Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could get a massive camera upgrade

GSM Arena21 hours ago
Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra is supposedly coming in January, and according to a new rumor from China today, it might bring with it a massive camera upgrade.
Namely, the main sensor is said to be Sony's upcoming 1/1.1" type with 200 MP resolution, the Japanese company's first with so many pixels.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra uses the Samsung ISOCELL HP2, which has 200 MP resolution too, but is smaller at 1/1.3". The bigger size of the Sony sensor will let in more light, which should result in much-improved shots.
The only asterisk here is that there's a chance Samsung will push the use of this Sony sensor to the Galaxy S27 Ultra in 2027. Hopefully the S26 Ultra will see it, but it doesn't seem to be a given according to the source of this rumor. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

iPhone 17 colorways leak too

Vlad, 11 July 2025 Yesterday the upcoming iPhone 17 Air's colorways leaked, and today it's time for the 'vanilla' iPhone 17 to get the same treatment. And while it will be offered in more colors than its thinner cousin, unfortunately this leak doesn't come with full-on renders depicting each hue. We do however have what seem to be replacement camera rings for it, which showcase the five colors in which the iPhone 17 will allegedly arrive: blue, silver, black, green, and purple. The transparent ring isn't meant for a transparent iPhone 17, that's not happening, it's just another option for those who'd like the transparent look on their device. While these are said to be the iPhone 17's launch colors, it's possible that Apple may release an additional one or two down the line. For comparison, note that the iPhone 16 comes in black, white, pink, teal, and "Ultramarine". So it's still five colorways, just different ones (aside from black). The iPhone 17 will be by far the lowest-end of the four models launching in September, with the A19 non-Pro chip, and possibly stuck at 8GB of RAM like its predecessor despite all three other models coming with the A19 Pro and 12GB of RAM. It will however have one more camera compared to the iPhone 17 Air, and a bigger battery. Apple iPhone 16 128GB 8GB RAM € 779.00 € 779.00 256GB 8GB RAM € 923.00 Source (in Korean)
