Hong Kong 47: Tiffany Yuen freed after more than 4 years in prison
47 Hong Kong opposition figures charged in the city's largest national security case so far, has been released from prison after serving a sentence of four years and three months.
Yuen, a former member of the Southern District Council, left Lo Wu Correctional Institution at around 5.40am on Tuesday. According to local media, two black seven-seaters with their curtains drawn were seen leaving the compound, believed to be transporting Yuen.
A source said the 31-year-old returned home after 6am and was reunited with her family.
Later on Tuesday morning, Yuen posted on her Instagram account for the first time in four years.
In her selfie, she was seen with long hair and holding a bouquet of flowers gifted by Frankie Fung Tat-chun, one of the 45 jailed activists who was released in July.
'Thank you everyone for the hard work. I will take a nap first. Give rehabilitated people a chance. I will take a break,' she wrote in the caption.

He became involved in gambling through people he met who also used cannabis and, over three to four years, sank into a quagmire of addiction, spending all of his salary – including what was meant to support his family. On a friend's recommendation, he tried out for the homeless football team.

China-India ties are warming rapidly in the heat of US trade war
India and China have come a long way towards mending ties that took a sharp turn for the worse with a deadly clash on their shared border five years ago. Also discussed were plans to explore trade cooperation, particularly in strategic sectors such as rare earths, people-to-people contact, the sharing of river data and connectivity.
