A CHILD has been airlifted to hospital after "falling from height." Emergency services were called to Broad Street in Newtown, Wales on May 30. 1 It's understood the child had fallen from a two-storey building at around 7.15pm Friday evening, Wales Online reports. Police and ambulance were called to the scene before paramedics helped the child into the aircraft. Wales Air Ambulance transported the child to hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-changing or life-threatening. A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: 'Officers were called to assist paramedics following a report that a child had been injured having fallen from a height at an address on Broad St, Newtown, at around 7.15pm on Friday, May 30. 'The child was airlifted to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing or threatening. 'The incident is not being treated as suspicious and all relevant safeguarding checks have been completed.' They confirmed that the incident is not being treated as suspicious following safeguarding checks.

SHELBY COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — One person was airlifted to a local hospital following a single vehicle crash north of Effingham on Interstate 57 Saturday morning. At approximately 8:06 a.m., Illinois State Police Troop 7 responded to I-57 southbound milepost 172 in Shelby County for the report of a single unit rollover traffic crash. As a result of the rollover, one person was airlifted to a local hospital with injuries. At approximately 8:58 a.m., both State Police Troop 7 and Troop 9 were still on scene, and at 9:01 a.m., all lanes re-opened. State Highway 25 has now reopened between Kopu and Thames. It was originally thought the person was injured, but the police have now determined that they suffered a medical event. Police said the person was found at 5.50am and was airlifted to hospital.
