Tudor confirmed as Juve coach, Kolo Muani to stay for Club World Cup
Igor Tudor will be Juventus coach next season, the Serie A club's new general manager Damien Comolli confirmed yesterday, after failing to snatch Antonio Conte from Serie A champions Napoli.
'Igor Tudor will be our coach for the 2025/26 season. We're working together, and I want to reiterate that he will be our coach next season,' Comolli told reporters during a press conference.
Juve had pushed to bring back club icon Conte, who won three straight league titles as coach of the Turin giants between 2011 and 2014.
But Conte decided to stay at Napoli and defend the Scudetto, leading to Juve to decide to stick with Tudor who replaced sacked Thiago Motta in March and guided the club to next season's Champions League.
Tudor will lead Juve at the upcoming Club World Cup in the USA where the Italians face Al Ain, Wydad AC and Manchester City in the group stage. Also taking part in the Club World Cup with Juve will be Comolli's fellow Frenchman Randal Kolo Muani, whose loan from Paris Saint-Germain has been extended for the length of the tournament.
Comolli added that Juve were hoping to extend Kolo Muani's stay for next season after a promising spell in Italy since arriving in January from PSG where he was frozen out by Luis Enrique.

Novice Pisacane named new Cagliari coach
AFP | Rome Cagliari announced yesterday that novice Fabio Pisacane had been picked as the Serie A club's new coach following the sacking of Davide Nicola. Pisacane, who spent six seasons with Cagliari as a player, has signed a oneyear contract which will be automatically renewed should unspecified 'sporting criteria' be satisfied. The 39-year-old has been promoted from Cagliari's youth team which in April won the youth Italian Cup by beating AC Milan 3-0. Cagliari finished 15th in Serie A under Nicola last season, five points above the relegation zone. The close season in Italy has already brought numerous coaching changes, including at some of the country's biggest clubs like AC Milan, Inter Milan, Roma and Atalanta. Separately, Inter Milan have chosen Cristian Chivu to lead the Serie A club into a new era, confirming the former Romania defender as Simone Inzaghi's replacement ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup.

Man City sign midfielder Reijnders in time for Club World Cup
Manchester City yesterday announced the signing of Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan for £46.3 million ($62.4 million), in time for the midfielder to play in the Club World Cup. The Dutch international, who has signed a five-year contract, is City's fourth signing of the week as they step up a radical rebuild following a poor season by their sky-high standards. The club have also announced deals for Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki, Chelsea goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli and Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri over the past few days. The total spent is around £108 million, on top of a significant outlay during the January transfer window. The transfers have been finalised in time for the players to be registered for the group stages of the Club World Cup in the United States, which starts on June 14. Reijnders, 26, joined AC Milan from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 and scored 15 goals during a disappointing 2024/25 campaign for the Italian club, who finished eighth in Serie A. He will bolster manager Pep Guardiola's midfield options following the departure of veteran Kevin De Bruyne. 'I am ecstatic to be signing for Manchester City,' said Reijnders.
