Beauty Charms Are Taking Over — These Are Team R29's Favourites

All linked products are independently selected by our editors. If you purchase any of these products, we may earn a commission. Call it the Labubu-fication of beauty, but it seems like the most covetable bag charm might already be sitting at the bottom of your purse. Lip-balms-turned-keychains are everywhere right now — and show no signs of trending down. From clever add-ons that transform your favourite tube into an accessory to teeny-tiny charms made just for your go-to products, we're collectively living quite the charmed life these days. But it's not just about squeezy tubes. Logo keychains — including the 'bootleg' kind found on Amazon and Etsy — for brands like Bubble, Dior, and Glossier have become modern-day collectibles. Repping your favourite sports team or designer label? That's cute. But we'll take a plush Tatcha fob, thank you very much. With everyone from drugstore to prestige brands getting in on the beauty charm game, scroll on to see which ones R29 editors are adding to their handbags, keychains, belt loops, and beyond. Evereden Tinted Lip Oil, $37 "Not all chemicals are bad but with sensitive skin, I stick to clean formulates to avoid any surprises. Evereden's tinted lip oil is as close as it gets, formulated almost entirely without nasties (with the exception of a hint of peach fragrance and sorbic acid which gives the product a longer shelf life). It's also the perfect everyday lip product. It comes in two super wearable shades of pink and ruby red, making it the perfect everyday product." — Haymun, Contributor Bubble Tell All Lip Balm, $15 'This adorable pill-shaped balm is so cute I almost didn't want to use it. It lives on my work backpack, so whether I'm at the office or a coffee shop, I know I've got a balm on hand. I'm partial to the mint flavour — it's refreshing and cooling, especially on a hot day. Unlike some of the other lippies in this bunch, it's not tinted and doesn't have a glossy finish; it's just a lip balm — but a really good one.' — Karina Hoshikawa, Senior Writer ' Whenever I pull this balm out of my bag, people flock — and I think the dainty Dior charm has something to do with it. A friend of mine even attached hers to her car keys, and I'm obsessed. But it's not just about looks. The formula is packed with skin-strengthening peptides and moisturising ceramides, plus cherry oil for a glossy, non-sticky finish. My favourite shade is Black Cherry — a muted merlot that looks amazing with a darker lip liner. It's replaced my Rhode Peptide Lip Tint in Raspberry Jelly (which says a lot).' — Jacqueline Kilikita, Beauty Director Glossier Balm Dot Com Keychain, $33 ' I've never had Magnolia Bakery's famous banana pudding, but do I need to? This is the tastiest lip balm I own — I can't get enough. Dry lips? Don't know them (that's the magic of castor oil, beeswax, and lanolin). The keychain, complete with a bunch of bananas and a screw-on metal cap, makes it even better. It's cutesy, kitsch, and exactly the kind of fun my bag was missing.' — Jacqueline Kilikita, Beauty Director Fenty Beauty Smurfette Effect Gloss Bomb + Keychain, $44 "This gloss is giving major nostalgia in the cutest way. The formula is everything you'd expect from Fenty—juicy, non-sticky, and super flattering—but it's the Smurfette keychain charm that sealed the deal for me. It's playful, collectable, and perfect for tossing on your bag or keys so you're never without a little gloss (and a lot of cuteness)." — Sara Tan, Global Beauty Director tarte x Dunkin' Maracuja Juicy Shimmer Glass Lip Plump + Free Charm, $42 'I love Dunkin', and I love Tarte — so this collab felt like it was made just for me. (It wasn't.) Like the rest of TikTok, I count the Maracuja Lip Plump as one of my most-used lip products for its hydrating, glossy, and subtle plumping properties. This rosy mauve looks great on everyone — alone for a hint of tint or layered over liner for a lip combo moment. I didn't think the formula could be improved… and then they added a tiny golden Dunkin' cup charm. Now it's a collector's item. ' — Karina Hoshikawa, Senior Writer Cherriez Gone Bad Hydrating Lip Care Duo + Keychain, $58 'The key to a"blurred" makeup look is a soft, untextured lip with an airbrushed finish. Fenty's lip care duo preps your lips to achieve that look under almost any lippie — velvet and soft matte finishes are recommended. Plush Puddin' works overnight to soften lines and the vampy cherry-tinted lip oil keeps things glossy and hydrated all day long. I clip the lip oil together with my keys (the cherry keychain is too cute not to) so I'm never caught without it.' — Haymun Win, Contributor

31 Trending Amazon Products That Are Worth The Hype

