Washington - Saba:
An incident involving the storming of an event organized by the Israeli embassy in Washington by an activist named Elias Rodriquez, of Latin American origin—resulting in the killing of two Israeli employees and injuring others—ignited social media platforms this Thursday.
According to Quds Press Agency, activists circulated video clips showing Rodriquez shouting at the moment of his arrest: "I did it for Gaza" and "Free Palestine," describing the incident as a "cry for justice against the crimes of the occupation."
Two employees of the Israeli embassy were killed in a shooting near an event at the Jewish Museum in Washington on Wednesday evening (local time).
Washington D.C. police stated that the shooter, identified as Elias Rodriquez, is a 30-year-old from Chicago, Illinois, and noted that his record shows no prior criminal history that would have placed him under law enforcement surveillance.

UK Parliament agrees to debate investigation into Government's Involvement in Gaza Genocide

London – SABA: The British Parliament on Wednesday approved the discussion of the 'Gaza Bill,' which seeks to open an investigation into the British government's potential involvement in the genocide committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Former Labour Party leader and MP Jeremy Corbyn submitted the bill today, according to the 'Sanad' news agency. Corbyn stated in media remarks: 'Today I am presenting a bill to investigate Britain's involvement in Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip.' He added: 'MPs must decide whether they will support an investigation into Britain's role in genocide, or whether they will obstruct it.' UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer had earlier indicated that Britain is working with what he described as 'allies' to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. In press statements on Wednesday, Starmer said, 'The situation in Gaza is horrific, and aid must be allowed in.' He expressed opposition to the Israeli assault on Gaza and the West Bank, stating: 'We oppose the Israeli military operation in Gaza and settler violence in the West Bank. What Israel is doing is intolerable.' With U.S. and European support, the Israeli occupation army has, since October 7, 2023, been committing acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 54,607 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and the injury of 125,341 others, according to non-final figures, as thousands remain trapped under rubble or in streets unreachable by rescue teams. Israeli Settlers set fire to Palestinian home east of Ramallah

Ramallah – SABA: Israeli settlers set fire on Wednesday evening to a Palestinian home and vehicles belonging to citizens in the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah. According to the official Palestinian news agency, dozens of settlers attacked homes in the town belonging to the Abu Kaid family and burned what is known as the 'Abu Shahada Farm' at the western entrance, along with several vehicles. The agency reported that settlers besieged Palestinian residents inside their homes and prevented youth, citizens, and emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire trucks, from reaching the area. They also pelted civilian vehicles with stones. It added that settlers from an outpost established on lands belonging to the towns of Deir Dibwan and Burqa also attacked homes and property in the nearby village of Beitin, attempting to set fire to several houses. Thousands form human cordon around British Parliament to halt arms exports to Israel

London – Saba: More than 10,000 protesters formed a human cordon outside the British Parliament in London on Wednesday, in a majestic scene swathed in red to demand an end to arms exports to Israel. Thirty members of Parliament, led by Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell, Ayub Khan, and Shawkat Adam, participated in part of the demonstration. The members responded to a call by major solidarity organizations in Britain, under the slogan "A red line for Palestine: Arms embargo and sanctions now," according to the Arabs in Britain website. This massive protest was called for by the Palestinian Forum in Britain, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the Stop the War Coalition, Friends of al-Aqsa, the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and the Muslim Association of Britain. The organizers called on participants to wear red and form a human cordon around the Parliament building, a symbolic message expressing the British government's crossing of a red line by remaining silent on the crimes of the Israeli enemy. During the protest, slogans and banners were raised calling on the British government to take a firm stance, at a time when Gaza is recording alarming numbers of casualties. More than 54,000 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the aggression in October 2023, including more than 15,000 children, according to the organizers. The participants in the demonstration called for a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel, immediate sanctions against the Israeli government for war crimes and genocide, the resumption of UK support for UNRWA, support for ongoing investigations at the International Criminal Court, and a call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. In speeches delivered by a number of activists and religious and community figures, the speakers described the silence at this historic time as a "moral betrayal," emphasizing that the British Parliament can no longer shirk its political and humanitarian responsibility toward the tragedy in Gaza. The demonstration was marked by a large turnout and a striking visual spectacle. Participants lined up in red, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans demanding justice and an end to the genocide. This scene embodied the unity of the popular stance and the clarity of the message: "Enough with the silence." The demonstration coincided with statements by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who acknowledged that "the situation in Gaza is getting worse by the day." However, these words have not yet been accompanied by any practical steps, which the organizers considered a mere attempt to contain popular anger without actual policy change.
