Arnold Schwarzenegger's ex Maria Shriver seen with rumored love interest a decade after they were first linked
stepped out with close friend and rumored love interest Matthew Dowd this week - 12 years after they were first romantically linked. The 69-year-old journalist and ex-wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger cut a casual figure as she strolled with the political consultant and pundit, 64, in Los Angeles. Shriver, who in June claimed she had been single 'for her whole 60s', looked close with former ABC News analyst Dowd as they walked, while clad in a white tee and leggings. Dowd served as a top political strategist for George W. Bush - on both his 2000 and his 2004 campaign and as part of his inner circle - until he publicly split with the president in 2006 over the Iraq war. He also worked for Shriver's former Governor of California husband Schwarzenegger - taking a job on the Terminator star's gubernatorial reelection campaign. Shriver - the niece of Robert F. Kennedy and President John F. Kennedy - was married to Schwarzenegger for 25 years until it was revealed in 2011 that he had an affair with his maid and had fathered a child - Joseph Baena - with her. She and Schwarzenegger have four children together. Dowd has been married and divorced twice; his second marriage fell apart after one of his twin infant daughters died in the hospital, according to a 2007 profile piece in the Los Angeles Times. He has two grown sons with his first wife and a daughter Josephine with his second wife. Despite being linked for more than a decade, Shriver has never publicly confirmed any new relationship with Dowd. They attended her cousin Bobby Kennedy Jr.'s wedding together in August 2014. In June she reflected on being single in a candid chat on Today with Jenna & Friends, saying: 'Your 60s are fantastic, and I was single in my 60s. I have been single my whole 60s. And now I'm ending my 60s. I loved being single, but other people had a big problem with it.' Adding she was 'happily single' she said: 'I think other people are like, "You don't have a boyfriend yet? What do you think that's about?" or "What's wrong? What do you think you're doing? Are you not open?' 'I also think people want you to be happy and they want you to have love and they want you to be in a couple. The pair were seen looking cozy on an outing back in 2016 'I'm interested in any great love a yes. I'm kind of trying to be open and yes to life in all its forms. How about that? I just made that all up. 'I think if a great man comes along, that's great, at any age, by the way.' That same month she told the Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast that she was 'open' to a new romance. She said: 'I'm a frustrated matchmaker myself, and I'm a big believer in relationships and love. I've just kind of gotten to the place now where I'm thinking, I don't know, maybe, but my life is really full. I'm not looking, but I'm open to whatever God sends my way. 'My kids have kidded around going, 'We should make you a dating app [profile]. 'No, I'm good. I'm finally good on my own, and that's taken a tremendous amount. I have a beautiful life that I'm deeply grateful for, and that feels really good and really full and full of love.'

Odell Beckham Jr responds to rumors he's retiring from the NFL
Odell Beckham Jr. has responded to rumors that he's retiring from the NFL - as the Super Bowl winner emphatically denied he was hanging up his cleats. The three-time Pro Bowler had an incredibly quiet 2024 season as he was limited by a knee injury, playing in just nine games and tallying only 55 receiving yards for the Dolphins. And it was claimed on Tuesday that the former Giants, Browns, Rams and Ravens star was calling it a career, with a fake Adam Schefter account appearing to break the news on social media. The post quickly spread across X before the wideout poured cold water on the rumor. 'Not done yet… thanks for [your] concerns and have a blessed day,' he wrote. Under the initial post, Beckham also wrote: 'LOL WTF… when was that announced and by who? That's funny , appreciate the concerns but this Shxt ain't over yet.' And he added in a separate post: 'No seriously. Plz stop reading everything on the internet, and stop texting me happy retirement b4 u p*** me off [crying emojis]. That will get no response. I promise u the day I'm done I will let u kno. Again if u text me happy retirement im just gon have to block u [crying emojis]. Thanks.' Beckham is currently a free agent after the Dolphins cut him in December. He missed the first four games of last season with a knee injury before returning to play in Weeks 5-14 (excluding Week 6). Beckham hasn't really looked like himself since tearing his left ACL in 2020 while playing for the Browns. He later injured the same knee in Super Bowl LVI (in early 2022) while playing for the Rams, causing him to miss the entirety of the following season. However, it's unclear how well his knee healed following his Browns injury; he said in 2023 that he didn't actually have an ACL upon joining the Rams two years prior, which is what LA team doctor Neal ElAttrache told him. Nonetheless, he caught seven touchdowns for the Rams (including playoffs) during their title run before having a serviceable 2023 in Baltimore. The 2014 first-round pick electrified the league with his athleticism earlier in his career, and his one-handed catch against the Cowboys while playing for the Giants remains a hugely memorable play. He spent five seasons in New York before being traded to Cleveland in 2019.

Jeff Bezos ‘obsessed' with making wife Lauren Sanchez next Bond girl
Jeff Bezos is 'obsessed' with casting his wife Lauren Sanchez in the latest Bond film, Hollywood insiders have claimed. The Amazon founder is reportedly pushing the makers of Bond 26 to consider Sanchez, a journalist, trained pilot, and one-time astronaut, for a role as the latest Bond girl. Since Ursula Andress first hit screens as the original Bond girl in 1961 playing Honey Ryder in Dr No, the role of the fictional spy's love interest has become a coveted one. The role, which has become almost as iconic as that of Mr Bond himself, has been played by the likes of Eva Green, Honor Blackman, Halle Berry and Jane Seymour. 'This isn't just fantasy casting - Jeff wants her on screen, period,' a Hollywood source told Rob Shuter, a British gossip blogger and former executive editor of OK! magazine's US edition. The insider added that the billionaire is 'obsessed' with finding a role for his wife, 55, in the new film, which is slated for release next year or early 2027. Despite fervent speculation, it's still not clear who will replace Daniel Craig as 007 in the film. The actor bowed out of the franchise after starring in No Time To Die in 2021. The films director was announced as Denis Villeneuve, the French-Canadian filmmaker behind the Dune franchise, in July. Bezos, the third-wealthiest person in the world, took over the franchise when he acquired MGM as part of a takeover of MGM studios by Amazon in 2022. The original producing founders of the Bond franchise, the Broccoli family, controlled the franchise since the first 007 film, Dr No, in 1962. Cubby Broccoli and Harry Saltzman bought the rights to Ian Fleming's spy novels in 1961 and set up the British studio Eon Productions, in London. Bezos's takeover sparked concern the beloved British spy and his adventures would become 'commercialised', with author William Boyd warning fans they would soon see '007 theme parks'. 'Certainly wait for Bond aftershave – and for the theme park and the dinner jackets,' he told The Observer. 'The new owners will have to commodify everything about their billion-dollar purchase, so there will be nightclubs and vodkas.' Shortly after acquiring the Bond franchise, Bezos tweeted: 'Who'd you pick as the next Bond?' prompting a flurry of posts from concerned fans who begged him: 'Please don't ruin this franchise'. Others urged the 61-year-old to be true to Mr Bond's roots and keep him a Brit. According to Mr Shuster's Substack, the Amazon mogul can 'do what he wants' with the films, after handing over a rumoured $8.5m (£6.3m). While Sanchez is not well known for her acting, she has featured in a number of films. Sanchez played a television journalist in Fight Club, and made minor appearances in The Day After Tomorrow, Fantastic Four, and White House Down.
