Rod Stewart's Glastonbury boombox toilet and other unusual loos
Some of the biggest names in the world of music are performing at Glastonbury this year, but a toilet at the festival is also pulling in the crowdsInside a giant stereo, the special loo is decorated with leopard print - a pattern co-designer rockstar Sir Rod Stewart often wears.People using it will also be welcomed with the sound of some of his famous songs. It's part of a partnership with the organisation WaterAid to show the importance of clean water and spread awareness of people in the world who can't access it. Of course, this isn't the only time a toilet design has got people talking, here's a look at a few other unusual loos.
The Slanty
This toilet is designed to slope downwards slightly, making it uncomfortable to sit on for more than a few minutes. It was featured in the news in 2019 with its design splitting opinion. The designer behind the toilet says it is engineered to the user's "long-term health and wellbeing first".
The loo for two
It wasn't just what was happening on the slopes that got people talking about the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014.A picture of a double loo took some of the lime light, with the phot of two toilets side-by-side in a cubicle causing a fair bit of confusion online.BBC reporter Steve Rosenberg who took the snap told Newsround at the time: "There's only one toilet roll holder on the wall - you'd expect two if they were planning to create two separate booths."
The fish-friendly flush
Goldfish don't usually go together with toilets for the best reasons, but one company tried to change that when they invented the Fish 'n' Flush toilet.Although it looks like the fish are in the cistern they are actually in a separate tank divided by a special plastic.
A loo with a view
This toilet at the Shard is around 300 metres above London on the 68th floor of the £2 billion development. So not one to go to if you're scared of heights!
The toilet you weren't egg-specting
These egg-shaped pods are actually toilet cubicles in a restaurant in London. The futuristic design is borrowed from flotation tanks.Eerie music and futuristic sounds apparently play inside the pods, which also feature colour-changing LED lighting.

Coronation Street's Colson Smith lands first TV role after being axed as Craig Tinker
CORONATION Street's Colson Smith has landed his first TV role since bowing out as Craig Tinker. Viewers were heartbroken when beloved police officer Craig was killed off in brutal scenes. 6 6 6 Taking to his Instagram story, Colson teased when fans can next see him on-screen. The 26-year-old revealed he's filmed an episode of Celebrity Mastermind. Colson posted a snap of himself sitting in the BBC show's famous black chair -- with the caption "Find out in December". The actor obscured his specialist subject and asked followers to guess what it could be. When Hannah Montana emerged as an answer, Colson confirmed he "wasn't allowed" to pick the popular Disney show. Colson played Craig Tinker from 2011 until his final scenes which aired in May 2025. As part of the dramatic exit, Craig was attacked with a baseball bat by drunk villain Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton). Rushed to hospital, the young police officer later passed away from the injuries. In January, Colson first revealed he would be waving goodbye to the cobbles later in the year. Coronation Street favourite left for dead in brutal attack after actor is axed from soap He penned on Instagram at the time: "Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinker's time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025. "I've loved every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world. "I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and around Coronation Street. "I've learned pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home. "I'm excited to play out the exit story for our Craigy. For me, this is the end of the beginning. Darkest soap storylines Over the years the likes of EastEnders, Emmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock... EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) - Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca's adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police. Emmerdale: Holly's drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) - In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale's first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose. Hollyoaks: Luke's rape (2000) - Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap's first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs - who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance. Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) - Just a mere mention of 'Richard Hillman' is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it's not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn't. "I genuinely can't wait to see what chapter two has in store for me." Away from the soap, Colson also took part in Celebrity Big Brother during its first series on ITV. He placed third overall, behind winner David Potts and runner-up Nikita Kuzmin. A year later, his Corrie co-star and On The Sofa podcast co-host, Jack P. Shepherd, went on to win the series. 6 6 6
