Chilling graffiti left on wall as pregnant woman killed and husband decapitated
Police are investigating mysterious graffiti scrawled on the wall of a home where a pregnant woman was found dead and her husband decapitated.
Ross Judd, a 34-year-old homeless man, has been charged with double murder after the bodies of Athena Georgopoulos, 39, and 50-year-old Andrew Gunn were discovered by police at the property in the Mount Waverley area of Melbourne, Australia on Monday.
He was caught at around 1.40am on Tuesday at the city's Westall Station, and was walking with two German shepherds at the time. Officers had raced to the home after multiple worried neighbours reported hearing screams from inside, before being met with the grisly scene.
Now, new aerial photographs of the house show a number of cryptic messages spray-painted on the house, including "karma has no menu" and "enough is enough".
Police believe Judd had been to the home a number of times in the past, but was not related to the victims.
Detectives are now investigating how exactly Judd and Mr Gunn each other along with a potential motive, including a potential drug debt.
On Wednesday, Judd was seen winking at a sketch artist and smiled at members of the press as he appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court.
The court heard it was the 34-year-old's first time in custody, and no application for bail was made.
The prosecution requested a further 10 weeks to prepare their evidence due to the complex crime scene, and the significant DNA that needed to be processed by police.
Athena Georgopoulos' pregnancy at the time of her death also meant her and Andrew Gunn's autopsies would also be delayed, the court heard. Other elements of the investigation will include analysing CCTV footage, taking in electronic devices for analysis and further forensics, the prosecution said.
Defence lawyer Annie Allen agreed to the delay, and asked for Judd to be seen by a custody nurse over issues with his medication and physical health, reports The Age.
Judd is due to return to court in January next year, where he will appear via video-link. Detectives remained outside the home on a quiet residential street on Wednesday as neighbours said the deaths had left them scared to leave their own homes.
"It's not the sort of thing anyone thinks about happening in their own street", one resident told reporters.
In a moving tribute on Facebook, Athena's mother Petty Georgopoulos wrote: "I will not cease to always love you. Until we meet again my daughter, in the angel's light."

Pevchikh said: "If primary school teachers from the regions — even from Moscow — are watching me now, I apologise in advance, brace yourselves. The tutors of Putin's children receive 2,900,000 rubles a month (£26,775). "This monthly salary is comparable to the pay of a German teacher in [the Russian provinces] for seven years. And they're not paid by the pupils' father — after all, Putin's official salary is three times less than that of the foreign tutor." The campaigner claimed the money for these extortionately expensive and exclusive private tutors did not come from the tyrant but from one of his crony billionaires. Pevchikh added: "[The money comes from] Gennady Timchenko, who holds Putin's cashbox. That's the essence of the corruption system built by Vladimir Putin. From the very start of his first presidential term [in 2000] it was designed this way….and it continues to develop at a furious pace." Timchenko also made a payment of £4.6 million to Kabaeva's foundation, according to Pevchikh in a new investigation called 'Putin's Common Fund: Who Pays for Putin and Kabaeva's Luxurious Life?' The anti-Putin activist said: "Well, Putin can't just transfer it to her from his own salary card. And that's when dear comrade Timchenko comes to the rescue, transferring it from the place where the common money is kept." Referee David Coote given eight-week suspension over abusive words to Jurgen Klopp
A former Premier League referee has been given an eight-week suspension and told to attend an education programme over abusive words about ex-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. David Coote was charged by the Football Association in June 2025 after comments first emerged in a video circulating on social media last November. In the video, recorded in July 2020, the 42-year-old calls Klopp a 'German ****' and 'f***ing arrogant'. He is also heard to say it had been 's***' to be fourth official at a Liverpool match in the summer of 2020. Coote was suspended from his role, before he was sacked in December 2024. In January, he came out as gay in an interview with The Sun and said that a lifelong struggle to hide his sexuality had contributed to the rant about Klopp, and to his drug use. He said: 'My sexuality isn't the only reason that led me to be in that position. But I'm not telling an authentic story if I don't say that I'm gay and that I've had real struggles with hiding that. Howard Webb thinks a return to refereeing for David Coote is unlikely
Former Premier League match official Coote was on Tuesday given an eight-week suspension by the Football Association over abusive words he used about ex-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. He was sacked by Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) in December, a month after the video filmed in July 2020 came to light. The 43-year-old has a potential route back into football after the FA said he would be free to officiate again after serving the ban and completing an education programme. But PGMOL boss Webb feels that is unlikely. 'I think it'd be really difficult for David to come back, I'm afraid to say,' said Webb. 'He's somebody that we stayed in contact with, somebody who was part of our refereeing family for a long time and served the game for a long period of time and I've known him personally for many years. 'It's sad what happened with David but I think it would be challenging for him to come back.' Coote's misconduct was defined as an aggravated breach under the FA's rules because there was a reference to Klopp's nationality. In the video, he described Klopp as a 'German c***' and said he was 'f****** arrogant'. Coote was banned by European football's governing body UEFA until June 30, 2026 after a different video emerged of him snorting a white powder through a bank note while in Germany for Euro 2024. 'When it became apparent David had made some bad choices away from the football field, we had to care for him and we had to try to understand why he'd made some of those choices and were they connected to the job,' said Webb. 'We spoke to all of our officials and there was some feedback from them about the support that they think they need. 'It was a good time for us to reflect on the services that we do provide. 'We've got sports psychologists and some element of mental health and wellbeing and support. But there was a recognition that could be beefed up.' Webb, who took charge of the 2010 Champions League and World Cup finals before retiring in 2014, encouraged match officials to be open about personal issues. 'I don't want officials to have a fear that if they step forward and say, 'can we have a chat?' that that's going to impact their appointments,' said the 54-year-old. 'We wanted to really emphasise to them that doing that was a sign of strength and not weakness. 'I think we've made good ground over the last few months in that respect because we've probably not had those conversations previously. I think we've had a few of them since. 'Having been there myself, traditionally you'd say I've got to show strength, I've got to show nobody's getting to me, I've got a thick skin. But I think over time it can weigh you down.'
