By the numbers: The WNBA is in Vancouver this Friday
When the Atlanta Dream and Seattle Storm tip-off Friday night at Rogers Arena (7 p.m., TSN), it will be the first time the WNBA has played a regular-season outside the United States. Here's some other numbers to think about heading into the game. 3,000: The approximate of tickets sold for the game for the 19,700 seat Rogers Arena . They start at $32, with the majority of the remaining seats in the upper bowl. Organizers expect those remaining tickets to go quickly. 6: The number of WNBA all-stars between the two teams. The Dream are led by three-time all-star Allisha Gray, rated the top-ranked guard of the event by both media and players. She won the three-point shootout and skills competition last year. She partners with Rhyne Howard, another three-time all-star in the Dream backcourt. Brionna Jones is another all-star. Seattle also has three all-stars: Skylar Diggins, Nneka Ogwumike and Gabby Williams. Diggins has made seven all-star squads. 4: There are only four Canadians in the WNBA, all hailing from Ontario. Mississauga's Laeticia Amihere, who plays for the Golden State Valkyries, became a viral sensation in 2019 when she became the first Canadian female to dunk in a game, doing it for King's Christian Collegiate at just 15 years old. Kingston's Aaliyah Edwards plays for the Connecticut Sun and is a longtime member of the Canadian national team. Her WNBA debut, with the Washington Mystics, came against the Storm in 2024. The distance between Vancouver and their actual home area in is 3,639 km.

Final field of CPKC Women's Open Mississaugua Golf and Country Club announced
MISSISSAUGA – Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ont., headlines the final field at next week's CPKC Women's Open. The winningest Canadian in professional golf history is one of the biggest names in a list of commitments that has six of the current top 10 and 19 of the top 25 in the Rolex World Golf Rankings. World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul, No. 2 Nelly Korda, No. 3 Lydia Ko will all join Henderson at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club in Mississauga, Ont. Other notables include Minjee Lee (No. 4), Haeran Ryu (No. 9) and Hannah Green (15th), along with rising stars Lottie Woad (19th), Lilia Vu (20th) and Rose Zhang (56th). A total of 13 Canadians will be playing in the women's national championship, including phenoms Aphrodite Deng of Calgary, Lauren Kim of Surrey, B.C., Vancouver's Anna Huang and Toronto's Vanessa Borovilos. Canada's Dabrowski, New Zealand's Routliffe advance at Cincinnati Open
CINCINNATI – Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealand's Erin Routliffe are off to the third round in women's doubles at the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament. The second-seeded duo defeated Indonesia's Aldila Sutjiadi and Mexico's Giuliana Olmos 3-6, 7-6 (2), 10-7 on Tuesday to advance. Dabrowski and Routliffe won 67 per cent of their first-serve points and broke on three of their 11 opportunities in the match. Sutjiadi and Olmos won just 50 per cent of their first-serve points but converted on four of their five break-point chances. Dabrowski is one of two Canadians remaining at the event, with Montreal's Felix Auger-Aliassime being the other in the men's singles bracket.
