Deepika Padukone asked for ‘ultra-hot, extra spicy' noodles; Alia Bhatt said they evoked ‘travel memories': Chef on his ‘virtually zero calorie' noodles

Actors Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone have often publicly shown appreciation for the Japanese noodles soup dish, ramen. In a recent interview, their private celebrity chef Harsh Dixit opened up about making it for both of them. He revealed that while Alia mentioned that she gets transported to her travel memories, Deepika loves her noodles 'ultra hot and spicy'. The chef also shared a few bits about his ramen recipe for them, highlighting the power of 'intentional food'.
During a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, Chef Harsh revealed that he has been perfecting his ramen since more than a decade. 'I have made this chicken and pork ramen for Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone. Alia told me it transported her to her travels. That's the power of intentional food.'
'There's the tare (the seasoning base), often soy or miso, the broth, noodles, protein, and toppings. But I've started seasoning the broth directly instead of using tare. That trick has been a hit with all my clients,' he added, while breaking down the basic recipe of the ramen.
For Deepika, he offered two broths – Tori Paitan (rich and creamy) and Shio tare (light and clear). The noodle options included classic alkaline noodles and Shirataki noodles made from konjac. 'They're called Miracle Noodles, virtually zero calories,' he said. The actor requested for her noodles to be 'ultra-hot, extra spicy, with Miracle Noodles. It hit the spot for her, and she asked for seconds.'

Harsh Dixit is a private chef to many superstars, includes Bollywood celebs such as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Ayan Mukerji, Janhvi Kapoor, Mahesh Babu, Athiya Shetty, Suniel Shetty, and KL Rahul, and many others.
In the same interview, Harsh also opened up about cooking for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's anniversary in December 2019. He made the traditional Vietnamese dish Pho for the couple, with a special customisation as they are vegan. 'I made Pho, but with a twist. There's chicken and beef in the broth. But they were eating gluten-free at the time, so we went with rice noodles, which are traditional in Pho and gluten-free,' he said.
He continued, 'Vietnamese cuisine includes a lot of snake – snake wine, even snake meat. So, how about serving 'snakes' to vegans? The idea was to have fun while staying within the dietary boundaries. That's what being a private chef is about.'
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, last year. The actor will next star with Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan, in Siddharth Anand's King, in 2026. On the other hand, Alia Bhatt has Jee Le Zaraa, Brahmastra: Part Two, and Love & War in her kitty.
