Eberl dismisses links to Chelsea forward

Bayern Munich have been linked with Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, with Sky Germany reporting on Thursday that the 24-year-old is on the club's radar. However, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl was quick to dismiss the speculation following Bayern's 4-0 friendly win over Tottenham on Thursday, firmly denying any interest in the player. 'Definitely not, I have never spoken with him,' Eberl told reporters after the win when asked about Jackson. While expressing confidence in the current squad, Eberl said that any further transfer activity could hinge on potential departures. 'Right now the squad is in place. We're very happy with the squad we have. But if someone comes to us and tells us that they want to leave, then we'd have to reconsider and maybe do something else. But as I said, we're relaxed and waiting to see what happens,' he said. So far this summer, Bayern have made three signings: Luis Díaz from Liverpool (€70m), Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen (€2m), and Tom Bischof from Hoffenheim (€300k).

Lille reach agreement with Real Betis for Romain Perraud

According to a report from Foot Mercato and confirmed by L'Équipe, Lille OSC reached an agreement last night to sign Romain Perraud (27) from Real Betis for €3.5m, including bonuses. This is the same amount that the Spanish club paid for the left-back last summer when they signed him from Southampton FC on a contract lasting until 2029. Perraud is reportedly expected to arrive in Lille today and will travel with the squad for tomorrow's preseason friendly against West Ham United at the London Stadium. His arrival marks the end of Lille's hunt for a new starting left-back, which had been a priority for the club following the departures of Gabriel Gudmundsson, Mitchel Bakker, and Ismaily. Lille had been considering a move for David Møller Wolfe (23). However, they were unable to reach an agreement with AZ Alkmaar, and instead, the left-back moved to the Premier League with Wolverhampton Wanderers. GFFN | Nick Hartland
