UAE: 80-year-old Emirati airlifted from Qatar for urgent medical care
An Emirati man who experienced a sudden health crisis was airlifted from Qatar to the UAE.
The patient in his eighties suffered a sudden health complication while in Qatar and initially received medical treatment at the Heart Hospital of Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha.
After the man's condition stabilised, he was airlifted to the Cleveland Clinic in the UAE for continued care.
In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Search and Rescue Centre of the National Guard completed an air ambulance mission to transfer the man.
The operation was carried out with the full cooperation and support of the Qatari authorities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep appreciation for Qatar's assistance, highlighting the significant role played by the UAE Embassy in Doha in coordinating the mission and ensuring its success.
This mission underscores the strong collaborative ties between the two nations and the shared commitment to humanitarian and emergency medical response efforts.

Day of joy as families welcome newborns on Eid Al Adha
Eid Al Adha is a time for families across the UAE to gather together, and some have grown with the arrival of newborns on the first day of the festival. Up and down the country, maternity staff faced a busy morning as they helped deliver babies. At Ras Al Khaimah Hospital, Zayed Hamed Sayed Hamed Hamed was born at 5.45am, weighing 2.18kg. As the third child of Egyptian parents, Hamed Sayed Hamed and Eman Mohamed, his arrival marked a joyful start to Eid. 'We are happy and blessed to have this baby arrive to us on Eid,' said Ms Mohamed, who is recovering in the hospital. The fund will be used to aid the social development of children who are most in need of financial support, including orphans. Dubai-based Indian expat parents Nikita Paresh Wadka and Yogesh welcomed their first child, a baby boy, at 1:54am at Prime Hospital, Dubai. He weighed 2.9 kg at birth.
