TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Titles
WWE SmackDown will witness one of the most exciting bouts in this edition as WWE Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, Motor City Machine Guns, and #DIY will collide in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match.
According to WWE, the last TLC Match saw
Roman Reigns
defeat Kevin Owens nearly five years ago at WWE TLC 2020. Now, all three teams have recently held the
WWE Tag Team Championship
, and animosity has increased in recent weeks.
Last week, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins put their title on the line against Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley until Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa arrived to cause chaos and stole the titles, resulting in the match ending in a no-contest.
This activity prompted SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis to announce the return of this fan favorite matchup.
Mystery wrestler reveal
During last week's SmackDown, another mysterious trailer was shown, with flashing images and smoke, where the date for next Friday, 4.25.25, was displayed. This could be seen as a sign that Aleister Black, who left AEW earlier this year, is expecting to return in this edition of SmackDown.
John Cena and Cody Rhodes to appear
John Cena and Cody Rhodes are scheduled to appear on WWE SmackDown after their WrestleMania 41 main event, where John Cena won the title of the match. Post their

John Cena turns up in Lakers-inspired gear, beats up Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso with partner Logan Paul
WWE Champion John Cena and Logan Paul are set to team-up on Saturday at WWE Money in the Bank, and will face Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso. Ahead of the showdown, they confronted each other on the June 6 episode of SmackDown. But then it turned into a one-sided thrashing when Paul ambushed Uso from behind with a knockout punch. Cena also caught everyone's attention as he was wearing a LA Lakers jersey. Meanwhile, Cena ended the segment by talking to the live fans, who were chanting, 'We want Truth' at him, a reference to WWE's decision to renew R-Truth's contract. Cena responded, 'You can't handle the truth!' Recently, Cena opened up on his retirement plans. He said, 'My skills are on regress. If I continue at full physical involvement, I'm not going to run right. My partner's not gonna run right. Our relationship isn't gonna run right. Sorry, kid, it's time to close this chapter.' 'I used to do a clean and jerk with 330 pounds. That's a 300-pound snatch. I can't even do those lifts anymore because my body's so beat up. 'I wish I was 18. I wish I felt great. But I don't feel more at home, besides in the arms of my wife, than I do on the canvas,' he added.

WWE SmackDown results: John Cena, Logan Paul annihilate Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes ahead of Money in the Bank 2025
WWE SmackDown results: John Cena and Logan Paul destroyed her Money in the Bank opponents on the SmackDown before the Premium Live Event (PLE). Thereafter, 'The Last Real Champion' insulted the WWE Universe and vowed to ruin the wrestling business forever. John Cena, Logan Paul stand tall on SmackDown The penultimate segment of WWE SmackDown's latest episode saw Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed destroy Penta and Andrade. Thereafter, 'The Visionary' took to the mic to address the audience but was interrupted by Cody Rhodes. And the shows comes to a close. Rollins and his faction soon exited the ring as 'QB 1' and Jey Uso took center stage. Rhodes reminded Cena of how he had betrayed the goodwill of the audience at WrestleMania 41 to capture the Undisputed Championship for a record-breaking 17th time. He also pointed out that 'The Champ' had actually acted out of desperation when he kicked him in the privates at the event to get his hands on the belt. Rhodes and Uso were interrupted by John Cena, who asked the ring announcer to introduce him properly. This distraction gave Logan Paul an opportunity to sneak up from behind and knock out Jey Uso with a loaded punch. Rhodes tried to deliver a Cross Rhodes to 'The Maverick' but Cena hit him with the belt. Thereafter, the heels destroyed the faces and send a clear message to the locker room. After the beat down, Cena lauded Logan Paul and insulted the audience. How did this feud start? John Cena will be teaming up with Jey Uso to take on John Cena and Cody Rhodes at Money in the Bank. The feud started at Saturday Night's Main Event when 'The Franchise Player' attacked Jey Uso during his match with Logan Paul. This prompted Cody Rhodes to return to WWE programming for the first time since WrestleMania 41 and make the save.

R-Truth chants take over WWE SmackDown — John Cena doesn't hold back!
Universe chanted in support of R-Truth, but shut them down with five simple words. The wrestling fans were shocked to learn about the release of R-Truth from WWE recently. Yet, they have continued to be vocal about seeing his return to the company with loud chants on live shows and huge social media campaigns. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now A similar attempt was made by the fans this week on SmackDown. However, they encountered the ruthless Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena who acknowledged those chants and fired back right at them. John Cena acknowledged R-Truth chants on WWE SmackDown The final SmackDown before the Money in the Bank PLE took place at the Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield, California. The main event segment saw the appearance of the competitors of the tag team match set for the Money in the Bank event. Logan Paul launched a sneak attack on Jey Uso and John Cena went after his heated rival Cody Rhodes. Amidst the brawl, Cena delivered an AA to Rhodes and fans began to loudly chant 'We Want Truth.' Right after, he grabbed the microphone and fired back at the audience saying, "You can't handle the truth." This was a direct shot at R-Truth's release from WWE which has not been received well by the audience. The former WWE United States Champion was last involved in a program with John Cena. It began at the WWE Backlash PLE when Truth assisted Cena in his match against Randy Orton. However, he was not rewarded well as Cena put him through a table with an AA at the post-show media conference. This set up a non-title singles match between Truth and Cena for the May edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. The Unseen 17 utilized a low blow and AA to defeat R-Truth at the event. His last appearance came on the SmackDown following the SNME show after which he announced that WWE was not going to renew his contract. With Cena's remark, he would surely get a lot more heat for his heel run, while it remains to be seen if the WWE regime would listen to their audience and bring back R-Truth. Also read:
