10 Creepy Tales to Stream for Free on Tubi

The sheer amount of content on free streamer Tubi is both exciting and a bit intimidating. However, if weird horror is what you seek, you need only dig past the overstuffed landing page to find some surprisingly intriguing selections. Here are 10 picks we recommend to get you started. Writer-director James Watkins' Speak No Evil remake might've been a bust, but his 2008 directorial debut starring Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone), Michael Fassbender (X-Men), and Jack O'Connell (Sinners) is nearly as intense as the original Speak No Evil was. Though its story is familiar—city-dwellers head to the country and run afoul of local ne'er-do-wells—Eden Lake has a mean streak that makes its horror all the more visceral and lingering. Watch on Tubi. This 1962 pairing of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford as aging, warring sisters is the ultimate example of 'hagsploitation,' but for all its campy delights, it also runs a current of very palpable unease. One's a former child star, one's a former adult star who suffered a mysterious and career-ending accident, and they're stuck together in a Hollywood mansion filled with faded dreams, delusions, and murderous rage. Watch it once, watch it twice, watch it so many times its many quotable lines filter into your everyday speech. Watch on Tubi. Found footage horror has been done to death, but that doesn't take away from the fact that certain standout titles can still produce genuine frights. A real-life abandoned psychiatric hospital in South Korea provides the built-in ghostly feels for this 2018 tale of live-streamers who plot to fake a spooky broadcast, only to realize there's nothing phony about Gonjiam's evil reputation. Turn off all the lights and watch on Tubi. After Art the Clown's debut in anthology film All Hallows' Eve (which you can also watch on Tubi), but before his ascension into the slasher pantheon with Terrifier 2, he strutted his stuff in this 2016 Damien Leone feature, which also supplies the squirm-inducing origin story for future franchise staple Victoria. Subsequent installments have upped the gruesome factor, but the original Terrifier's 'sawing a woman in half while she's hanging upside down' situation will always have its place on the series' list of most horrifying moments. Watch on Tubi. Back in 2020, io9 took another look at 1997's Wishmaster and called it 'still one of the best bad movies ever.' Horror elites Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Angus Scrimm, and Tony Todd pop up in a tale that imagines an antiques delivery gone very awry unleashes a cursed jewel upon the world—then, subsequently, frees the evil djinn that's been lurking inside the gem for thousands of years. The special effects take precedence over logic and nuance, and an overall bonkers tone (which feels intentional, like everyone involved knew just what kind of movie they were making) only adds to the fun. Watch on Tubi. With Amazon's 'screenlife' take on War of the Worlds distinguishing itself as the hate-watch of summer 2025, perhaps it's time to revisit a different film using the same gimmick with much better results. One of the best pandemic-era horror films, Host elevated director Rob Savage to the horror A-list (he went on to make 2023's The Boogeyman) and made the case that, yes, a movie that takes place entirely within a Zoom call can deliver plenty of bone-rattling scares. Less original is its thematic caution against recklessly summoning spirits, but we can always use a fresh reminder on that front, can't we? Watch on Tubi. Destry Allyn Spielberg (yes, Steven's daughter) made her feature directorial debut with this Tubi original starring Michelle Dockery, Giancarlo Esposito, and a pack of kid actors. It's set in a world where most adults have fallen victim to a sinister virus, leaving the younger generation to fend for themselves—if they can avoid the ill-meaning remnants of the world before, as Dockery's frightful character certainly seems to be. Watch on Tubi. André Øvredal (Trollhunter, The Last Voyage of the Demeter) made his English-language directing debut with this 2016 tale starring Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch as father-and-son coroners… and one very unusual corpse. The Autopsy of Jane Doe has a fantastic twist that you may already know by now, but even if you anticipate what's coming, the slow-burn tension is still worth the ride. Watch on Tubi. The American remake of Train to Busan may have slid to the bottom of James Wan's to-do list, but zombie fans can always console themselves with the fact the original South Korean film's excellence—but also the fact that creator Yeon Sang-ho made both a live-action follow-up set in the same world (Peninsula) as well as this animated prequel. Released in 2016, just a few months after Train to Busan, Seoul Station takes us back to the very start of the deadly outbreak, making good use of its medium to infuse squishy terror into every frame. Watch on Tubi. Not a movie, but worthy of a mention here. As the remake rumbles into production, now's the time to start your Buffy binge, since Tubi has all seven seasons of the cult-beloved series, from 1997's 'Welcome to the Hellmouth' all the way through 2003's 'Chosen,' available to stream. Kirsten Dunst Says Son Had ‘Extremely Frightening' Health Scare in Budapest

