Embassy: Malaysians in Jordan unaffected by Sunday attacks in Iran
KUALA LUMPUR — All Malaysian citizens in Jordan are well and unaffected by the attacks taking place in Iran early Sunday morning.
In a statement, the Malaysian Embassy in Amman, Jordan, said the current situation in the country is stable and local authorities are tightening security measures to ensure public safety.
The embassy said on its Facebook page that recent incidents of unknown debris falling in Amman and Azraq took place far away from the living quarters of Malaysian students.
'The embassy will continue to monitor the situation in Jordan and provide updates from time to time,' it said.

Kyrgyz President To Visit Malaysia To Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 (Bernama) – Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov will undertake a two-day official visit to Malaysia starting Tuesday, during which he will hold discussions with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various sectors. In a statement on Monday, the Foreign Ministry said Zhaparov will be accorded an official welcoming ceremony at the Perdana Putra Complex in Putrajaya on Tuesday (June 25). Zhaparov will have a bilateral meeting with Anwar where both leaders are expected to deliberate on strengthening bilateral cooperation, including in trade and investment, renewable and green energy, the halal industry, agricommodity, tourism, education, as well as capacity-building assistance through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP). bootstrap slideshow The two leaders will also exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest. KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 (Bernama) -- Malaysia seized the global stage at the recently concluded 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, calling for unity among member states to confront the challenges facing the Islamic world, particularly the Palestine issue and escalating tensions in the Middle East. Delivering the country's national statement, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan strongly condemned the atrocities committed by Israel, describing them as egregious crimes against humanity that must be stopped immediately.