Psst! I'm about to let you in on a little-known secret: Amazon's Movers & Shakers section is an absolute treasure trove of hidden gems. An EOS lip balm that smells like the fluffiest birthday cake with mounds of vanilla icing and colorful sprinkles. Reviewers rave over the drool-worthy scent, and it's super hydrating thanks to the shea butter and coconut oil. A travel-friendly bottle of Downy wrinkle release spray for when you don't feel like lugging the iron and ironing board out. All you have to do is spray, tug the fabric a few times, then smooth the wrinkles away with your hand. It's also perfect for refreshing blankets when you can't remember the last time you threw them in the wash. 😬 The NeeDoh Nice Cube, which went triple platinum on last year's stocking stuffing charts. It has a weighted yet super squishy design that's perfect for keeping fidgety hands busy — it'll slowly go back to its regular shape so you can resquish it again and again. A pair of retro-chic double-bar aviators so cute and versatile they might just become the first pair you don't lose after two weeks because you'll never let them out of your sight. Speaking of sight, reviewers say the polarized lenses do a terrific job at blocking out the sun and are super clear. Several also said these got them tons of compliments, so be prepared to share the Amazon link with strangers on the street. But I wouldn't blame you for gatekeeping them... A set of Lego flower pots that are honestly so adorable, I don't know how I'm going to finish writing this sentence with the tears welling up in my eyes. The best part? The flowers are interchangeable! Just kidding, the actual best part is that they can hold hands. ❤️ A 12-pack of Liquid Death Cereal Criminal, which tastes just like a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. Yes, you read that correctly — sparkling water that TASTES LIKE FRUITY PEBBLES!!! This is the kind of beverage innovation that gives me hope for the future. Reviewers say the flavor is shockingly accurate and will kick you right in the nostalgia. A box of Drizzilicious snacks — which are basically the tastiest tiny rice cakes you will ever eat. The S'mores and French Toast flavors are particularly popular, but I personally love the Cookies & Cream flavor since it's extra chocolatey. A three-pack of biker shorts that are buttery smooth, ultra comfy, and super helpful to have on-hand for sundress season (bye, bye thigh chafing!). The elastic waistband is meant to provide light compression while staying in place, so you won't have to awkwardly pull up your shorts throughout the day and hope no one is watching. Also, can we talk about the fact that you get three for under $20??? Like, is it secretly Prime Day?! And a pair of crossover flared leggings, which might have you checking your bank statement to make sure you didn't accidentally drop twice the money on these at Aerie. Reviewers are obsessed with the crossover waistband that provides extra comfort and a bit of shaping support, while the flowy flare design is giving a touch of Mamma Mia with a dash of Kendrick Lamar at the Super Bowl. E.l.f.'s hydrating Power Grip Primer that often gets compared to the Milk Hydro Grip, which is quite impressive considering its $10 price tag. Not only does it moisturize your skin with its hyaluronic acid, but the cooling gel-like texture is also specifically designed to grip your makeup and keep it in place. Peach Slices Acne Spot Dots, which are essentially little circles of hydrocolloid that can drain fluids from any open pimples and cover any that are already on the surface. Reviewers say they work wonders and are surprisingly discreet. You also get 30 for under $5, which is way cheaper than the also-popular Mighty Patch version. Good Molecules Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel that's basically like a latte for your face. It uses the power of yerba mate to soothe the delicate skin under your eyes, caffeine to help brighten, and three forms of hyaluronic acid to moisturize. I did not know there were several types of hyaluronic acid, but I would now like to collect all of them like Pokémon. A baby fidget cube made specifically for tiny hands. Each side has something to press, spin, or pull, so your little one will have plenty of ways to work on their hand-eye coordination. Imagine having this on a long plane ride or road trip — the definition of a lifesaver. A set of Kiss press-on nails that give you the French mani look without the ever-increasing salon prices (which is totally fair — doing nails takes some serious skill. My shaky hands could never). But for the months you want to save some cash, these easy-to-apply nails can swoop in to save the day with their flexible fit and waterproof design. And Onsen's nail and cuticle serum — it uses rice bran oil, Japanese seaweed, and shea butter to condition nails and add some shine. If your nails are absolutely wrecked from your last set of gel or acrylics — this is a must. Reviewers say it's super lightweight, so you can say goodbye to the days of oily cuticle creams that take approximately 84 years to absorb. A high-quality pair of Bluetooth earbuds THAT ARE UNDER $10!!! It is wild that we've reached the age of technology where you can get good sound quality for less than the price of a Spotify Premium subscription. They've racked up rave reviews for their surprisingly impressive bass levels and long battery life, with some saying they get up to 12 hours on a single charge! A pomade hair wax stick — it'll be a major timesaver on those days when you want to smooth down flyaways, cowlicks, or set baby hairs into place. Just swipe it over any targeted areas you want to smooth, and it'll provide some seriously strong hold without any sticky residue. A cruelty-free lengthening Essence mascara that has a whopping 253,000 5-star ratings and some seriously impressive before and after photos. Oh, did I mention it's UNDER $5?! Some reviewers even compare it to expensive brands like Tarte. 