Kirsten Dunst Says Son Had 'Extremely Frightening' Health Scare in Budapest originally appeared on Parade. Kirsten Dunst revealed she faced an 'extremely frightening' health scare involving her son while she was shooting on location in Budapest, but said 'everyone is fine now.' Dunst, 43, was filming an upcoming movie and her husband, actor Jesse Plemons, and their two sons, Ennis, 7, and James, 4, had traveled with her to live nearby throughout the duration of the shoot. Everything was going fine until James had 'a serious health scare,' and while Dunst didn't go into details about the incident, it was enough to cause Plemons and their sons to head back to Los Angeles so that extended family could help out. 'Final Destination, where you're imagining all the things that could go wrong, worst case scenarios happening to your child,' the Bring It On star said in a new interview with Town & Country published on Wednesday, August 20. 'I have never seen that movie, but I know the concept. That's how it feels to be a mother at times.' Dunst added that the nearly tragic situation brought her and Plemons, 37, 'together as a family in such a deeper way.' Now that everyone is feeling better, the Oscar nominee said that she and Plemons promised to take their sons on vacation 'anywhere James wanted to go,' and they're heading to the Bahamas soon. His one request? 'A beach where his sandcastle won't wash away.' Dunst and Plemons first met on the set of Fargo Season 2 in 2015, but they didn't start dating until the following year. In 2017, Plemons got down on one knee and popped the question, and one year later, they welcomed their first son. James arrived in May 2021, and in July 2022, the couple officially tied the knot. In March 2024, the Interview With a Vampire star opened about her relationship with Plemons and told Texas Monthly he was "one of the kindest humans [she had] ever met.' 'Immediately I felt safe, and he did too,' Dunst said, recalling how she felt when they met. 'I think that sensitivity makes him very astute when it comes to other people.' 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Kirsten Dunst Says Son Had 'Extremely Frightening' Health Scare in Budapest first appeared on Parade on Aug 20, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Aug 20, 2025, where it first appeared. Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons' son James, 4, suffered a ‘serious health scare': ‘Extremely frightening'

Kirsten Dunst is recalling a terrifying incident. The 'Roofman' star, 43, revealed that she and Jesse Plemons' youngest son, James, 4, had a 'serious health scare' earlier this year. Dunst told Town & Country that Plemons, 37, and sons James and Ennis, 7, joined her in Budapest while she filmed the movie 'The Entertainment System Is Down' in January. Dunst has kept mum about the details surrounding James' health woes, but she did confirm to the outlet that 'everyone is fine now.' The 'Power of the Dog' actress also took a moment to gush over her partner, noting that the incident 'brought us together as a family in a deeper way.' 6 Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons arrive at the Bal D'Ete At The Musée Des Arts Décoratifs on July 06, 2025 in Paris, France. They chose the Bahamas as James's only requirement was, 'I want to go to a beach where my sandcastle won't wash away.' Dunst has largely kept her kids out of the spotlight, but did reveal an inside look into her youngest's personality last year. 'He's almost three and when he's bad we call him Jimmy,' she expressed while on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' in April 2024. 'He's out of control. We actually call him baby Chris Farley because of the way he walks around and he's just hilarious. He's a crazy little dude.' 6 Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons at Netflix's 'El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie' premiere. ENT / Dunst also confessed that both her sons have seen her in the 2002 'Spider-Man' movie, but weren't impressed. 'Jimmy doesn't care. I think because I have red hair, but Jimmy just wants to watch the wrestling scene over and over again in 'Spider-Man 1,'' she stated. 'So you've shown the movie to them?' asked host Jimmy Kimmel, 57. Advertisement 6 Kirsten Dunst as Peggy Blumquist, Jesse Plemons as Ed Blumquist in 'Fargo.' 'Yes, I have. The only one that cares…honestly Ennis is afraid of it. And Jimmy's like psh psh psh,' she added before mimicking Spider-Man shooting out his webs. 'All around the house.' In 2024, Dunst gushed over motherhood. 'They make me better at what I do, for sure,' she told EXTRA at the time. 'I think once you become a mom, you're just more fearless in life.' Advertisement Plemons, for his part, has also opened up about becoming a dad. 'It's the best, man. It's so hard to put into words. All the cliches are true, what every parent tells you,' he told GQ in 2019. 6 Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons. Lisa OConnor/ / MEGA Advertisement Despite having famous parents, Dunst made it clear she wants her kids to wait to enter the limelight. 'If you have a kid who's very cute, I get why people do it. Do a Gap ad and you can make your college money. It's the first time I kind of understand it,' she told PorterEdit in 2019. 'Ennis is so adorable, with two big dimples. He is such a happy baby, and I see why I might want that memento of him at this age, but we will probably just encourage him to do school plays.'
