New van dubbed luxury ‘private lounge' on wheels thanks to 65-inch cinema screen, ‘karaoke mode' & leather recliners

MERCEDES has revealed the ultimate in luxury travel with a new MPV that's been likened to a 'private lounge'.
The new-look V-Class concept isn't just an ordinary-looking van with extra bells and whistles – it's potentially the king of all people carriers.

The German giants, who showcased the VIP shuttle at the Shanghai Motor Show, claim they have "set a benchmark" for the
future
of premium driving.
The new V-Class line-up promises a range of practical family vehicles that scale all the way up to 'luxurious limousines' – with the first model set to arrive in 2026.
While the exterior might resemble a slightly more futuristic-looking van, Mercedes says it 'marks the
next
step' in their design language, with aerodynamics playing a significant role in its appearance.
features
a new grille, similar to that found on the EQS, as well as a tweaked headlamp design and an illuminated standing star logo.

Sadly, it seems that the sleek rear light bar will likely be toned down before it enters mass production.
But the best
features
can be found inside the four-seat cabin, which has been dubbed a 'private lounge' for the vehicle's rear passengers.
These include white Nappa leather upholstery and a retractable 65-inch cinema screen, along with a 42-speaker sound system and two airline-style seats that are fully reclinable.
If that isn't enough, there are seven projectors fitted to create different ambiences, while the rear windows can be switched from transparent to opaque to give passengers a 'unique cocooning effect'.

For those who don't just want to relax, the MPV can transform into a gaming hub, offering, for example, racing games that can be controlled with a fully integrated controller.
There's even a karaoke feature – for those who do their best singing behind the wheel.
Luxury £1m motorhome with huge living space, heated floors & spa bathroom
At this stage, it's hard to determine which features will carry over to the production model – although it's safe to assume the production-spec steering wheel, the three-screen Superscreen, and crystal-look air vents will be included.
So too is the extensive interior space – made possible by Mercedes' VAN.EA platform.
This follows
Dubbed the Big Boy 1200, the mighty motorhome comes equipped with a full kitchen, a luxury living room, and even heated flooring, all wrapped up in a staggering £1 million price tag.
The 12-metre-long, 26-tonne motorhome is based on the Mercedes Actros truck and has been expertly converted by Belgian specialist STX Motorhomes.
Packed with high-end features, the Big Boy 1200 offers a 30-square-metre living space – comparable in size to a small one-bedroom flat.
This impressive space is made possible by four electrically powered slide-out modules, which expand the bedroom and living areas when the vehicle is stationary.

Some of the features seen on the concept will unlikely be found on the production model, such as the rear-light strip

Trump refuses to speak to Musk after he 'lost his mind' as fiery feud continues

U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated that he's "not particularly" interested in talking to the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency after the two had a public spat. Speaking with ABC News, the president told ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl that he didn't want to talk to his former pal . "You mean the man who has lost his mind," Trump said. According to Trump , he was "not particularly" interested in speaking to Musk at the moment. It was also reported that Trump issued a statement to CNN saying, 'I'm not even thinking about Elon. He's got a problem. The poor guy's got a problem." When asked whether or not he plans to talk to the tech mogul Trump stated,'No. I won't be speaking to him for a while I guess, but I wish him well.' According to those closest to Trump, the White House has scheduled a call with Musk to try to broker a peace between the former pals. The president's comments are a stark contrast to his earlier lambasting of Musk during his meeting with the German Chancellor yesterday. Several Republican allies attempted to ease the tensions between the two. Earlier in the day, the billionaire raged that the cost of legislation is projected to add $2.4 trillion to the deficit (Image: AFP via Getty Images) "I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country," hedge fund manager Bill Ackman wrote. Musk then retweeted the post, writing, "You're not wrong.' Earlier in the day, the billionaire raged that the cost of legislation is projected to add $2.4 trillion to the deficit. At the alleged urging of his aides, Trump tempered the verbiage of his posts. The outlet stated that aides told Trump to focus on the bill and getting it through the Senate instead of his conflict with the X CEO. (Image: AFP via Getty Images) The telling off from MAGA allies came almost two hours after Musk attacked the president on his own social media site, X. "Elon was 'wearing thin,' I asked him to leave," Trump wrote in the first post. "[I] took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!" Trump then doubled down on his comments in a second , but equally fiery post. "The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon's Governmental Subsidies and Contracts," he added. "I was always surprised that Biden didn't do it!" This barrage against the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency did not sit well with many people on the MAGA site. Many of the users were spotted commenting on the post, saying that it was "not a good look" for the president. "Elon Musk helped to save our Republic last election cycle," one person commented. "Please stop this war of words between the two of you. If memory serves me correctly, something similar happened in Trump's first term with Elon." "You should fix this with a phone call, not through media," a second person commented. "Why are you picking a fight with one of your best allies. So stupid," a third person stated. "I wish President Trump and Musk would not trade public barbs like this," a fourth person pleaded. "It diminishes both of your accomplishments and makes you look like high school girls in a social media fight. Please, guys. Rein it in. We are so proud of you, both of you!"

Elon Musk hits out as Trump reveals he was 'upset' and 'disturbed' before leaving White House

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has issued a fiery retort to U.S. President Donald Trump 's scathing remarks about him during his meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House. During the meeting , Musk made several scathing remarks. "Whatever," Musk wrote. "Keep the EV/solar incentive cuts in the bill, even though no oil & gas subsidies are touched (very unfair!!), but ditch the MOUNTAIN of DISGUSTING PORK in the bill." "In the entire history of civilization, there has never been legislation that both big and beautiful," he added. Musk later reposted a clip of Trump badmouthing him and saying that he had seen a copy of the bill before he left. The attacks on his former boss come after Trump lambasted Musk during a meeting with the German Chancellor when a reporter asked the president how he felt about the X CEO's attacks. "Well, look, I like Elon and I was very surprised," Trump said. Musk later reposted a clip of Trump badmouthing him and saying that he had seen a copy of the bill before he left. (Image: Getty Images) "You saw the words he had for me and he hasn't said anything about me which is bad," Trump added. "I would rather have him criticize me than the bill. Because the bill is incredible." "It's the biggest cut in the history of our country we've ever cut, Trump added. "It's about 1.6 trillion cuts." However, Trump did not stop there and doubled down on the comments. According to Trump, "Elon knew this from the beginning from a long time ago." Trump said, "I know that disturbed him. He wanted somebody whom he knew very well to run NASA and I didn't think it was appropriate. He happened to be a Democrat. We won, we get certain privileges." "You saw the words he had for me and he hasn't said anything about me which is bad," Trump added (Image: Bloomberg via Getty Images) "You saw a man who was very happy when he stood behind the Oval desk. Even with a black eye," Trump added. "I said, do you want a little makeup? He said, 'No, I don't think so,' which is interesting ... Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore." "I'm very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody sitting here," Trump lamented. "He had no problem with it. All of a sudden, he had a problem, and he only developed the problem when he found out we're gonna have to cut the EV mandate." Trump believed that Elon was going to come after hi next. (Image: Getty Images) "He hasn't said bad about me personally but I'm sure that'll be next. But I'm very disappointed in Elon," he said. Of course, Elon refused to go quietly and posted, "Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate." "Such ingratitude," he said. This past week, Musk slammed the president and his bill in various attacks on social media. According to Musk, the Big Beautiful Bill, undermines all the work DOGE allegedly has done. "I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it," he wrote. Musk also spoke out against the bill on Sunday during an interview on CBS's Sunday Morning. "I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing," he said.
