Overview
The Pacifica has long been the lifeblood of Chrysler, which invented the minivan segment back in the 1980s. It seats up to eight people with enough space between rows to keep quarreling children separated. It offers almost every imaginable goodie, from a built-in vacuum to lumbar pillows, all-wheel drive to a plug-in-hybrid powertrain. And the gas-only model readily converts into a cargo van, with Chrysler's patented Stow 'n Go second- and third-row seats capable of folding flat into the floor. The V-6 powertrains—available with and without electric-motor assistance—are reasonably powerful, though the efficient plug-in setup proved problematic during our long-term test, and the gas engine is pretty thirsty. Even so, the Pacifica has earned a dedicated following, outselling rivals like the Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Kia Carnival year after year.
What's New for 2026?
Joining the Pacifica lineup for 2026 is a 100th Anniversary Edition. Slotted just above the base trim level, this model celebrates Chrysler's 1925 founding with a commemorative decal on the back of the van and some understated styling changes to the fascia and wheels. Front parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system are also provided.

The price of the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica is expected to start around $44,460 and go up to $61,800 depending on the trim and options.

The Select model offers the best mix of features and value. Standard items include a heated steering wheel, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, second-row sunshades, and 17-inch wheels. We're fine sticking with front-wheel drive, but we understand some consumers may want the additional peace of mind this van's optional all-wheel-drive system offers for a $2.995 upcharge. We'd suggest staying with the standard 3.6-liter V-6, though, as we had a few reliability hiccups with our long-term Pacifica Hybrid during its 40,000-mile stay.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance
In gas-only guise, the Pacifica packs a 287-hp 3.6-liter V-6 and a nine-speed automatic transmission under its hood. The Pacifica Hybrid makes less total horsepower (only 260 ponies) from its 3.6-liter V-6 and two electric motors, which are backed by a 16.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. You can't get all-wheel drive on the Pacifica Hybrid, though; it's exclusively a front-driver.
0–60-MPH Times
It's not the quickest minivan we've tested, but the front-wheel-drive Pacifica is far from sluggish. It feels plenty peppy around town and reaches 60 mph in 7.3 seconds, which puts it about mid-pack in terms of performance. In our testing, the Pacifica Hybrid needed an additional 0.5 second to hit 60 mph relative to its more powerful kin.

Towing and Payload Capacity
The maximum towing capacity for the Chrysler Pacifica is 3600 pounds. Chrysler doesn't recommend towing with the Pacifica Hybrid.
Range, Charging, and Battery Life
According to the EPA, the 2025 Pacifica Hybrid can travel up to 32 miles on electric power. Around town, we bettered that range estimate by one mile. On the highway, the Pacifica Hybrid managed 23 miles of electric-only driving before the gasoline engine kicked on.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
In addition to being space efficient, a minivan should be fuel efficient, which the Pacifica Hybrid undoubtedly is with an EPA rating of 82 MPGe combined. MPGe stands for miles per gallon of gas equivalent, an EPA metric that estimates PHEV and EV vehicle fuel efficiency. The gas-only model, on the other hand, returns middling fuel economy for the class. Though the EPA has yet to post the 2026 minivan's numbers, it's safe to assume the 2025 model's ratings—up to 19 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined—will carry over. That said, the Pacifica Limited we tested surpassed these expectations, delivering a respectable 31 mpg on our 75-mph highway fuel-economy route. Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Airy, spacious, and packed with cubbies, cupholders, and underfloor bins, the Pacifica is big on the features that minivan buyers love. Fit, finish, and materials are all decent, but a few down-market plastic pieces lurk inside the cabin. Upscale Limited and Pinnacle models come with taller center consoles that blend more seamlessly with the dashboard, giving those trims a more SUV-like feel from behind the wheel. The fancy Pinnacle model comes with quilted-leather upholstery and even offers matching lumbar pillows for the second-row captain's chairs—a feature we haven't seen since the last time the ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S-class visited our office. Because the Pacifica's standard Stow 'n Go seats need to be compact enough to fold into the van's floor, they have thinner padding than you'll find in rival vans. To make up for relinquishing the Stow 'n Go second row in the Pacifica Hybrid (the battery pack takes up all the underfloor-storage space), Chrysler engineers added extra cushioning to the standard captain's chairs. When it comes to hauling cargo, the Pacifica doesn't disappoint. We managed to fit 53 of our carry-on suitcases inside with the second- and third-row seats stowed. A built-in vacuum cleaner is available as an option, but it occupies space that can otherwise be devoted to an optional mini-spare tire.

Infotainment and Connectivity
Chrysler's Uconnect 5 infotainment system displays on a glossy 10.1-inch touchscreen that's framed by climate-control vents on the van's dashboard. Uconnect 5 offers a reconfigurable home screen and Amazon Alexa integration. It also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An optional rear-seat entertainment system provides dual touchscreens to keep the kids placated and can be had with Amazon Fire TV, which provides access to movies and TV via embedded streaming apps. Up to 12 USB ports dot the Pacifica's cabin, including some that are the USB-C type, which offer quicker charging speeds for smart devices.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Pacifica offers nearly every conceivable driver-assistance feature available today. Shares of Uber climbed 10.9% in June, according to data provided by S&P Global Market Intelligence, on investor excitement about the company offering autonomous rideshare services in a second major U.S. market. Uber is perhaps the biggest name in ridesharing and initially had hoped to develop its own self-driving vehicle, but the company, in recent years, has been more focused on partnering with others. But as the vehicles roll out from a number of vendors in the years to come, it appears the actual technology could become commoditized. One injured in log truck crash that closed Territorial highway southwest of Eugene
This story was updated to add new information. Territorial Highway near the Lorane Highway junction southwest of Eugene reopened just before 5 p.m. on June 30 after a log truck rolled over and dumped its load onto the highway. The crash was reported at 2:30 p.m. Lane Fire Authority officials advised travelers to expect delays and plan an alternate route, as the closure was expected to be prolonged.
