List: 24 men accused of child solicitation in Jacksonville area, mugshots, charges
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced the arrests of 24 men Thursday they said tried to solicit sexual contact with individuals they believed were children.
The arrests, dubbed 'Operation Rescue Our Children,' targeted people using electronic devices to solicit sexual acts from children, Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said.
Here are the names of the suspects, their booking photos and what they're accused of doing, according to Jacksonville police arrest reports:
Initiated a one-on-one chat on a website called Sniffies and made a prearranged meeting. Lake City Police assisted.
Initiated a one-on-one chat with a child on a website called Grindr. Lake City Police and Nassau County Sherriff's Office assisted.
Responded to an ad posted by Law Enforcement on a website called Skipthegames. During the conversation the suspect and supposed child began communicating on Snapchat. Bay County Sheriff's Office assisted.
Fisher had been chatting with detectives prior to this operation and continued chatting with multiple detectives during the operation, Jacksonville police said. Police said he initiated a one-on-one chat using a website called Skout Jacksonville.
Bethel was a JSO civilian employee at the time of his arrest. He resigned immediately after his arrest. He responded to an ad law enforcement post on Grindr initiating a conversation under the user name 'Killing Time.' The conversation progressed to text messages.
Initiated a one-on-one conversation on a website called Badoo and made a prearranged meeting where he was arrested May 14.
Initiated a conversation on Grindr and arranged to meet someone he believed was a child, police said.
Entered a group chat and started a one-on-one conversation on a website called Skipthegames. The conversation progressed to text messages and phone calls and a prearranged meeting was scheduled.
Hodge was also charged with Possession of a Control Substance (Methamphetamines).

Responded to an ad posted by Law Enforcement on a website called Skipthegames and made a prearranged meeting. Torbello was in the country illegally, police said.

Missing Navy sailor Angelina Resendiz's body found in woods after she disappeared from barracks; sailor detained in Virginia

Fentanyl trafficker gets 47 months after Burlington chase
BURLINGTON, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – A man was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty to possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute. Kajuan Woods, 36, appeared before a federal judge for the District of Vermont after several police encounters last year. He was sentenced to 47 months in prison followed by 3 years of supervised release. According to court records, Woods was in an apartment on St. Paul Street in Burlington when law enforcement searched the place as part of an ongoing investigation in January of 2024. Woods was wearing a satchel at the time which contained nine grams of fentanyl and over $1,100 in cash. Massachusetts woman arrested on attempted murder charge in Waterbury Woods was involved in a second incident in May 2024 when South Burlington police encountered him and a woman passed out in a vehicle while it was running. The vehicle was found to contain nearly an ounce of suspected cocaine, a stolen Apple MacBook Pro, and over $2,400 in stolen clothing as well as a partially loaded magazine for a gun. Woods provided a false name to police during the incident. In a third event, Burlington police responded to reports of a man threatening a woman with a gun, and found Woods with a woman in a car. Woods ran from the police through residential backyards, but they quickly caught up with him and arrested him on a federal warrant. At the time, he had a bullet in his pocket and over an ounce of suspected cocaine, while in the rental car he had been using were a pistol and unspecified amounts of suspected cocaine and fentanyl with $3,200 in cash. A brief tornado touched down in Beekmantown Tuesday afternoon Acting U.S. Attorney thanked police for their effort in detaining Woods, while warning that 'individuals who possess distribution quantities of deadly controlled substances, thousands of dollars in cash, and firearms pose a danger to the communities where they sell drugs, to lawenforcement officers, and to themselves.'
