Shocking details emerge in Quadruple suspect Austin Drummond's cushy jail life, here's all you need to know

Mint2 days ago
Quadruple murder suspect Austin Drummond lived in shocking comfort during his 13-year prison term, posting Facebook photos of his cell stocked with Ciroc vodka, Roku streaming devices, video games, and cellphones.
One November 2023 photo showed him holding vodka with the caption: 'Almost home living it up'.
Experts say this contraband points to major security failures. "Prison staff showed irresponsibility and neglect," said former NYPD detective Pat Brosnan, noting mandatory "shakedowns" should catch banned items.
Drummond faced four prior contraband charges but kept accessing luxury goods, possibly with staff help.
On July 29, Drummond allegedly murdered four relatives in Lake County: parents James Wilson (21) and Adrianna Williams (20), grandmother Cortney Rose (38), and teen uncle Braydon Williams (15).
Their bodies were found in woods near Tiptonville, hours after their 7-month-old daughter was abandoned in a stranger's yard in Tigrett.
Authorities called the baby's abandonment a "sign of compassion" that ensured her safety. Drummond, who reportedly dated Rose's sister, had a "familial relationship" with the victims, though his motive remains unclear.
Despite warnings, Drummond was freed in September 2024 after serving time for armed robbery and prison retaliation charges.
In 2020, District Attorney Jody Pickens urged parole boards to keep him jailed, calling Drummond a "confirmed Vice Lords gang member" with 25+ discipline violations including weapons possession and assaults.
Over 12 agencies hunt Drummond across Tennessee after he was spotted August 4 in camouflage, armed with a rifle, near Jackson.
Three associates, Tanaka Brown, Giovonte Thomas, and Dearrah Sanders, face charges for helping him evade capture.
Authorities recovered his white Audi and Ford truck but warn he remains 'armed and dangerous'. A $32,500 reward is offered for tips leading to his arrest. Residents are urged to lock doors and report sightings to the Dyer County Police Department using 1-800-TBI-FIND.

Bengaluru Woman Arrested For Promoting Al-Qaeda Ideology, Urged Pakistani Army To Invade India

Ansari was arrested from her residence on July 29 on charges of spreading propaganda on behalf of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) Shama Parveen Ansari, a Bengaluru-based woman arrested by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), had allegedly appealed to Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir to invade India under 'Operation Sindoor" as part of a radical campaign to 'unify Muslim lands" under 'Project Khilafat," officials said. Ansari was arrested from her residence on July 29 on charges of spreading propaganda on behalf of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), a banned terror organisation. According to the ATS, she operated two Facebook pages and one Instagram account with approximately 10,000 followers, where she regularly posted jihadi, anti-India content, as well as material linked to AQIS and other radical preachers. The ATS said that on May 9, two days after India launched Operation Sindoor targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK, Ansari posted an appeal on Facebook urging General Munir to seize the 'golden opportunity" to attack India. The post featured Munir's photograph and read: 'You have a golden opportunity… adopt Project Khilafat for the implementation of Islam, unify Muslim lands, and march forward to eliminate Hindutva and Zionism… So march forward." Ansari's digital footprint led investigators to link her to one of four individuals arrested two weeks earlier in a multi-state operation for allegedly sharing similar provocative content on Instagram. The four, including two individuals from Gujarat, were arrested from different locations. All five accused, including Ansari, have been booked under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the ATS said in its statement. Anne Burrell's friends are suspicious about her suicide, say she was ‘too happy to die' as drug overdose of 100 pills makes no sense

The culinary world was shaken when news broke that celebrity chef Anne Burrell had died at just 55. Weeks later, the New York City medical examiner confirmed the cause of death: suicide, brought on by acute intoxication from a cocktail of diphenhydramine, ethanol, cetirizine and amphetamine. Friends in disbelief as Anne Burrell's death ruled suicide Yet, those closest to the Food Network star are struggling to believe that Burrell had any intention of ending her life. Friends who spent time with the Worst Cooks in America host shortly before her death say she was in high spirits. One source described her as 'on Cloud 9' after a comedy performance the same night, adding that she seemed to be 'having the time of her life' at the Improv. Did Anne Burrell really commit suicide? According to those who knew her best, Anne Burrell was the kind of person who lived life loudly. They recall her joy for the everyday and a personality that lit up every room. Many believe the toxic combination of substances in her system could have led to a moment of impaired judgement, one that spiralled into tragedy. 'She was not someone who carried darkness,' one insider noted. 'There was no sign, no warning. For her, every day was a party. That is how she lived.' Anne Burrell's death happened due to drug overdose of 100 pills On June 17, Burrell was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home. The internal NYPD report, cited by The New York Times, stated she was discovered in the shower, surrounded by around 100 pills. A 911 call came in at 7:50 a.m., reporting suspected cardiac arrest. Emergency medical services confirmed her death at the scene. It remains unclear whether the amphetamine found in her system was a prescribed medication or a street drug. This uncertainty only adds to the confusion and heartbreak for those mourning her. Her family released a statement remembering her as a radiant soul whose warmth touched millions. 'Though she is no longer with us, her love and spirit remain eternal,' it read. As the world mourns the loss of a beloved chef and television mentor, her inner circle continues to ask the question no one can answer: was this truly a suicide, or a moment of tragic misjudgement?

Woman held for AQIS propaganda urged Pak Army chief to invade India during Op Sindoor: ATS

Ahmedabad: A woman arrested by Gujarat ATS for allegedly promoting Al-Qaeda agenda had appealed to Pakistan Army chief General Asim Munir to invade India during Operation Sindoor to "unify Muslim lands" under "Project Khilafat", officials have said. Shama Parveen Ansari was arrested from her residence in Bengaluru on July 29 on charges of spreading the propaganda of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), a banned terror outfit, through her social media pages. The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Wednesday stated Ansari operated two Facebook pages and an Instagram handle with 10,000 followers to share provocative, jihadi and anti-India content of the AQIS and some other radical preachers. On May 9, two days after India launched the Operation Sindoor against terror dens in Pakistan and PoK, Ansari uploaded a post on her FB account appealing Gen Munir to seize the "golden opportunity" to attack India, according to a release issued by ATS. In the FB post, which had the photo of Munir, Ansari stated, "You have a golden opportunity.. adopt Project Khilafat for the implementation of Islam, unify Muslim lands, and march forward to eliminate Hindutva and march forward." In a video Ansari shared on her Instagram account, a preacher can be heard criticising Indian Muslims for extending their support to the Army and condemning the Pahalgam terror attack. In another video clip Ansari shared, the Imam of Lahore's Lal Masjid Abdul Aziz can be heard making provocative statements about establishing the Khilafat System in India through armed revolution against the government, said the release. A third video shows an AQIS leader talking about "Ghazwa-e-Hind" and making provocative calls to unleash violence against the Indian state, particularly targeting members of the Hindu community and institutions of democratic governance, the ATS said. Ansari was linked to one of the four persons nabbed two weeks ago for allegedly sharing the provocative content through their Instagram accounts, as per the ATS. These four persons, including two from Gujarat, were arrested from different locations in a multi-state operation, officials earlier said. All the five individuals have been booked under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
