3 arrested after early-morning stabbing in North Vancouver: police
Three women have been arrested after an early-morning stabbing in North Vancouver on Saturday, with police saying two of them needed hospitalization for their injuries.
North Vancouver RCMP say that they were called around 2:45 a.m. PT on Saturday after reports of a distraught woman near the Lonsdale Quay bus loop.
Police say she had stabbing injuries, and they later found two other women on the second floor of a building above the bus loop. One of them also had similar injuries.
According to police, the three women were involved in a dispute and an assault occurred, and they think the stabbings are isolated in nature.
"There was a dispute between the parties, who were known to each other, before the alleged assault occurred," said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak in a statement.
Police say the three arrested women are in their early 20s. Of those three, the two who were injured were also hospitalized, one with minor injuries and the other with serious injuries.
Police say anyone with more information on the case should contact them.
