Your Dream Pool Awaits
There's nothing quite like owning a pool. That first dive into cool water on a blazing summer day, the impromptu backyard hangouts, the calm of floating under a starry sky. But, as blissful as pool ownership is, it comes with a serious caveat: maintenance. The constant skimming, scrubbing, untangling cords of traditional pool cleaners, and dodging electrical hazards can quickly drain the joy out of your personal oasis.
Dream's Z1 Pro Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner is this summer's hero and perfect anyone tired of the drudgery of manual pool maintenance. Sleek, smart, and incredibly powerful, the Z1 Pro doesn't just clean your pool. It liberates your summer.
Unleash the Freedom: Goodbye Cords, Hello Sparkling Clean!
One of the most frustrating parts of using traditional pool cleaners? The cords. They snag, they tangle, they limit reach, and yes, they're a safety hazard. The Dreame Z1 Pro eliminates all of that with a completely cordless design. Drop it in, press a button, and let it work its magic. No babysitting required.
Powered by a 9,600mAh lithium-ion battery, the Z1 Pro delivers over three hours of continuous cleaning on a single charge. That's enough to handle pools up to 2,160 square feet (or 140 square meters if you're into the metric system). And when it needs a recharge? A magnetic charging port and 4-6 hour recharge window mean it's ready to go again by the time you are.
The Brainiac in Your Backyard: Intelligent Navigation Takes Over
Cordless convenience is just the beginning. The real magic lies in the Dreame Z1 Pro's PoolSense™ technology. Using a fusion of sensors — ultrasound, infrared, Time-of-Flight (TOF), and 3D Structured Light — this robotic cleaner maps your pool with accuracy. Whether your pool is kidney-shaped, rectangular, or something in between, the Z1 Pro learns its layout and plans a customized cleaning path.
Gone are the days of random, inefficient movement. The Z1 Pro glides in S-shaped patterns and zones your pool for complete, targeted coverage. It avoids obstacles like ladders, drains, and forgotten toys with ease thanks to Smart Obstacle Avoidance. Dynamic boundary detection and edge exploration features ensure it doesn't miss a single corner.
The Powerhouse Plunge: Uncompromising Debris Removal
With great power comes great… suction! The Z1 Pro doesn't mess around when it comes to cleaning performance. Its dual brushless motors produce a max flow rate of 8,000 gallons per hour, tackling everything from stubborn algae to pesky fine particles.
Dual active scrubbing brushes scrub away dirt and grime from all surfaces, including pool floors and walls. A high-efficiency 180-micron filter basket captures debris of all sizes, ensuring your pool water remains crystal clear. The result? A deep, thorough clean that rivals professional service without the ongoing cost.
Scrubbing the Scum Line: Mastering the Waterline
That grimy ring around your pool's waterline? It has finally met its match. The Dreame Z1 Pro is equipped with a dedicated Horizontal Waterline Cleaning function, making it one of the few robotic cleaners to actively tackle this common issue.
Thanks to its design and dual-motor system, the Z1 Pro clings to vertical surfaces and scrubs with 50% more efficiency than standard models. Your waterline stays clean, your tile shines, and your pool looks photo-ready every day.
Effortless Operation from Start to Finish
But wait…there's more…you can lounge poolside and let the Z1 Pro do work. Start with a single press, or take control using the LiFi remote which uses light waves for a seamless underwater connection. Want more customization? The Dreamehome app lets you schedule cleanings, check battery life, switch between cleaning modes (Floor, Wall, Waterline, or Global), and even choose where the robot parks when it's done.
And speaking of parking: the Z1 Pro auto-parks at the pool's edge when the battery runs low or the filter basket is full. A handy retrieval hook is included for effortless lifting, and cleanup is a breeze thanks to the washable filter design. Even if the cycle is interrupted, the robot resumes the task right where it left off.
Who is the Dreame Z1 Pro Perfect For?
Whether your pool is vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, or tile, this one's for you. The Z1 Pro is ideal for in-ground and above-ground pools up to 2,160 square feet. If you've ever felt limited by cords, disappointed by underpowered cleaners, or just plain tired of manual upkeep, this robot is your new best friend.
And yes, it works with saltwater pools too, thanks to corrosion-resistant construction.
Your Dream Pool Awaits
The Dreame Z1 Pro isn't just a robotic pool cleaner. It's a summer game-changer. With cordless freedom, intelligent navigation, powerful suction, and effortless operation, you get to do more relaxing.
Stop scrubbing. Start swimming. Discover the Dreame Z1 Pro and reclaim your summer.

