Alabama offensive line target announces official commitment date, finalists

An offensive line target for the program, Bear McWhorter officially announced a commitment date Monday morning, as well as a list of finalists that included the Alabama Crimson Tide.
McWhorter will be announcing his commitment later this month on Feb. 28, deciding between a list of five finalists. Alongside the Crimson Tide, McWhorter also included the Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators, Michigan Wolverines, and South Carolina Gamecocks in his list of finalists.
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, McWhorter ranks as a three-star prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, as well as the No. 437 overall player in the country. McWhorter is also ranked as the No. 38 interior offensive lineman, as well as the No. 46 player in the state of Georgia where he attends Cass High School.
At the moment, Alabama's 2026 class has only one commitment, which comes from four-star in-state Top 100 cornerback Zyan Gibson.
