Charlotte's Gold Line will have longer wait times this weekend
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Gold Line will operate on a 40-minute frequency Saturday, May 17, Charlotte Area Transit System officials announced.
The Gold Line streetcar usually runs on 20-minute headways. It operates between French Street in west Charlotte and Hawthorne Street in Plaza Midwood.
'We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience at this time,' CATS said.
They suggest using the CATS-Pass app to find a bus stop running along the route and receive real-time updates on streetcar services.
People who have tickets to the PGA Championship can ride all CATS services for free this weekend.
