Aneet Padda Once Shared A Bizarre School Incident: 'Shaved My Eyebrows, Plucked My Eyelashes'
Saiyaara's Vaani, aka Aneet Padda, gained fame overnight following the film's success. The actor, previously seen in Prime Video's Big Girls Don't Cry, is tasting newfound success. Just eight days into its theatrical run, Mohit Suri's Saiyaara has turned out to be a box office sensation. Amid the film's soaring popularity, an old interview of Aneet has resurfaced, in which she spoke about how she once shaved both her eyebrows during her school days.
Recorded during the promotions of Big Girls Don't Cry in 2024, Aneet Padda candidly recounted a bizarre and hilarious school experience – one that caught her mother off guard and now has the internet in splits.
In the viral snippet from her chat with Mid-Day, Aneet shared, 'I don't know if it's a school memory exactly, but I remember this one time we had our annual theatre going on. And for some weird reason, when I came back home and had to remove all of my makeup, I decided to also shave both of my eyebrows and pluck like eight of my eyelashes. Then my mother comes home and she's like, 'Beta, what am I going to do with you? You have to go to school tomorrow.' And I'm like, 'I don't know, maybe it's trendy.' And ten years later, people are actually shaving their eyebrows now, so maybe I was onto something back then."
Meanwhile, Saiyaara broke records by earning Rs 21.25 crore on Day 1. The film has outperformed the first day collections of Murder 2 (Rs 6.95 crore), Aashiqui 2 (Rs 6.10 crore), and Half Girlfriend (Rs 10.30 crore). The film has also surpassed the the collections of Ek Villain (2014), which collected Rs 16 crore on its opening day, by becoming Mohit Suri's biggest opener ever. From 2225 screens in week one, Saiyaara is now running in packed 3650 screens and is set to have another record-breaking second week. The film earned Rs 190 crore at the box office in eight days, surpassing the records set by Bollywood A-listers' releases this year.
While Saiyaara marks Ahaan Panday's first-ever tryst with acting, Aneet Padda already had a foot in the door with ad films and projects like Big Girls Don't Cry and Revathy's Salaam Venky, where she acted alongside Kajol and Aamir Khan.

The 300-Crore Saiyaara Phenomenon And Why No Hindi Film Could Beat It: What Trade Experts Say
New Delhi: Released on July 18, 2025, Mohit Suri's Saiyaara, led by debutant Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has turned out to be a massive pop-culture moment amongst the Gen-Z crowd. The film has steadily gone up the ladder with a blockbuster opening at the box office, and the huge numbers raking in ever since then. The film is soon going to clock 3 weeks of release on August 8, 2025. The film entered the 300 crore club on Monday, August 4, giving tough competition to films led by big stars such as Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2. It has also impacted Dharma Productions' Dhadak 2, led by Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Trade Expert Taran Adarsh talks to NDTV to give an insight into what makes Saiyaara a celebration with its 300 crore milestone. He also sheds light on the scope of it, continuing its glorious run. On The 300-Crore Box-Office Record Taran Adarsh tells NDTV that he has always believed how the box office is unpredictable and how that's the beauty of it all. He says, " Saiyaara has rewritten all records. And of course, if you look at the collection, it is the biggest opener, biggest grosser for a film starring newcomers. It's crossed the 300 crore mark, which is a first for a film starring new faces. Sharing the limelight with such biggies is unimaginable. Before the release, I'm sure a lot of people did not think this movie would work. But then the box office speaks for itself." Scene from Saiyaara So is Saiyaara now aiming to soon hit the 500 crore mark? Taran Adarsh adds, "No, I think this is the maximum. But then this is also a huge achievement for a film with newcomers." Saiyaara Vs Big Releases One of the biggest releases of July was Son of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur in the lead. With the tremendous response to Saiyaara, the makers pushed the film's release to August 1, 2025. Scene from Son of Sardaar 2 On the other hand, Dhadak 2 stood firm on its initial release date, which was always August 1, 2025, despite a clash with Son of Sardaar 2 and Saiyaara's success. Scene from Dhadak 2 Taran Adarsh reacts to the impact that Saiyaara had on such important releases. He says, "On the contrary, Saiyaara has also now been impacted slightly by Mahavatar Narsimha (the film collected Rs 8 crore on Monday, August 4). The latter is also rocking the box office. So I guess we will have to see. But again, the point is, irrespective of what kind of impact Saiyaara might have had on these films, on its own, it is an epic blockbuster." Scene from Mahavatar Narsimha On Saiyaara's International Business Saiyaara is not just making waves in India, as Taran Adarsh reiterates. He says how it has found a large audience overseas too and is earning fantastic figures. He says, "It has worked across the globe, not just in India. That shows the potential of the film, and it's a huge blockbuster." Speaking of any other love stories that had such a huge impact on the audience before this and did well Internationally as well, Taran Adarsh recalls, "Those were different times. But, I do remember when Bobby (1973) led by Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia had released, that kind of craze we witnessed during Bobby; it was unprecedented, and somewhere I saw it for Saiyaara. The best thing is they are fresh faces, so it's easier to relate, and they are also brilliant actors." War 2 Incoming The biggest Bollywood release in August is undoubtedly Ayan Mukerji's War 2, led by Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani. Interestingly, it is also bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, the same as Saiyaara. Scene from War 2 Taran Adarsh shares how War 2 will take over Saiyaara, " War 2 will be massive, but Saiyaara will still be running with limited screens. War 2 will have at least 60-65 crore first day opening. Also, it's releasing on August 14, which is a Thursday, and then there's Independence Day. Imagine the business." Saiyaara emerged as the second-highest-grossing film of the year after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. At the global box office, it has already crossed the Rs 450 crore mark. Despite Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2 now running in cinemas, and Mahavatar Narsimha also emerging as a solid frontrunner, Saiyaara continues to hold its ground.

Blake Lively Accuses Justin Baldoni's Team Of Leaking Her Deposition As Part Of PR Stunt
Blake Lively claims Justin Baldoni's lawyers deliberately leaked her deposition transcript to tabloid media in a desperate move to intensify a smear campaign against the actress. The ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni reached a new height after the actress's attorneys filed a letter in the federal court, accusing Baldoni's lawyers of 'public relations work" in hurrying to upload the 292-page draft transcript of Lively's deposition to the public docket 'on the day they received it". Lively's legal team claimed there was no 'conceivable legal purpose" for Baldoni's lawyers to file the draft transcript of Lively's deposition in its entirety as the document had 'not been reviewed, corrected or finalised". The Rhythm Section star's lawyers argued that Baldoni's attorneys deliberately leaked sensitive information from the deposition to the tabloid media to intensify a smear campaign against the actress. They said the 'tactic perfectly demonstrates the counsel-as-PR agent role…" In harsh language, Lively's attorneys condemned the move as 'fodder for the Wayfarer Defendants' media campaign." They ordered a federal judge to immediately seal the deposition transcript. According to People, this reaction from Lively's attorneys is in accordance with the plan Baldoni's team has hatched. As the 37-year-old now fights to remove her deposition transcript from the public docket, Baldoni's team just might argue Blake Lively is trying to conceal information that could be used against the actress. The deposition in question took place on July 31 at the Manhattan office of one of Lively's attorneys. As Deadline reports, Justin Baldoni had attended the deposition in person. While the entire session was meant to be a private affair, Lively's lawyers were astonished that several reports about the meeting, including what Lively chose to wear that day flooded the internet in a heartbeat. Blake Lively had initially accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us. The 37-year-old actress complained that Baldoni violated her boundary and deliberately kissed her for too long during the filming of intimate scenes. Per a report by the TMZ, Lively later discovered to her shock that Baldoni also fat-shamed the actress. The Five Feet Apart actor branded the reports as false sexual harassment complaints. Alleging defamation and invasion of privacy, Justin Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist in January this year.
