Women's Asian Cup qualifiers moved from Jordan to Qatar amid Israel-Iran conflict
Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, Singapore, and Bhutan comprise the group, with matches initially due to take place in Amman the capital of Jordan between June 23 and July 5.

The Football Association of Singapore said in a statement on Thursday that its matches would no longer take place in Jordan due to the 'ongoing situation in the region and logistical concerns raised by several Participating Member Associations (PMAs) as reasons for the change.'
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) confirmed on Friday that matches would instead be taking place in Qatar between July 7 and July 19, with the draw for the final tournament set to take place on July 29. The AFC said further details on the venues and match timings for the Group A qualifiers will be announced 'in due course'.
Jordan is a neighbouring country of Israel, with Amman approximately 110km east of Tel Aviv, and is separated from Iran by Iraq.
On June 13, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Iran and the countries have since been exchanging missile attacks.

Singapore captain Rosnani Azman said, via the Singapore team website: 'Of course we were looking forward to competing, but safety comes first. As a team, we've always believed in adapting and staying ready. We'll keep training hard and supporting one another, and make sure we're ready when the time comes.'
The Women's Asian Cup, hosted in Australia, takes place from March 1 to March 21 2026, with Sydney, Perth and the Gold Coast its host cities.
China beat South Korea 3-2 in the 2022 Asian Women's Cup final to claim a record-extending ninth title in Navi Mumbai. They, along with Australia, South Korea and Japan, have automatically qualified for next year's main tournament.

An Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl rubber match certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility. Who's feeling overwhelmed (in a good way)? Training camp has wrapped up, and there's so much information and theory to absorb that it's hard to keep up. The Philadelphia Eagles' first two preseason games didn't provide enough of a preview. It's difficult to resist the urge to look ahead to the Week 1 regular-season opener. There's a consuming thought that says 'Bring on the Dallas Cowboys.' While that's natural and healthy, the initial 53-man roster hasn't been introduced yet. Maybe it's time to 'woosah' or something, stick to the one-step-at-a-time approach. A healthy balance is possible. We can enjoy the journey and make educated guesses about who might represent the NFC and the AFC in the coming Super Bowl. After all, it isn't like we're the only ones having that conversation. How likely is an Eagles vs. Chiefs Super Bowl rubber match? Without any real effort, something Patrick Mahomes suggested in the days leading up to the most recent Super Bowl stuck with us. It didn't gain any headlines or traction, but that didn't make it any less impactful. It was something to the effect of "I think Jalen (Hurts) and I are going to play in a lot of these..." Two of the last three Super Bowls have featured the Eagles and Chiefs. Both sides have won over the other. Barring something catastrophic, there's no reason to believe the two sides can't meet on the big stage again. We've heard theories from some of this industry's top voices. They say the Chiefs' run is over. Just recently, the host of a well-known morning sports show said, in no uncertain terms, that Andy Reid and company's stranglehold over the AFC will end this season. Other outlets have said the same thing. So have podcasts and radio hosts. They see a changing of the guard, but let's examine some of the heavyweights. Sure, the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are fully capable of winning the American Football Conference. We'd be remiss if we didn't say that Kansas City is fully capable of also beating them. That brings us to the other competing teams: the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Houston Texans, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Los Angeles Chargers. Let's be honest. Do you put any real stock in any of those teams hoisting the Lombardi Trophy this season? Does anyone believe they're willing to wager any of those teams will dethrone the defending AFC Champions? We didn't think so. Again, the Chiefs must be mentioned in the conversation. Meanwhile, in the NFC, Philadelphia's biggest obstacles to winning the George Halas Trophy again are the Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers. It's hard to find genuine fear in anyone competing in the NFC South. Then again, the Eagles have had their issues historically with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Todd Bowles has found some success in limiting Jalen Hurts. Still, when the smoke clears and the dust settles, we'd place wagers on a fully healthy Eagles team over Bowles' Buccaneers in January. We'd also be willing to bet that, while the Lions, 49ers, Rams, Vikings, and Packers make worthy opponents, a fully healthy Eagles squad has the stuff to soar past them. Again, these are all conversations that can be revisited at a later date. As mentioned earlier, the Eagles still haven't introduced its 53-man roster yet. It still must be stated that rumors of Philadelphia and Kansas City's rapid declines have been overstated. A Super Bowl rubber match is undoubtedly possible. Oh, and by the way, we have the Eagles winning that game convincingly again.
