Fans were taken by surprise when Travis' mom Donna had hinted just days earlier that Taylor might not attend the Kelce family Thanksgiving. During an appearance on the Today show, Donna, 72, mentioned that Taylor would likely not be joining the family due to her ongoing Eras Tour commitments. 'I don't think so. She's kind of busy right now,' Donna had said, referring to Taylor's jam-packed schedule as the tour nears its final show on Dec. 8. Donna also joked that the Kelces' Thanksgiving might revolve more around football than a traditional dinner.
However, the celebration unfolded as a festive, family-oriented affair, surprising fans and showing a more intimate side of Taylor and Travis' relationship. This marks the first Thanksgiving the couple has spent together, as Taylor was in South America during Thanksgiving weekend in 2023, performing for her Eras Tour.
