There will also be a range of Christmas crafts, food, live music and a panto dame.
The event will be spread across different venues in the town including Bridlington Spa and Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
What's more - the event is only on for one day.
Essentially, 'Bridmas' aims to showcase the town as having much more to offer than being just a great summer holiday destination.
Throughout the day, families can watch the Christmas film Home Alone, experience a 'Santa Express ' land train and take part in festive-themed beach games.
There will be a meet-and-greet with Father Christmas himself, and The Grinch too.
Actor Joe Standerline will also make an appearance as Dick Whittington.
The 'Santa Express' will have everything you would expect of a festive train ride to see Santa.
On 'Bridmas', Noel - the driver - will check who is on the 'nice list' before taking them to the North Pole.
For a spot of early gift shopping there will be a Christmas-themed daytime market and later a food festival in the evening.
I visited the 'secret' European ski resort that Brits often overlook with empty slopes and perfect snow
An ice sculpture will even be there too... providing it doesn't get too warm and turn into a puddle.
Over at Sewerby Hall and Gardens, families can enjoy spectacular views whilst tucking into festive treats.
The venue will also be hosting a magic show as well as face painting.
Then over at East Riding Leisure Centre there will be a festive soft play area for little ones.
If things couldn't get more bizarre, down on the seafront families will also be able to get up close and investigate road gritters used each winter.
The event is organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and will take place on August 6, 2025.
TUI launches 'extreme day trips' to Lapland
TUI has launched a new 'extreme day trip' to Lapland for winter 2026, from 11 airports.
The 'Search for Santa' day trip will see families fly to Kittila, with a traditional cooked English breakfast served to you on the flight.
After landing at midday, you'll grab your snowsuit and boots before heading to the Snow Village.
At the Snow Village you will be able to see an ice hotel with igloo-inspired rooms, an ice bar, ice chapel and numerous ice sculptures.
Families will then hop onto a sleigh ride led by Rudolph.
After this, you'll head off on another animal-based adventure with a husky-led sleigh ride.
And if those rides weren't enough, you'll then be able to explore the snow wonderland more by learning to drive your own snowmobile.
Then the big moment of the day arrives with a magical journey through a snow-covered woodland to meet Santa.
At the end of your 'extreme day trip', you will then be delivered back to the airport by Santa's elves and once airbourne, you will have a Christmas dinner in the sky as you fly home.
Here are some festive family day trips for Christmas.

Moment drunken yobs spark emergency at 30,000 feet by refusing to stop vaping - forcing plane to turn back an hour into flight

Two drunken yobs caused a plane to return to the UK an hour into their flight as they refused to stop vaping in their seats. Police were called to Stansted Airport, where they waited for a Jet2 flight bound for Heraklion in Crete to return to London. Families were left extremely frustrated that the two men who were 'drunk as skunks' were allowed on board before take-off. Passengers said the pair started drinking alcohol after the scheduled 5.55am departure on Tuesday was delayed. Once the flight took off, pilots were forced to declare an emergency an hour into the flight and turn back to Stansted Airport. Footage shows the moment officers rushed onto the twin-jet Airbus A321 at 9.36am to cheers from passengers on he plane to detain the duo. One of the men was arrested after he was allegedly carrying cocaine and MDMA. Angry passengers let out their frustrations as one woman tells the men to 'get off!' while another shouts 'loser! before describing the pair as 'f****** b***ends!'. 'Do not get on a flight if you cannot control your drink!', another says before adding 'we love you police - thank you!'. However, one passenger was able to crack a joke as she quipped, 'nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' following the viral ad campaign starring pop star Jess Glynne. The duo, one of whom was wearing a back-to-front black baseball cap, ignored a cockpit announcement that warned that if they didn't stop vaping, the flight would have to return to the UK, one passenger revealed. The passenger said: 'On the flight the duo were so obnoxious. They began vaping, then kicked off when told to stop smoking. 'They couldn't understand or care just how dangerous it was for everyone on the plane. A source told The Sun: 'Passengers were livid. Everyone was looking forward to the start of the holiday.' They added: 'There were lots of kids on the plane and the airline should not allow these lunatics to spoil hard earned holidays.' The holidaymakers on the plane had to wait at Stansted Airport throughout the day for a service that evening that could take them on the four-hour journey to Greece. It is understood that Jet2 gave passengers a £10 voucher to be redeemed in WHSmith at Stansted. The airline has confirmed that a passenger has been handed a life ban as they described the behaviour as 'disgraceful' and 'aggressive'. A Jet2 spokesperson said: 'We can confirm that a customer has been issued with a lifetime ban following a catalogue of disgraceful and aggressive behaviour, which led to flight LS1577 from London Stansted to Crete Heraklion having to return to Stansted so that police could offload them. 'We would like to thank the police and our crew for their handling of this difficult situation. 'As a family friendly airline, we take a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive passenger behaviour and we will fully support the authorities with any subsequent investigation, including prosecutions and pursuing civil proceedings if necessary.' An Essex Police spokesman said: 'We were called at around 8.40am on Tuesday 5 August to reports of a disruptive passenger on board a flight bound for Greece. 'Officers were alerted to the flight's imminent return to Stansted Airport and detained two passengers for searches. 'A man, aged in his 20s, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was taken into custody after a quantity of suspected Class A drugs was found. 'He has since been released under investigation.' The second passenger was detained by officers for a stop and search but was not arrested.

