Overland Park police asking for help in identifying robbery suspects

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are asking the public for help in identifying two people involved with a suspected felony theft at a store in Overland Park.
According to the , at about 1:25 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, the suspects walked into a store near West 115th Street and Metcalf Avenue and stole several pieces of computer and electronic merchandise.
OPPD said the individuals then fled the scene in a maroon Chevrolet Malibu with a temporary Missouri license plate. Officers tried to stop the suspects, but they drove away from police.

CHICAGO (WGN) — A man is in custody after officers say he allegedly fired a gun on a CTA bus on the West Side early Friday morning. Officers said the incident unfolded around 1:30 a.m. on a bus that was driving in the 1400 block of North Ashland Avenue in West Town. Officers said following the gunshot, the bus came to a stop and the suspect allegedly fled the scene. Authorities responded to the scene and quickly caught up with the suspect and took him into custody. Following his arrest, a gun was recovered. Offices say charges against the man are now pending. An investigation into the incident is ongoing and no injuries were reported. CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY)– Virginia State Police have issued a Codi Alert for an endangered boy in Chesapeake. According to state police, 17-year-old Jose Miguel Pomales was last seen at his residence on June 10 at 3:40 p.m. The description of his clothing is unknown. He may be operating a 2017 Chevrolet Sonic with Virginia license plate: TEK4237. Pomales is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5'10 and 186 pounds. He has an appendix scar. Police say he is considered endangered and may be a danger to himself.