👀 Unlike other mascaras at premium price points, reviewers say this one doesn't easily clump or smudge throughout the day and is suitable for sensitive eyes. A super cheerful set of gel pens in a vibrant gradient design and with buttery-smooth ink that'll have you jumping to volunteer first to take notes in your next work meeting. They're also super fast-drying, so no worries about accidentally smearing your extremely thorough to-do list. A pack of two dark spot corrector soap bars packed with tons of vitamin C and tumeric — aka the ultimate superhero ingredients for potentially brightening and reviving dull skin. Reviewers have had luck using this on both the face and body — but we recommend giving it a patch test first on a small area to see how your skin reacts. All good? Then start sudsing away! TruSkin Naturals vitamin C serum to give you that coveted ✨ glowy but not greasy ✨ look that'll have you feeling like a Winx fairy. It's packed with vitamins C and E and botanical hyaluronic acid to help fade dark spots and add a radiant sheen to your skin. It has 94,000+ rave ratings, with many reviewers saying it instantly brightens and absorbs quickly. A wire-free bra with a whopping 32,000+ rave ratings from reviewers who say it's super lightweight (like, you might forget you even have it on) while still feeling supportive. Oh — and the straps don't flip and get contorted throughout the day! Imagine not daydreaming about going home so you can finally take your bra off!!! A liquid matte Maybelline lipstick designed to last for up to 16 hours so your color will stay vibrant through your 9-to-5 and your 5-to-9! It's also smudge-proof, so you can make it through lunch without needing to do a full-on lip touchup before heading back to your desk. A jewelry-cleaning stick so you can quickly and easily add some bling back to your rings and make them 🎵 shine bright like a diamond 🎵. You can use it on basically any of your accessories that need a good sprucing-up — just twist the pen to dispense some cleanser onto the brush, then gently swipe on your jewelry to let the microfine cleansers wipe away dirt and oil. An Anua pore-clearing cleansing oil that's specifically designed to help regulate your sebum production and break down blackheads, making it a great option for all my fellow oily-skinned peeps. It also helps break down makeup, so you can finally stop wasting money on makeup-removing wipes! Lumify Eye Drops — a redness-reducing solution made with brimonidine tartrate to whiten and brighten your eyes for up to 8 hours, if that's something you're looking to do. They're a bit more expensive than traditional eye drops, but tons of reviewers swear by them, with many saying they work reliably well. A self-adhesive paper towel roll holder that requires absolutely zero tools to install — which is the best kind of home improvement project. You can stick it right on the wall or underneath a cabinet and say hello to some glorious extra counter space. A bottle of hair-building fibers to temporarily fill in bald spots and add some volume to thinning hairs. In the words of this reviewer, "WHAT IN THE HAIR SORCERY IS GOING ON?!" The sorcery in question is the tiny fibers made with follicle-mimicking molecules that grab onto your hair strands and make it look like you took a magical overnight hair growth serum. A meat shredder that makes quick work of turning full pieces into a perfectly shredded pile that's basically begging you to turn it into a chicken salad. Just place the pieces in, twist the lid a few times, and then decide whether you're whipping up said chicken salad or spicing things up with a buffalo chicken dip instead. Or maybe BBQ?! A satin bonnet so silky smooth it's inspired more than 10,000 reviewers to leave a 5-star rating. Those satisfied reviewers love that it's super soft (yes, the inside is also lined with satin!) and roomy enough for long hair. And all my fellow hot sleepers will be relieved to know it's breathable enough to wear all night long! A digital food thermometer that gives an instant reading, so you can rest assured that your meats are cooked to the perfect temperature. It has 102,000+ rave ratings from reviewers who say it's super accurate and perfect for everything from candy to bread. Oh, and there's even a magnet on the back for easy storage!

