Adani Group, Reliance in pact for fuel distribution
Adani Group
and
Reliance Industries
on Wednesday announced a partnership for distribution of fuel. While select outlets of the Adani Group's
Adani Total Gas
will offer Jio-bp's petrol and diesel, certain
Jio-bp
stations will install Adani Total's CNG dispensing units, as per the agreement.
This is the second major collaboration between the two industrial giants.
In March last year, Mukesh Ambani's
Reliance Industries
had acquired a 26% stake in Adani Power's Mahan Energen Ltd. for ₹50 crore, securing 500 MW of captive power from a 600 MW Madhya Pradesh plant under a 20-year agreement.
While Adani Total manages about 650 CNG stations, Jio-bp operates around 2,000 retail outlets. The partnership is expected to provide consumers access to
high-quality fuels
.
The arrangement will be applicable to both existing and future retail outlets operated by the two companies.

"It is our shared vision to provide a complete range of high-quality fuels at our outlets," Suresh P Manglani, the chief executive officer at Adani Total Gas, was quoted in a release as saying. "This partnership will enable us to leverage each other's infrastructure, thus enhancing customer experience and offerings," he said.

natural gas distribution
joint venture by Adani and TotalEnergies, is a leading gas distribution company in the country with a strong presence in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Faridabad, Khurja and several districts in Assam, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.
This allows Adani Total to reach 34 geographical areas, with another 19 areas covered through
Indian Oil
Adani Gas Pvt Ltd (IOAGPL), a 50:50 CGD joint venture between Indian Oil and the company.

According to an ET report, Jio's new base data plan (1.5 GB/day) now costs Rs 299, which is 17% more expensive than the discontinued Rs 249 plan. Airtel's comparable 1.5 GB/day plan is priced even higher at Rs 319. For now, Vodafone Idea continues to offer its Rs 299 plan with 1 GB/day, though the company did not respond to an email query regarding its future plans. BSNL rolls out instant cashback offer with ₹299 & above plans
NEW DELHI: State-controlled Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited ( BSNL ) has rolled out instant cashback on recharge of ₹299 or more using the BHIM UPI application, days after India's top private telcos Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel discontinued the entry-level ₹249 plan, which offered 1GB per day. 'Recharge for ₹299 or more using the BHIM payments app and get instant cashback of up to ₹30 in your linked bank account,' said BSNL on its website. Following the latest move, Jio's and Airtel's mobile subscribers will have to buy the pricier ₹299 plans, which provide 1.5GB per day with 28-day validity. Jio offers access to two over-the-top (OTT) applications – JioTV and JioAICloud – with its ₹299 plan, while Airtel offers a complementary subscription to Perplexity Pro AI worth ₹17,000 for 12 months. A Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)-led consortium that comprises homegrown gear maker Tejas Networks and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) are currently deploying 1 lakh sites for BSNL's commercial 4G foray. According to the latest annual report from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), BSNL's subscriber base increased from 94.75 million in FY24 to 98.74 million in FY25, growing at 4% year-on-year. During this period, its market share grew from 7.9% to 8.22%, compared to Jio's 40.66%, Airtel's 33.41%, and almost two times lower than third-ranked Vodafone Idea 's (Vi) 17.17% share.

Reliance Jio offers cheapest choice compared to other telecom operators: Report
Reliance Jio continues to be the most affordable option for mobile users compared to other telecom operators in India, according to a plan analysis report by BNP Paribas . The report highlighted that while all three major telecom operators, Jio, Airtel , and Vodafone Idea (Vi), have aligned their pricing for popular recharge plans, Jio still offers higher data benefits at the same price points. It stated, "Charges from all three operators for the 28-day plan will be INR299, with Jio still offering higher data limits versus competition. Among the available plans, the Rs 799 plan offering 1.5 GB of data per day for 84 days remains widely accessible. On the other hand, the Rs 249 plan is now only available at physical Jio Stores and cannot be availed online. The Rs 209 plan is available exclusively on the MyJio app. For voice-only users, Jio continues to offer the Rs 189 plan, which includes unlimited voice calls and SMS with a validity of 28 days, along with 2 GB of data. For data customers, the company has kept multiple options across different price points. These include, near Rs 200 price point: Rs 209 plan offering 1 GB per day for 22 days. Near Rs 300 price point: Rs 299 plan offering 1.5 GB per day for 28 days and near Rs 350 price point: Rs 349 plan offering 2 GB per day for 28 days. The analysis also pointed out that Jio customers enjoy a Rs 50 advantage per month when compared to similar plans from Airtel and Vi. For example, the 1.5 GB per day, 28-day plan is priced at Rs 299 for Jio, whereas Airtel and Vi charge Rs 349 for the same benefit, translating into a Rs 50 monthly saving for Jio customers. Similarly, for the 2 GB per day, 28-day plan, Jio charges Rs 349, while Airtel charges Rs 398 and Vi charges Rs 365. This reflects a monthly saving of Rs 49 compared to Airtel and Rs 16 compared to Vi. Overall, the report pointed out that Jio's pricing strategy is providing customers with better data value at lower costs making it as the cheapest operator among India's leading telecom players.
