Police in process of completing probe into LGBT programme, says IGP
KUALA LUMPUR: Police are in the process of completing the investigation paper on the organisation of a programme related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) matters.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the Classified Crimes Unit is finalising the investigation following the questioning of two people from Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) yesterday.
"A total of 38 questions were posed to both individuals, but they chose to respond to the questions in court.
"The entire session took place between 3.10pm and 4.30pm," he said when contacted today.

In addition, Jasin district police chief Supt Mohamad Rusli Mat has been appointed as Kuantan district police chief with the rank of acting ACP. North Korea internet hit by a major outage, analyst says
SEOUL: North Korea's internet is experiencing a major outage on Saturday (June 7), said a UK-based researcher, adding that the cause may be may be internal rather than a cyberattack. North Korea's main news web sites and its Foreign Ministry internet site were inaccessible on Saturday morning, according to checks by Reuters. "A major outage is currently occurring on North Korea's internet - affecting all routes whether they come in via China or Russia," said Junade Ali, a UK-based researcher who monitors the North Korean internet. North Korea's entire internet infrastructure is not showing up on systems that can monitor internet activities, he said. "Hard to say if this is intentional or accidental - but seems like this is internal rather than an attack," he said. Officials at South Korea's Police cyber terror response centre which monitors North Korea's cyber activities could not be reached for comment. - Reuters

Mother, uncle detained after boy falls to death from 30th floor in Bukit Jalil
KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 — Police have detained the mother and uncle of a four-year-old boy who died after reportedly falling from the 30th floor of an apartment in Bukit Jalil here yesterday. Cheras police chief ACP Aidil Bolhassan said the Indonesian nationals, aged 25 and 27 respectively, have been remanded until today to assist in investigations under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001. The boy's father is Malaysian, he said. 'Based on the post-mortem, the child died due to multiple injuries sustained after the fall. The cause that led to the incident is still under investigation,' he said in a statement. It was reported yesterday that police received an emergency call at 11.17 am regarding a boy who died after reportedly falling from the balcony of his home. — Bernama
