Kelly Khumalo Opens Spiritual Consultations Now
Award-winning singer Kelly Khumalo is now officially open for spiritual consultations. Embracing her calling as a traditional healer, she's sharing her journey while continuing to balance music, motherhood, and public scrutiny over the Senzo Meyiwa case.
Singer and reality star Kelly Khumalo has stepped into a sacred and deeply personal role, embracing her spiritual calling as a traditional healer.
Now known spiritually as Empress Felizwe, she recently announced via social media that she is officially accepting spiritual consultations, complete with a form detailing the types of consultations she offers.
A new chapter begins: Empress Felizwe in full bloom
'This is one hard journey with no map or destination,' she wrote in a heartfelt post. 'All you can do is trust in God and your angels or guides to help you navigate.' With this message, she welcomed all those 'called to grow spiritually' into her spiritual home.
Her services include healing, cleansing, bloodline healing, and helping others connect to their higher power. The singer made it clear that while she may not have all the answers, she believes strongly that 'God trusts me with this'.
Spiritual Warnings: 'Watch who you surround yourself with'
In addition to opening bookings, Kelly offered some cautionary spiritual advice. In a recent video post, she discussed energy siphoning and destiny swapping, warning followers about the dangers of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
'Destiny swapping and energy siphoning has become big in spiritual spaces these days,' she said. 'Watch where you go and who you surround yourself with, especially if you're not spiritually aligned.'
She further urged her followers to be mindful of social interactions, stating, 'Not every invitation is a celebration-worthy one. You can take a rain check.'
Music, motherhood and Meyiwa: Kelly's balancing act
Despite her new spiritual path, Kelly is still highly active in the entertainment world. She recently released a track titled Ngeke with kwaito legend Arthur Mafokate and continues to headline shows across the country.
Kelly has also given fans a look into her personal life through her reality series Life with Kelly, which delves into her spiritual evolution, motherhood, and her sometimes complicated relationships.
Her children, Christian, fathered by Uyajola 99 host Molemo 'Jub Jub' Maarohanye, Thingo, fathered by the late soccer star Senzo Meyiwa, and Luna, whose father has not been publicly confirmed, are often featured in her online content.
While speculation suggests Luna's father may be a prominent footballer, Kelly has kept mum on the subject.o

While Kelly's spiritual and musical life thrives, the long-running murder trial of Meyiwa, the late Bafana Bafana goalkeeper and her former partner, continues to cast a shadow over her public image.
Senzo was tragically shot in 2014 at Kelly's family home in Vosloorus. Five men stand accused of the crime, believed to be a hit. After several delays, the trial resumed this week following a two-month pause.
Advocate Charles Mnisi, representing one of the accused, recently requested yet another postponement in April.
The singer has consistently denied any involvement and has not been charged, but public opinion remains divided.
Their daughter Thingo has reportedly inherited her father's natural flair for football.

Even amid chaos, Kelly continues to lean into her voice, both spiritually and musically. She's shared videos of herself singing traditional hymns and spiritual songs alongside gospel powerhouse Winnie Mashaba, and a touching kitchen duet with her mother showcased how music runs deep in her bloodline.
Kelly Khumalo may not be walking a path many understand, but she's forging ahead with grit, faith, and purpose.

Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae announces new album with catchy lead single ‘S. M. O. '
Amaarae has announced the release date for her highly anticipated third album, 'Black Star'. Image: Instagram. Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae is quite literally the star of her country's flag on the album art as she announces her upcoming album 'Black Star', which is set to drop on August 8. The new album comes after her 2023 chart-topping sophomore album 'Fountain Baby'. The 30-year-old artist marked her return with a lead single titled 'S.M.O.', setting the tone for what's still to come. Known for her genre-bending fusion of her signature alternative afrobeats sound, she has already given fans a glimpse into the upcoming 13-track album with 'S.M.O.', which is a blend of upbeat afro and techno instruments. The track delves into themes of sexual liberation and empowerment, which is a no-brainer for Amaarae as an artist who usually expresses her sexual being through her music. Video Player is loading. The song takes inspiration from Ghanaian 80s highlife trailblazer Ata Kak and blends it with a mean Detroit club bass, a drum roll akin to both Magic System's '1er Gaou' and Michael Jackson's 'Rock With You'. 'I don't know how much clearer one can get when they ask you to 'SLUT ME OUT'. The message can't be mistaken, and the beat makes you move. That's all I want to do this summer, make people dance and feel things!,' she said in a statement. In an interview with 'Rolling Stone', the 'Co-Star' singer revealed that she is driven to create a globally impactful album with 'Black Star', aiming for both commercial and critical success, and will not rest until she achieves it. According to the article, 'Black Star' marks an insightful exploration of the artist's dual identity as a woman and creator, with the title and album art cleverly referencing her own persona, the Ghanaian flag and the rich Black cultural heritage that she blends in her music style. Ghanaian singer Amaarae stuns for the 'Black Star' album art. Image: X In April, she made history as the first solo female Ghanaian artist to grace the Coachella stage. Additionally, she secured a tour spot with Sabrina Carpenter, which would make one wonder what the two artists have in common since their sounds are completely different. Interestingly, Carpenter revealed that she and her friends listen to Amaarae. The 'S.M.O.' singer draws parallels between herself and Carpenter, citing that their forms of expression are not so different. 'She's a freak just like me; it's just a different kind of expression. Hers is bright and colourful; mine is dark and edgy. But we're both saying the same thing: we're sexual beings, and we are women who feel free and confident in that,' she told 'Rolling Stone'.
