Cam Ward isn't sugarcoating the state of the Titans' offense. 'I just think we're very mid right now,' the rookie quarterback told reporters after Wednesday's training camp practice. 'From my position, to up front, to the receiver position, but, at the end of the day, it all starts with me.' Ward, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is expected to start the season as Tennessee's starting quarterback. 'I just don't think we're where we need to be. But we've got a little bit of time. Every day we get better as a whole. We're a young team. But that's no excuse.' It's been a tough week at training camp for Ward, who has thrown four interceptions in the two practices since pads came on. Despite the quarterback's struggles in training camp, Titans coach Brian Callahan said before Wednesday's practice that he had full confidence that Ward would bounce back. 'It's just sort of how he's wired,' Callahan said. 'I feel really good about how he'll respond to any negativity in general.' The Titans open the season on the road against the Broncos on Sept. 7.
