On the occasion of Mother's Day 2025, actor Vijay Varma melted hearts on social media with a post that was both wholesome and humorous. Celebrated on the second Sunday of May each year to honour the love, strength, and sacrifices of mothers, this year's Mother's Day fell on May 11. Joining the global celebrations, Vijay took to Instagram to share a touching tribute that struck the perfect balance between affection and wit.
In a short clip, Vijay was seen sitting beside his mother at a restaurant. As the clip began, the Darlings actor zoomed in on his phone's camera and gently asked his mom to smile. What followed was a heartwarming moment between the mother-son duo. In the sweetest way, Vijay's mother tried to smile for the camera, an effort so innocent that it left the actor in stitches. The moment instantly lit up the already joyous occasion.
Over the video, Vijay cheekily wrote, 'When you ask your mom to act natural," followed by a laughing face emoji. As for the 39-year-old actor's professional front, he recently wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming web series Matka King. Vijay shared some behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets to mark the successful conclusion of the filming for the show. The carousel began with a picture of the actor holding a large Matka-shaped cake, dressed in a formal grey striped shirt and grey pants. In the next few slides, Vijay was seen celebrating the wrap-up with his co-stars and crew.

South actor Akhil Akkineni tied the knot with entrepreneur Zainab Ravdjee on Friday. They held an intimate wedding ceremony in Hyderabad in the presence of their close people and family. Several pictures and videos from the wedding, featuring Naga Chaitanya, Nagarjuna and Ram Charan are currently doing rounds on the internet. Akhil and Zainab announced their relationship online in November last year. They had posted pictures, announcing their engagement. Akhil and Zainab married in the traditional Telugu style. Pictures had them sharing the frame with Akhil's parents, Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni. All of them wore matching ivory silk sarees and traditional outfits for the special occasion. While Akhil wore a simple pancha, Zainab opted for a traditional bridal look in an ivory saree and finished off her look with diamond jewellery. The wedding was attended by several celebrities.
