Russell Martin is leading Rangers into his first match as the Ibrox boss.
On what his message to his players was in the dressing room before the tie, he said: "I think to trust the work they've done over the last four and a half weeks, to stick together no matter what happens, to run relentlessly, to fight for everything and to try and be the team we want to be.
"So to get the crowd behind them quickly with energy, enthusiasm, and physicality.
"So I'm really excited about it, and we'll learn so much about where we're at tonight and what we need to do.
"But I believe the players are ready to win the game and to put in a performance that we're all happy with."

Prince William pauses summer break with Kate and kids to make major announcement

Prince William has been enjoying some family time away from his royal duties but has now halted their break for an announcement. Prince William will make a visit to Switzerland to cheer on the Lionesses in their Euro 2025 final on Sunday in an announcement made by Kensington Palace. The Prince of Wales, who is patron of the Football Association, will be at the finale of Women's Euros in Basel after England were victorious against Italy last night. ‌ They will play the winners of the semi-final between Germany and Spain, which takes place tonight. Both William and Kate have stepped away from their royal duties over the past week to spend some quality time with their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who are currently off school on their summer break. ‌ It's likely William and the rest of the Wales family have been keeping a close eye on the fortunes of the Lionesses as straight after their extra-time win last night thanks to a winning goal from Chloe Kelly. The prince took to social media to gush: "Brilliant performance @Lionesses! One game from glory!" ‌ Earlier in the tournament, the future King travelled to Switzerland to watch the England women's team in their group match against the Netherlands, which they won 4-0. Before they headed off for the championships, he also visited the team at their St George's Park training ground, the Mirror reports. There, he told them: "The men's team could definitely learn off your camaraderie and your team environment. You're brilliant together, you create a very unique unit that is rare in lots of other sports. "So hold onto that, treasure that, build on it, because it's one of your greatest assets." William previously handed over the trophy to the England women's team when they won the 2022 Women's Euros after beating Germany at Wembley. However, he was heavily criticised in 2023 when he did not travel to support the team after they reached the World Cup final against Spain the following year, which they ultimately lost. ‌ He did send his best wishes ahead of the match though with a video message where he wished the players good luck alongside his daughter Charlotte. It's not known if any of his three kids will join him at Sunday's match, although his eldest son Georgen did accompany him at the men's Euro final against Spain in Berlin last year, which they lost. ‌ The announcement of William's presence at the final comes after the King also issued a statement last night to congratulate the team after reaching the final. In a statement posted on social media, the King said: 'My wife and I join all our family in wishing you, the proud Lionesses, our warmest congratulations on reaching the final of the Uefa Euro tournament. 'Your journey to this stage has been nothing short of remarkable, showcasing the skill, determination (and test of nerve!) for which your team is so rightly celebrated. Knowing the Lionesses' fighting spirit, I suspect we are in for another thrilling encounter on Sunday. 'Your achievements continue to inspire countless girls and women across the nation, proving once again that with dedication and teamwork, anything is possible. Good luck, England. May you roar to victory once more. Charles R." Prime Minister Keir Starmer also posted on social media 'what a performance', adding: 'Into the final and inspiring the nation. Let's bring it home.'

Stunning strikes from Findlay Curtis and debutant Djeidi Gassama sealed the crucial first leg win in the Champions League second qualifying round tie. Bailey Rice was in the squad for the clash but didn't get off the bench. Still, he certainly enjoyed a good day and not only because of the football! Earlier in the day, Rice's RACEHORSE enjoyed a successful afternoon of things in the feature race at Musselburgh. Jm Jhingree was victorious in the Hays Travel Holiday Outside The Box Handicap in East Lothian. A 10/1 outsider, the three-year old won the 10-horse race with jockey Paul Mulrennan. It's Jm Jhingree's first ever victory. He's trained by Jim Goldie, who took to social media to exclaim his delight at the victory for the horse - and its owner! Gers ace Rice, 18, wasn't there to see his horse triumph, for rather obvious reasons. Rangers fans unfurl giant tifo ahead of Russell Martin's first match Trainer Goldie posted on X: "We're delighted for his owner Bailey Rice as this is his first winner! "Unfortunately he couldn't make it to Musselburgh as there's an important Champions League qualifier at Ibrox he may be playing in!" Rice was an unused sub during the huge clash in Govan. He'll be hoping to see some action in Greece next week when the Gers look to see the tie through and progress to the next round.
