 of Global Village was a smash hit, and we have the statistics to prove it. The family destination welcomed a record 10.5 million visitors in the six months that it was open. This is a new high, as compared to 10 million visitors in the previous season, and the highest number of visitors in one season since opening. The destination continues to upgrade on a year-to-year basis in order to accommodate to the growing number of visitors, adding expansions, brand new and exciting attractions, more pavilions, more amazing dining options, more facilities and larger-than-life entertainment. In Season 29 alone, 30 pavilions represented more than 90 cultures, with more than 400 performers delivering over 40,000 incredible shows, over 200 rides and attractions, over 3,500 shopping outlets, and more than 250 dining options from around the world. All these features brought the culture, heritage and authentic representation of the participating countries under the spotlight for us to experience. When is Global Village reopening? We know it just closed for the season, but we can't wait for the next season to come around. After just a little search on the official Global Village Dubai website, we found out that the outdoor attraction will return from October 2025 to May 2026. We don't know the official dates, and they will be announced closer to the time, but this next season is going to be a very special one, because Global Village will be celebrating 30 years of entertaining Dubai (and beyond). This in itself is exciting, but we can expect something really big for the new season. We don't have all these details yet, but we are sure it will be announced closer to the opening. And of course, we will be keeping a close eye on the news. Global Village Dubai has already opened its registrations for vendors to sign up for the new season. Dubai's Global Village announces extension of Season 29
Sad to see one of your favourite destinations wrapping up for the summer? The good news is that Dubai's Global Village, one of the UAE's top family attractions, has announced a one-week extension of Season 29. Visitors can still head over to the tourist hotspot as the shopping destination extended its closing date to May 18 in an announcement on Sunday. The iconic tourist spot was previously set to close its gates on May 11. The destination will operate until May 18 from 4pm to 1am every day. Shoppers have just a few days left to enjoy discounts of up to 70 per cent at Global Village. Vendors across many pavilions are offering final clearance sales on a wide range of products, from abayas and accessories to footwear and souvenirs. The discounts are currently in many pavilions, and marks the grand shopping finale of the season. From heritage-rich handicrafts to modern accessories and fashion items, every corner of Global Village is buzzing with last-minute shoppers looking to grab bargains. Vendors said that they are slashing prices to clear stock. At the UAE Pavilion, shoppers are taking advantage of the massive discounts on traditional wear. Jalabia and abayas, which were originally priced between Dh150 to Dh200, are now available for as low as Dh50. Recently announced offers will continue to be available until the season's closure. These include the 'Kids Go Free' offer, allowing children under 12 to enter the park free of charge, as well as the 'Carnaval offer', providing a selection of unlimited rides in the Carnaval area for just Dh50, and the 'Golden Bar Challenge', where participants have the chance to win Dh2,900 in cash by lifting a golden bar from a box — part of a total prize pool of Dh87,000. Before season ends, 250 dining options are still available to explore, some of which are only available at Global Village. These include a number of savoury delicacies and sweet treats, made of mouthwatering flavours and with a unique presentation. Global Village announced that fireworks displays will light up the skies to celebrate the grand finale next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is not the first time Global Village has extended its season. Last year, the attraction announced the extension of season 28 from April 28 to May 5. Few days later it announced a further extension to May 8 due to high demand. It had also increased its operating hours during the extension period to cater to the high demand. Meanwhile, in 2022, Global Village extended its 26th season from April 10 to May 7. As the season draws to a close, Global Village is wrapping up with a range of exciting new additions and experiences. This year, the park has expanded its offerings to include more cultural showcases, new entertainment acts, and upgraded infrastructure — all aimed at enhancing the visitor experience. It had also lined up a series of stunning acts and performances as Global Village was set to close by Sunday.