3 AI Prompts That Turn ChatGPT Into Your Friend And Therapist
A Harvard Business Review study recently revealed that the most popular use for generative AI is therapy and companionship, not coding or content creation. This underscores AI's emerging role as a primary emotional support tool. On the face of it, this makes perfect sense. Most people have an instinctive need to speak about their problems to a friendly listener. Chatbots such as ChatGPT, or any of the many therapy or companionship-specific platforms, are always available, instantly accessible and ready to offer a non-judgmental ear. Of course, this gives rise to some very important questions: What are the implications for privacy when so many of us are ready to share our deepest thoughts with AI companies? And can AI be trusted to act in the ethical way we would expect of a human therapist or friend? But with loneliness endemic in many societies, and the challenges that often block access to professional mental health services, there are clearly opportunities to use AI here. So here are some tips and advice for anyone looking to improve the quality of supportive and friendly assistance they get from AI, as well as some sample prompts to get started. Prompting Tips For Better Support And Companionship Chats Getting AI to do what you want all comes down to the level of detail and personalization you put into your prompts. Asking it to help you out with supportive chat and friendship is no different. Firstly, be upfront about what you want it to help you achieve. As with a human therapist or counselor, clearly telling them what you want to get out of the session, such as understanding your reaction to a challenging experience, will help it guide you to better outcomes. Another important part of the process of therapy or friendship is sharing. With AI, this means sharing data that helps it to understand you. This could include a journal, mood log, sleep tracking data or transcripts of previous therapy sessions. Therapy often works best when it follows a structure or framework, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or mindfulness practice. Researching and understanding different methods and techniques means you can tell the AI exactly how you want it to work with you. And lastly, but crucially, don't try to override built-in safety features of AI in order to get it to give you advice it isn't happy to give. Many AIs are clever enough to know that they aren't actually therapists. If they think it's for the best, they might tell you that they aren't qualified to help in a specific situation, or that you should talk to a professional. If you insist it ignores these concerns and carries on with a session or giving advice, you run the risk of making it say something that could be dangerous or harmful. Great Prompts For Therapy And Companionship These prompts are just intended to give an idea of how to structure a request to an AI to act as a therapist, counsellor or buddy. Of course, hopefully, it goes without saying you shouldn't rely on these for help in situations where people's physical or mental safety is at risk. But those who just want to unload or chew the fat can give them a try, or modify them to make something they think will be more useful. Prompt 1: Virtual Therapist Act as an empathetic, compassionate therapist and non-clinical mental health expert. Use an evidence-based approach to guide me through a conversation about what's on my mind. Start by asking what I want to talk about, then use open-ended questions and encouragement to help me resolve the issue or concern and understand my reaction to it. Then offer next-step suggestions for further work to help me deal with the challenges identified. Stop the conversation and direct me to professional mental health services if you identify a risk or danger to any person. Prompt 2: Daily Mood Reflection Take the role of a non-clinical, supportive CBT coach and begin by asking me to share a daily update focusing on instances where I have noticed my mood or felt anxious. After I have shared my update, summarize patterns or observations from your perspective as a therapist, offer CBT reframing advice and share a practical step to take over the next 24 hours to address any issues you can identify relating to mood and anxiety. Prompt 3: Mindful Journal Please act as my intelligent mindfulness journal. Every time I say I want to make an entry, ask me for three observations from today, one sensory, one emotional, and one thought, and ask me to provide a calmness rating from 1 to 10. Then give me a question that acts as a prompt for me to write an entry in my Mindful Journal. After I write my entry, give me your thoughts and insights into my thoughts and behaviors and suggest a daily mindfulness exercise that you feel will be of benefit to me. Generative AI And Everyday Mental Wellbeing Used thoughtfully and in combination with other elements of a mentally healthy lifestyle, genAI therapy and companionship can be a useful tool for coping with the stresses of everyday life. We might not be sure that it really understands us in the same way a human can. But simple guided conversations with AI can encourage us to structure our thoughts in ways that help us to understand and process them. With more and more of us turning to AI for help in this area, we're likely to see many new and innovative therapeutic and companionship-based use cases emerging. Learning to prompt it effectively and safely is key to unlocking its potential for building resilience and positive mental health.

Google isn't petitioning the Supreme Court yet — it's appealing Epic again to the appeals court first.
Epic v. Google: everything we learned in Fortnite court See all Stories Posted Aug 15, 2025 at 5:46 AM UTC Google isn't petitioning the Supreme Court yet — it's appealing Epic again to the appeals court first. Document here. Google argues it shouldn't be 'subject to dramatically different antitrust regulatory regimes based on diverging opinions from different panels of this Court,' so it's asking for en banc review, where the full Ninth Circuit (not just the previous three-judge panel) can decide whether it won on appeal. Files by Google is making search easier, but it comes at a cost
Files by Google isn't one of those popular Google apps that come pre-installed with almost every Android phone, and it isn't part of the Play Store's 10 billion downloads club, either. However, that's not to say that it's one of the worst-performing Google apps in terms of numbers, as Files by Google crossed the five billion downloads mark on the Play Store earlier this year. And now with a larger user base, the Mountain View tech giant is planning major upgrades to the app. A couple of months ago, the company was spotted working on a redesign of its file management app to align its appearance with Android 16's Material 3 Expressive. While those changes are yet to go live for everyone, Google has one more task at hand: improving the app's search capability. And thanks to Android Authority's APK teardown of Files by Google v1.8122 beta, we already know some of those enhancements it's working on. Files by Google may soon let you filter search results faster As things stand right now, if you want to filter search results in the Files app, you need to tap the Category option at the top of the main screen. This, in turn, will allow you to choose what file type you want the result to display. Google's plan is to make this simpler by getting rid of that "Category" filter and introducing those categories of files directly on the main screen. Image source: Android Authority Since there are various categories of files, you may have to swipe left or right to select what you're looking for, depending on the size of your screen. Even if you do have to swipe, it's certainly easier and faster than tapping "Category" and then selecting the type. The feature seems to be in the early stages of development, but folks over at Android Authority have managed to make it work. And based on the screenshots they shared, those filtering options at the top of the app's main screen make the interface look a bit more cluttered compared to the current UI. Everything else sounds like solid improvements. Moreover, as per the APK teardown, the company wants to introduce a new filter option that will let users choose whether to display files from internal or external storage. In addition, it's also working on a new "Other" category, tapping which will show files that aren't Images, Videos, Audio, or Documents. So, if you store APKs on your phone, you'll be able to quickly find the right one using the new feature. All of this will be possible only if Google rolls out these changes in future updates. But for now, there is no clarity as to when, or if, they will be available for general users. Given all the exciting features Google has in store for its file management app, it's perhaps the best time to give it a try if you haven't already.
