UAE Eid Al Adha Weather Forecast: Rain and Humidity Expected
The UAE could see rain during the Eid Al Adha holidays, according to the latest forecast.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) shared a forecast for the Eid holiday period in the UAE until Sunday, June 8.
It says the UAE will see a chance of rainfall rough seas, humidity and dust with winds of up to 40kmph in parts of the country. Thursday, June 5: Fair to partly cloudy and dusty at times. Clouds will appear Northward and Eastward. Humid by night and Friday morning over some coastal areas. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust during daytime. The sea will be rough to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea

NCM Forecast: Hot To Extremely Hot Weather Expected At Holy Sites During Hajj
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) announced that the expected weather conditions in the holy sites during this year's Hajj will be hot to extremely hot. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 40 and 47 degrees Celsius, and minimum temperatures range between 27 and 32 degrees Celsius. The humidity levels are expected between 15 percent and 60 percent. The CEO of NCM Dr. Ayman Ghulam indicated that winds will be northerly to northwesterly at speeds ranging from 25 to 35 km/h, with dust-raising, which may lead to reduced horizontal visibility, especially in open areas and highways. He noted the possibility of thunderstorms forming in the highlands of Taif, extending their impact to the holy sites during the period from Dhul Hijjah 8 to 13, accompanied by active downwinds that stir up dust and dirt.

UAE hits hottest May on record at 50.4°C
The United Arab Emirates recorded yesterday its highest temperature for May since it began documenting them in 2003 — a sweltering 50.4 degrees Celsius, according to the National Center of Meteorology. "The highest temperature recorded over the country today is 50.4°C in Al Shawamekh (Abu Dhabi) at 14:30 UAE local time," it said in a post on X. "This is the highest temperature we've ever recorded (for May) since we started keeping records in 2003," the NCM told AFP. That topped the previous highest temperature of 50.2°C recorded in May 2009, said the centre.
