A MUM has left people begging to "rename somebody else's child" after her daughter's unique name was revealed.
A family friend took to Reddit to share the unusual moniker after somebody asked what the most 'out there' spelling of a common name they'd seen.

And it ended up raising eyebrows for all the wrong reasons thanks to its slightly shortened version.
So what's the name, you might ask.
It's Paige, but with a twist - namely that it is actually spelt "Paij".
The original poster said: "I have a friend whose name is spelled Paij.
"Her mum has actually apologised (in good fun) and said she was high on pain meds and just made a rash decision.
"Whenever she has to spell it, she ends with 'And yes I know it's stupid.' Poor girl!"
The comments section of the post was immediately filled with others slamming the name choice, with one writing: "This is when the mum should've went and changed it when the meds wore off."
A second said: "Oh no LMAO that's bad."
"How do I rename somebody else's child?" fumed a third.
A fourth chimed in: "I've met a Payge but this is something else."
I'm trolled over my kids' unique names - even the midwife questioned my choice
Meanwhile, a fifth blasted: "If you aren't responsible enough to name a kid, you shouldn't have a kid!"
The name controversy comes after a new study revealed the names that are quickly becoming favourites and topping the 2025 name charts already.
The research was put together using internal data from My 1st Years, the UK's leading personalised baby gift brand, and revealed that Luca, Teddy and Jude are some of the most popular of the year.
Paige vs Paij
Scottish Sun reporter Paige Beresford weighs in on the controversial spelling...
I love the name Paige - it's unique and sophisticated, whilst being lovely and gentle at the same time.
But I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of this spelling.
Over the years, I've seen loads of variations of the name 'Paige', including Payge, Page and even Paege.
But Paij is definitely a new one, and not one that I particularly like.
The name Paige itself is unique, and even though it's grown in popularity over recent years, it's still not very common. So I don't understand why parents-to-be would want to try and find an uncommon spelling of an already special name.
Personally, I think the traditional spelling of the name makes it softer. Although it is a gender-neutral name, the added 'i' and the 'ge' make it look more feminine and delicate.
Replacing the 'ge' with a 'j' makes it sound harsher, and I think if I were to grow up with this spelling of the name, I'd be a bit frustrated and would wish that it were spelt the traditional way.
Also, so many people would get the spelling wrong - you'd spend so much time correcting people on the way it was spelt, as most would assume it would have the 'i' in the middle.
However, no matter how it's written down, I do love the name, which means "assistant", "helper", or "young servant" and is derived from the Old French word "page," which referred to a young male servant in a noble household.
And according to one baby name expert site, little girls named Paige are often described as being kind, helpful, and compassionate and are also often creative and intelligent.
So there's no doubt that any little one with this name will mark the beginning of the most loving and exciting chapter in your life - no matter the spelling.
According to the study, personalised gift orders using the name Luca are up a whopping 21 per cent,
"When it comes to real-time baby name trends, gift sales often beat the birth certificate," Molly Ejdowski, spokesperson at My 1st Years, said.
"Luca's rise is especially interesting, it's stylish, pan-European, and growing fast."
On the girl front, Isla remains one of the favourites.
