Hugh Grant Appears To Nod Off While Courtside At Wimbledon

Game, set, nap.
It looks like Hugh Grant's love of tennis couldn't help him rally enough energy to stay awake during Wimbledon's men's singles quarterfinal match on Wednesday.
While the 'Heretic' actor was seen with his head slumped and his chin resting on his chest, his sunglasses made it hard to confirm if he was actually dozing off as he watched the tournament with his wife, Anna Eberstein, from the exclusive Royal Box.

The 'Notting Hill' actor was one of many A-listers spotted at Wimbledon this week.
Also seen courtside were newlyweds Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos, Oscar-winner Jodie Foster, royal couple Kate Middleton and husband Prince William, 'Spiderman' star Tom Holland, Kendall Jenner and actor-slash-foodie Stanley Tucci.
It was a shame that Grant looked like he couldn't keep his eyes open during the face-off between seven-time Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic and 23-year-old Italian hot shot Flavio Cobolli.
Djokovic bested Cobolli in four sets, advancing him to Friday's semi-final match against the Association of Tennis Professionals' top-ranked men's singles player, Jannik Sinner.
And online, people couldn't resist serving up a few jokes about Grant's snooze:

Ed Sheeran will need bodyguards until he dies

Ed Sheeran is convinced his family will need round-the-clock security protection until he dies. The pop star - who lives on a sprawling estate in Suffolk with his wife Cherry and their two children - has round-the-clock security protection in place and he's convinced they will need bodyguards "until I pass away" because of the "sinister" incidents that have taken place. During an appearance on Australia's 60 Minutes show, Ed explained: "It's things that people don't really even take into account. "Like kidnap threats and s*** like that. We've had attempted break-ins, things left on my car. It's way more sinister than just fans turning up and wanting selfies. "We have a level of security that probably won't change until I pass away. That's just our life now." Ed went on to confess he's also had some ugly rows with fans who have tried to take pictures while he's with his kids, Lyra, four, and Jupiter, three. He added: "I've had some real arguments before. I'm fine with taking pictures, but I just think it's weird with a four-year-old and a three-year-old ... "To be within the public sphere, you have to take it all, the good and the bad. But I think I would definitely want a more normal life for my kids ... "I want to still tour and have people come to the gigs and yes, I still want to make records and write songs every day. "But there's just a new set of challenges that I want to explore now, and that is having a family and being a dad." Ed previously revealed he stepped up security measures to protect his family after a "couple of weird things" have happened including an attempted break-in. During an appearance on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Ed explained: "I do think that there is a different kind of normal that is our business. I have like 24-hour security on my house. I have security with my kids. "I have security with me. I have security with my wife, just because there have been a couple of weird things over the years that have happened.' Just so you know there's lots of dangerous people out there. We've had like you know a break-in attempt. "In my industry, that's normal. That's kind of like an underlying thing that no one really talks about, but that is kind of a part of being in the public eye." Ed also revealed he rarely takes his children on outings in public because he's so concerned about them being photographed. He added: "I'm very, very private about my children's image ... I can't take them to zoos or parks or anything really without someone trying to film them. "There are times where the normal parts of life I kind of mourn for and wish I could push my kid on a swing in a public park and it not be weird, you know? ... "People go, well that's the trade-off. But my kids have not signed up to that."

Phil Collins explains why he's in hospital and debunks hospice claims

A representative for Phil Collins has assured fans that the 74-year-old music legend is not in hospice care, despite recent rumors. Instead, the former drummer and frontman of British rock band Genesis is currently in the hospital after undergoing knee surgery, his spokesperson confirmed to The Independent. Last week, unfounded rumors that the retired musician was on his deathbed went viral online. It's unclear what sparked them; however, they came months after the eight-time Grammy-winning artist revealed that he was 'very sick.' 'I keep thinking I should go downstairs to the studio and see what happens but I'm not hungry for it anymore,' Collins told Mojo magazine in February after his final concert with the group at London's O2 Arena. The concert was billed as the band's last ever together and saw Collins say goodbye to his fans. 'The thing is. I've been sick, I mean very sick,' he said. 'Phil wasn't in as great a shape as he used to be, but they did a great job,' founding Genesis member Peter Gabriel added. Though Gabriel didn't perform with the rock group, he explained: 'Me going was a rite of passage, really. I'd been part of the creation of Genesis, so I wanted to be there at the end.' Collins announced his retirement from live shows in 2022, after having previously said he can 'barely hold a drumstick' following a serious spinal injury in 2007. The injury damaged vertebrae in his upper neck and caused lasting nerve damage. 'I'm kind of physically challenged a bit, which is very frustrating because I'd love to be playing up there with my son,' he said in a September 2021 interview with BBC Breakfast. Collins' 24-year-old drummer son, Nic, filled in for his father during Genesis's final The Last Domino tour in 2021. Nic regularly drums for the band Better Strangers. Collins, who has been married three times, is also a father to four other children: actor Joely, 52; drummer Simon, 48; Emily in Paris star Lily, 36; and soccer player Mathew, 20. He was married to his first wife, Andrea Bertorelli, from 1975 to 1980, followed by his second marriage to Jill Tavelman from 1984 to 1996, and his third wife, Orianne Cevey, from 1999 to 2008. Liverpool 'to make formal offer' for Alexander Isak this week as £65.5m Luis Diaz transfer is agreed

Liverpool have agreed a deal that is expected to help fund a bid for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. The Reds have already bolstered their attack with the signing of Hugo Ekitike but remain interested in bringing Isak, who scored 23 Premier League goals last season, to the club this summer. Despite approaching Newcastle over signing of the Sweden international for around £120million, the reigning champions of England were quickly told that the striker was not for sale. However, the transfer saga took a stunning twist last week when Isak asked to leave Newcastle and was subsequently left out of the squad that travelled to Asia for the pre-season tour. Now, the Magpies are bracing themselves for a formal offer from Liverpool for Isak this week. According to reports, the Merseyside giants have been given the green light to launch a bid for the striker as Luis Diaz's exit is imminent. Liverpool have agreed to sell the Colombia international to Bayern Munich for a fee said to be in the region of £65.5m. The money from the sale is expected to fund a bid for Isak. While the message from the Newcastle hierarchy has been they want to keep their best players, if Liverpool's offer approaches £150m mark and Isak pushes to leave St James' Park then that stance could soften. Regardless of the outcome, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is well aware his side must strengthen after missing out on a number of key targets - including Ekitike. Speaking after the pre-season defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, he said: 'We're not deluded. We know we need to bring players in. 'We've known that for a long time. We did a lot of work (at the end of last season), we knew what we wanted. 'But it's been a challenging transfer window. Let's see what we can do.'
