‘I felt it was unjust' – Wrexham legend Paul Mullin accepts his fate and ‘doesn't know' why manager no longer trusts him
PAUL MULLIN has accepted his fate at Wrexham despite not knowing why Phil Parkinson has lost trust in him.
The striker became a hero at the club following his arrival from Cambridge United in 2021.

The striker made the revelation during a recent episode of the
Mullin suggested that he would want to play just once in England's second division to complete his time at the club, but does think he no longer has a role.
He said: "Just to play one game in the Championship with Wrexham would be worth absolutely everything.

"From a personal point of view, I don't think I'll have any part to play in it from here on in."
Mullin has also been left feeling resentful of Parkinson as he feels his absence from the squad has been "unjust".
The run out of the team came after his return from a back injury and surgery from last summer.
He added: "I let that get to me, to be honest, from where I've been to then only being allowed to play four games and finding myself being left out of the team.
"I resented it and I carried that for weeks because I felt it was unjust.
"I think I'm more annoyed now. It's the annoyance of training every single day, doing everything I can, and looking back on everything I've done.
"I feel like I was a main part of why we got into this situation, and then I'm not being allowed the platform to get back there, or the opportunity to go and do it again.
"It's difficult. I don't know what's caused him [Parkinson] to trust me less, but he clearly does."
Mullin has scored 105 goals for Wrexham in just 165 appearances since his arrival.
He will be further down the pecking order at the club following the recent arrival of Ryan Hardie.

The former Pilgrim netted 74 times in 248 appearances in Devon and is believed to have been signed after his £700,000 release clause was activated.

GAA rule change to take immediate effect after landslide Central Council vote
The Central Council of the GAA has voted overwhelmingly to make a rule alteration ahead of the All-Ireland preliminary football quarter-finals this weekend. While the new rules have been credited with producing a feast of football so far this season, one or two rules have come under fire after having the microscope of Championship football come down on them. The penalty for impeding a player who has taken a kick-out mark will be reduced from a 50-metre advancement to just a free from where the offence has taken place from this weekend on after a Central Council vote on the matter was completed. The punishment of a free in front of the posts if a hand was laid on the player claiming the mark as he landed had been deemed too severe, and the offence often unavoidable as players collided upon landing after contesting a kickout. It's believed there was just one vote against among the 40 strong Central Council, with the rule adjustment passing by 39-1.

Former Kerry star says that Meath defeat was on the cards
Mike Quirke says that he feared that Kerry were vulnerable to Meath last weekend given the injuries to 'guys that hold the standards'. In the end, Kerry slipped to a nine-point loss in Tullamore which allowed Meath to advance straight to an All-Ireland quarter-final, while Jack O'Connor's side must play a preliminary quarter-final at home to Cavan on Saturday to earn a last eight spot. The Munster champions were without Sean O'Shea, Paudie Clifford, Paul Geaney, Diarmuid O'Connor, Barry Dan O'Sullivan and Brian Ó Beaglaoich through injury, but few were predicting that they would go under having not lost a Championship game to Leinster opposition other than Dublin since Meath famously trounced them in the 2001 All-Ireland semi-final. Quirke was a four-time All-Ireland winner with Kerry in the 2000s and was part of O'Connor's management team when they won their last title in 2022. 'I was worried about this game,' he told Off The Ball. He said: 'I would normally be a bit conservative because I respect anybody who puts on the green and gold, and I know the commitments that players make and the sacrifices that players make. 'But a lot of what we saw today was rubbish. It's time to call a spade a spade. We lacked an awful lot of passion. Turnover, soft turnovers. We had no bit of direction. We had no game plan. Towards the end of that game, they were dictating things exactly like they did in 2001.'
