Teen suspect remanded over murder of mother, brother
MELAKA: A 17-year-old boy, suspected of fatally stabbing his mother and brother in an incident at Bukit Rambai, yesterday, has been remanded for seven days, starting today until June 19.
The remand order was issued by Magistrate N. Sivasangari to allow further investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Yesterday, the media reported that a 51-year-old female teacher and her 21-year-old eldest son were found dead, while her youngest son, 13, sustained serious injuries, believed to have resulted from stab wounds, in an incident at their home.
The incident is believed to have occurred around 5am, with the single mother and her son found lying in a pool of blood in the living room.
Police arrested the suspect outside the house, where he was found sitting in a daze. A 20-centimetre folding knife, believed to be the weapon used in the attack, was discovered with blood stains in a school bag placed outside the residence. — BERNAMA

KUALA LUMPUR: A car wash worker was seriously injured after the vehicle he was driving crashed through a wall and plunged from the third floor of a service apartment car park on Jalan Klang Lama this evening. Influencer Sofamann files police report over alleged fraud by ex-staff
BENTONG: Influencer and businessman Sofamann has lodged a police report against a former employee, alleging criminal breach of trust involving company funds. District police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said the 27-year-old filed the report at 9.37pm on Friday. "According to the report, a 38-year-old male employee, who was a manager, is believed to have committed criminal breach of trust involving company funds. "Initial investigations estimate the total loss at approximately RM12,000," he said in a statement today. Zaiham said investigations are ongoing under Section 408 of the Penal Code. This section pertains to criminal breach of trust committed by a clerk or servant, and carries penalties including imprisonment and fines upon conviction. He urged the public to refrain from speculation as the case remains under investigation. Earlier, Sofamann in a post on his official Facebook account claimed that his employee had suddenly disappeared on May 9. In the same post, he alleged that he had discovered the man had misappropriated RM60,000 in company funds over six months. Following this, he filed a police report and advised the public to be cautious of his former employee's tactics.
