Express Tribune02-12-2024

Pop sensation Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce celebrated Thanksgiving together in Nashville, Tennessee, marking a special milestone in their relationship. The 34-year-old singer and the 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end hosted a festive family gathering, bringing both of their families together to celebrate the holiday.
A source close to the couple exclusively confirmed to PEOPLE that Taylor and her family, including her parents Scott and Andrea, invited Travis' family for a cozy Thanksgiving dinner. "Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year," the insider shared.
After the Thanksgiving festivities, Taylor joined Travis' mother Donna in Kansas City to cheer on the Chiefs during their victory against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday, Nov. 29. The pair arrived at Arrowhead Stadium, supporting Travis as he prepped for the important game.
Despite the public nature of their relationship, Taylor and Travis tend to keep their personal lives relatively private. Fans were taken by surprise when Travis' mom Donna had hinted just days earlier that Taylor might not attend the Kelce family Thanksgiving. During an appearance on the Today show, Donna, 72, mentioned that Taylor would likely not be joining the family due to her ongoing Eras Tour commitments. 'I don't think so. She's kind of busy right now,' Donna had said, referring to Taylor's jam-packed schedule as the tour nears its final show on Dec. 8. Donna also joked that the Kelces' Thanksgiving might revolve more around football than a traditional dinner.
However, the celebration unfolded as a festive, family-oriented affair, surprising fans and showing a more intimate side of Taylor and Travis' relationship. This marks the first Thanksgiving the couple has spent together, as Taylor was in South America during Thanksgiving weekend in 2023, performing for her Eras Tour.
Fans of the couple may have been particularly interested in Travis' recent comments about his relationship with Taylor. On the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason, Travis expressed his happiness, subtly confirming that things were going well between him and Taylor. 'We're both very happy in our relationships,' Travis shared in a November episode of the podcast.
This Thanksgiving, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's bond appeared stronger than ever, with both stars blending their worlds of music and football for a family-focused holiday celebration.

Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, and Taylor Swift top Forbes' list of America's richest women celebrities in 2025

Forbes' latest list of America's Richest Women Celebrities showcases the financial powerhouses in the entertainment industry. Despite a cooling economy, several women continue to accumulate impressive wealth through business ventures, music tours, and TV shows. With a net worth of $3.1 billion, Oprah Winfrey tops the list of the wealthiest women in the entertainment industry. Despite her talk show going off air over 15 years ago, Oprah continues to build her fortune through Netflix projects, real estate, and her investments. In second place with a net worth of $1.7 billion, Kim Kardashian has firmly established herself as a business mogul with her shapewear brand Skims and skincare line SKKN by Kim. The success of Skims and recent collaborations, including with Nike, continue to contribute to her growing wealth. Pop star Taylor Swift has seen a $300 million increase in her wealth, now standing at $1.6 billion, earning her the third spot on the list. Her Eras Tour grossed a record-breaking $2 billion, and she has found new ways to monetise her success, including movies, books, and album re-recordings. Following Swift, Rihanna's fortune $1 billion fortune place her at number 4, though it dropped by $400 million last year. Despite setbacks in her cosmetics business Fenty Beauty and lingerie line Savage X Fenty, Rihanna remains one of the wealthiest women in entertainment. With a net worth of $780 million, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter becomes the fifth wealthiest female celebrity in America as her fortune grew by 4% in the past year, thanks to the success of her Renaissance tour. She faces challenges in ticket sales for her Cowboy Carter tour but continues to be a dominant force in music. Other notable women on the list include Selena Gomez ($700 million) and Kylie Jenner ($670 million), whose cosmetic businesses have made them successful entrepreneurs. Despite market changes, these women are continuing to diversify their portfolios and build empires beyond their celebrity personas.

Seven years after kate spade's suicide, best friend elyce arons shares their story

Spade, known to close friends as 'Katy,' died by suicide on June 5, 2018. Arons met Spade when they were freshmen in college, and their friendship blossomed into a business partnership that helped build the iconic Kate Spade brand. The memoir offers a rare glimpse into their personal connection and Spade's private struggles, which Arons describes as 'a permanent ache.' In an excerpt published by PEOPLE, Arons recalls visiting Spade's Park Avenue apartment days after her death. The once bright and meticulously kept home was dark and chaotic. As Arons opened the closet door to retrieve clothes, a swarm of moths flew out. She instinctively yelled, thinking Spade might be playing one of their old pranks. The moment underscored the painful reality that her friend was truly gone. Their story began in 1981 at the University of Kansas and continued through the rise of their handbag business in the '90s, alongside Spade's husband, Andy, and partner Pamela Bell. The brand's success grew quickly, leading to CFDA honors and global expansion. Despite professional triumphs, Spade's private life became more complex. After launching a new brand, Frances Valentine, in 2016, she died two years later. Arons admits she's still processing the loss. 'Those who loved her continue to grapple with her loss, seeking peace with a decision that left lasting heartbreak,' she writes. Her message now is simple: cherish the people you love and never take their presence for granted. We Just Might Make It After All will be released June 17 and is available for preorder.