Holiday Inn owner sees profits rise despite pressure from global uncertainty

Holiday Inn owner InterContinental Hotels Group has revealed a slowdown in global room revenue as economic uncertainty due to tariffs and geopolitical tensions takes its toll. The London-listed group reported that revenue per available room (revpar) – a key measure for the hotel industry – pulled back sharply to 0.3% in the second quarter from 3.3% in the previous three months. The US, which is its largest market, slipped into reverse, with revpar down 0.9% in the second quarter, reflecting the impact on 'business and leisure travel in light of macroeconomic developments', according to the group. In the UK, where InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has around 355 UK hotels, revpar fell 0.8% over the first half as a whole. But the overall half-year out-turn for global room revenue was better than expected, at 1.8%, helping shares rise nearly 7% in morning trading on Thursday. IHG – which also owns chains such as Crowne Plaza and Regent – reported a 13% rise in operating profits to 604 million US dollars (£452 million) for the six months to June 30. Pre-tax profits jumped to 633 million dollars (£474 million) from 472 million dollars (£353 million) a year ago. Elie Maalouf, chief executive of IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: 'While some shorter term macroeconomic uncertainties remain, many are subsiding, and we are confident in the ongoing successful delivery of our growth.' The group cheered passing the milestone for one million rooms, having opened a record number of hotels in the first half, and said it continues to expand, with a pipeline of more than 2,200 hotels. 'Whilst in some countries geopolitical risk and the economic outlook present shorter-term challenges and uncertainties, overall conditions for the global industry remain positive for continued long-term growth, supported by stable employment markets and robust levels of business activity and economic growth,' the group said. Julie Palmer, a partner at Begbies Traynor, said: 'InterContinental Hotels has published another steady set of results that suggest the business remains on track, even as signs of softening demand emerge in more mature markets like the US. 'The slight dip in US revpar reflects broader economic uncertainty, heightened geopolitical tensions and more cautious consumer spending, but growth across other regions has helped soften the blow and maintain overall momentum.'

Police officer rescues swan in ‘Hot Fuzz' moment

A police officer had a 'Hot Fuzz moment' when rescuing a wandering swan from the middle of a Colchester road. Essex Police 's heritage and wildlife crime officer PC Jed Raven, who likened the job to the popular British action film, was called out to move the bird on Monday. 'It was a bit of a wild goose chase, but I knew I had to wing it,' PC Raven said. The force said it had been returned safely. British actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost chased a missing swan as two police officers in the 2007 film set in the fictional town of Sandford. In the iconic scene, Mr Pegg plays bored police officer Nicholas Angel and is called in to track down the missing bird. Essex Police said: "The swan is now back to swanning about in its natural habitat, and PC Raven is officially the beak-on of community safety." In October 2023, three police officers were called in to escort a lost swan in Bath's city centre after it caused a flap among shoppers. Avon and Somerset officers appeared to handle the situation more smoothly than Constable Angel as three officers moved the bird on towards the nearby River Avon. One used a fluorescent police jacket to gently usher the wayward swan towards the river as shoppers pulled out their phones to snap the scene. Local Simon Galloway, 49, said: 'I was just out shopping with my wife and daughter – and we noticed a bit of commotion outside the shop. 'That was when we saw a cygnet being escorted down the street – presumably down to the river. There were loads of shoppers around, everyone had their phones out, laughing.'
