Joe Jonas gives rare co-parenting update after nasty split
It was one of the nastiest splits to rock Hollywood in recent memory, with an accompanying PR and legal battle that inspired countless global headlines, but it seems the frost between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner has thawed.
In rare comments about his family situation, popstar Jonas says he now has a 'beautiful co-parenting relationship' with his Game of Thrones star ex.
Jonas and Turner announced their 'amicable' split in a joint social media post in September 2023 after four years of marriage. But what ensued was an ugly fight over custody of their daughters Willa, four, and Delphine, two, that played out over the pages of the tabloids.
Jonas filed for divorce from Turner in Miami, with sources close to him at the time claiming Turner had been out partying too much, leaving him to look after their daughters. According to legal filings, Jonas reportedly saw Turner insulting him on their home security camera.
In return, Turner accused Jonas of refusing to hand over the girls' passports so they could return to England with her.
She cited an international child abduction law as grounds for the children being with her.
After intense mediation, they eventually agreed to a custody sharing arrangement and now appear to have turned their rocky post-split relationship around.
During an appearance on Jay Shetty's On Purpose Live Tour, Jonas praised Turner and her parenting, People reports.
'I have a beautiful co-parenting relationship that I'm really grateful for,' he said.
'Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true.
'As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them. I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confidence, and know that they can do literally anything they want.'
It seems Turner is also feeling much more settled post divorce, after she recently voiced her support for Jonas.
Alongside a link to Joe's new album, Sophie wrote on Instagram: 'Go go @joejonas (sic)'

Joe Jonas finds South Park's purity ring episode 'hilarious'
Joe Jonas "loved" the 'South Park' episode that mocked him for wearing a purity ring. The 35-year-old pop star and his brothers, Nick and Kevin, famously wore purity rings - which served as a symbol to their commitment to wait to have sex - early in their careers, but Joe wasn't at all bothered when 'South Park' mocked him for wearing it during a 2009 episode of the show. During an appearance on 'Josh Scherer's Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals' podcast, Joe explained: "I think I was the only brother that loved it. Our skin was not as thick back then." Joe thought the episode was "hilarious" and he doesn't have any bitterness towards the makers of the hit TV show. He said: "I thought it was hilarious, because I watched 'South Park', and I was like, 'This is so funny, I know what they're doing, they make fun of everyone!'" Joe and his brothers are now all able to watch the episode and laugh it off. The pop star shared: "I think it's one of my favourite episodes. And later on, now, we just laugh. We love that. I think it's so great. Definitely a claim-to-fame for me." Joe was married to Sophie Turner between 2019 and 2024, and he recently described the actress as an "incredible mom". The singer - who has daughters Willa, four, and Delphine, two, with Sophie - revealed that they've developed a "beautiful co-parenting relationship" since finalising their divorce. Speaking to Jay Shetty during his 'On Purpose Live Tour', Joe shared: "I have a beautiful co-parenting relationship that I'm really grateful for. Having an incredible mom, Sophie, for those girls is like a dream come true." The 'Cake by the Ocean' hitmaker wants his children to have strong female role models in their lives. Joe - who previously dated the likes of Gigi Hadid and Demi Lovato - explained: "As young girls, looking up to great women is what I want for them. "I think what values I want for them are to be open-minded and have a big heart, be able to walk into any room and feel confidence and know that they can do literally anything they want."

Ashley Tisdale hopes daughter feels inspired by High School Musical
Ashley Tisdale wants her daughter to take inspiration from her 'High School Musical' character. The 39-year-old actress played Sharpay Evans in the money-spinning film franchise, and Ashley hopes that Jupiter, four, can take some inspiration from her on-screen character. Ashley - who also has Emerson, eight months, with her husband Christopher French - told People: "I just think that Sharpay is someone who knows what she wants and I think that's always been really exciting. "I love playing a character like that because I've always known what I wanted. So I feel like that is something to look up to." Ashley loves that her daughter has already developed a passion for movies. The actress shared: "I never thought I'd see the day. But, you know, she's obsessed with tons of movies. This is not the first one she's obsessed with." Ashley revealed that Jupiter is a big fan of the 'Wicked' and 'Tarzan' movies. She said: "She was Glinda from 'Wicked' for the longest time. So she does love the pink, but she also loves 'Tarzan'. So I don't know. It changes." Ashley suffered from postpartum depression (PPD) after giving birth to Jupiter. But the actress had a completely different experience after welcoming her second child in September. She previously wrote in a blog post: "When I got pregnant, I was so excited - but nervous, too. Would I go through the typical postpartum hormonal roller coaster, or would I sink into PPD again? Before Emerson's due date, I kept reminding myself that worrying wouldn't change anything. I told myself that I knew (and Chris knew) the signs to watch out for. "But I was fortunate. My postpartum mental health has been really steady, and wow - what a difference! When I first looked into Emerson's eyes, I immediately had the connection I'd dreamed of. This postpartum period has been so much easier because I feel like my normal self, and I feel 100 percent connected with my daughters. "I'm not sure if it's because my hormone levels are different this time (which my doctor said could be a factor) but I'm really cherishing these first few weeks as a family of four."

Cutting ties with my dad was the best decision, says Kristin Cavallari
Kristin Cavallari doesn't regret cutting ties with her dad. The 38-year-old star decided to stop speaking to her dad, Dennis Cavallari, after he "crossed the boundary" with her kids, and Kristin now considers the move to be "the best decision [she's] ever made". The blonde beauty - who has Camden, 12, Jaxon, 11, and daughter Saylor, nine, with ex-husband Jay Cutler - told People: "I mean, honestly, and this might sound messed up to some people, but it's the best decision I've ever made, cutting my dad out of my life. Such a weight has been lifted from me. "There's not one day where I miss him. I don't know if it was two or three years ago, but I mean, I was an adult, let's say I was 35 [when I decided]. It was 35 years of buildup to that point." Kristin refused to go into detail about her dad's mistakes. However, the reality star is "happy" with her decision. She shared: "Like, you're just gaslighting me. I don't have time for that anymore. "If someone's not bringing you joy, if people are only bringing you hurt and sadness and anger, what is the point? Even if it's a parent, life's too short." Meanwhile, Kristin recently revealed that she's returned to using dating apps. The TV star has been single since splitting from Mark Estes in 2024 - but Kristin has now returned to dating apps and she's open to finding love once again. She said on the 'Let's Be Honest' podcast: "Nashville is awful for dating. That's why I have to be on a dating app." Kristin has actually been invited on dates by a couple of well-known men in recent times. But the 'Very Cavallari' star wanted to focus on her podcast tour before turning her attention to finding love. She explained: "I was supposed to go on two dates, and I was like, 'You have to wait until after my podcast tour.'" Kristin is actually making a concerted effort to "stay out of headlines". Asked if she's been pursued by any "known people", Kristin replied: "These ones are. But, I mean, I'm trying to stay out of headlines while I'm on the podcast. Then after I'm going quiet."
