It is understood the water quality has deteriorated due to heavy rainfall.
Fingal County Council said in a statement: "Claremont Beach and Front Strand Beach will remain open, but beach users are asked to respect the 'Do Not Swim' notice as it has been put in place to ensure that the health of bathers is not compromised.
"Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at

'These Bye-Laws are in draft format and are out on display. Once that display period is over the Council will review and consider all submissions on the Draft Bye-Laws before bringing the final draft bye-laws to Area Committee and full Council for approval by the Fingal Councillors.
'Fingal County Council currently has the lowest parking charges across all of Dublin, and these proposals would bring it into line with other local authorities.'