10 best Amazon Prime Video shows to watch this summer

While there are plenty of great reasons to go outside in the summer, sometimes, you're looking to do a little bit of couch-surfing to escape the heat. Amazon Prime Video has plenty of great shows, but picking the one you want to watch can be a challenge. We've picked 10 excellent shows that you can spend the summer enjoying, all of which differ from one another in both genre and length. Check out our recommendations below. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, and the best movies on Amazon Prime Video. Game 7 (2024-) There are great sports documentaries of all kinds, but Game 7 is remarkable for the way it combines different sports and different eras into a single narrative. The show chronicles game 7s from baseball, basketball, and hockey, chronicling moments when athletes understand that everything about their seasons, and perhaps even their legacies, comes down to a single game. T No games in sports have higher stakes than game 7s. In a game 7, the teams are evenly matched and know that this final test will be nothing more than a battle of wills. You can watch Game 7 on Amazon Prime Video. The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022-2025) Adapted from a best-selling YA series of the same name, The Summer I Turned Pretty is a worthy addition to the teen rom-com canon. The show is initially set over the course of a single summer as a young woman finds herself caught in a love triangle between two brothers. What this show is really about, though, is the delicate moment when young people begin to feel like adults for the first time and feel things with an intensity they might never experience again. You can watch The Summer I Turned Pretty on Amazon Prime Video. The Boys (2019-) A satirical superhero show that arrived at precisely the right moment, The Boys is set in a world where superheroes exist, but importantly, they also suck. The show splits its time between following these superheroes and following a ragtag group of regular people who are determined to take them down, even though they are hugely outmatched. Along the way, The Boys has become a trenchant commentary on the nature of life in the 2020s, and while its view on things is pretty bleak, it can also be wildly entertaining. You can watch The Boys on Amazon Prime Video. Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2024-) There are certainly plenty of spy shows on the market, but Mr. and Mrs. Smith manages to iterate on that familiar formula in interesting ways. The show follows two spies who sign up to work as private contractors for a company they don't know much about. They have to pretend to be married as part of the ruse. As the duo slowly grows closer together, they fall out of love with the job. Anchored by sensational performances from Maya Erskine and Donald Glover, Mr. and Mrs. Smith is sexy, adult, and surprisingly light on its feet. You can watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith on Amazon Prime Video. Fleabag (2016-2019) One of the great TV shows of the past decade, Fleabag announced the arrival of a totally singular voice in Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The show, which is characterized by Waller-Bridge's character using the camera as a confidant, lasted two seasons, but each was stunning in distinct ways. The first follows her as she picks up the remnants of her life after a devastating loss, and the second follows her as she falls in love with a priest. A rich, textured show about a difficult person who wants to be better, Fleabag is hilarious and moving in equal measure. You can watch Fleabag on Amazon Prime Video. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022-) Although it's been on the air for just two seasons, The Rings of Power has already managed to capture some of the magic of Tolkien's universe. There are few shows on television that are told with this much sweep and scope, and Rings of Power also has a number of outstanding performers it can rely on regularly. Set thousands of years before the events of the original trilogy, Rings of Power tells the story of Sauron's rise and of the forging of the ring that will eventually become so central to the events of Lord of the Rings. You can watch Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Amazon Prime Video. The Terror (2018-2025) An anthology horror series with two distinctly terrifying seasons, The Terror is a show that imbues real-life historical events with a greater degree of fictional terror. The first season tells the story of the 1845 Franklin Expedition to find the Northwest Passage. When the crew becomes stranded in the Arctic, they start to suspect they are being hunted. Subsequent seasons have taken inspiration from other real-world events, including Japanese internment, and this mix of historical fiction and horror makes for an appealing, excruciating watch. You can watch The Terror on Amazon Prime Video. Downton Abbey (2010-2015) A remarkable upstairs-downstairs drama that features pretty much every British actor you've ever heard of, Downton Abbey follows one wealthy family and their staff as they navigate a world that is changing around them in the 1910s. The series starts with the sinking of the Titanic, but follows this family through World War I and its aftermath as the very idea of an aristocratic nobility begins to crumble around them. Downton Abbey is a fascinating and compelling show that includes the joys of a soap opera. You can watch Downton Abbey on Amazon Prime Video. The Expanse (2015-2022) Adapted from a series of novels, The Expanse tells the kind of sprawling sci-fi story that we rarely get on TV anymore. The show is set hundreds of years into the future, after mankind has colonized the solar system. As tensions rise between Earth and Mars, a military power in its own right, a detective and a ship's captain start looking for a missing girl. As they dive deeper into the mystery, they begin to realize that it hides something far more significant than the life of any one person. You can watch The Expanse on Amazon Prime Video. Jury Duty (2023-) A unique experiment in the history of TV, Jury Duty is a comedy series about 12 people who find themselves summoned to jury duty. The trick, though, is that 11 of them know they're being filmed, and the 12th believes that everything happening is real. Over the course of several weeks, Ronald Gladden finds himself thrown into a series of absurd situations, and because he believes what's happening to him is real, he acts accordingly. Jury Duty is hilarious, but the most surprising thing about it is how open-hearted and sweet its central character turns out to be. You can watch Jury Duty on Amazon Prime Video.
