It is situated a few minutes from the A66 and the town of Keswick.
The surrounding fells offer "exclusive views" across Derwentwater, Bassenthwaite Lake, and, on clear days, Scotland.
The property's location provides access to outdoor shops, independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, pubs, outdoor activity centres, schools, and the Theatre By the Lake.
The estate agent also highlights the property's proximity to several well-known Lake District locations.
Drives to Crummock Water and Buttermere can be made over Honister Pass, and Thirlmere, Grasmere, Ullswater, and Windermere are also accessible.
Internally, Skelgill Farm features an entrance hallway with wooden floors and doors, leading to a living room, library/games room, downstairs cloakroom, kitchen, and a staircase with under stairs storage.
Living room, with wood flooring, marble fireplace and a woodburning stove (Image: Supplied) The living room has wood flooring, a marble fireplace with slate hearth, and a woodburning stove.
A room on the ground floor is currently being used as a pool and games room, but the estate agent notes it could also serve as a second sitting room or library.
This room features three recessed bookcases, a flagged floor, and a fireplace.
Kitchen, with slate flagged floor, wall and base units, and an Aga cooker (Image: Supplied) The kitchen is described as a "well-proportioned, twin aspect traditional farmhouse kitchen" with a slate flagged floor, wall and base units, and an Aga cooker.
A window seat offers views across the gardens.
There is also a utility room with stable door access from the garden, which the estate agent says could serve as a pantry, utility, or boot room, with space for laundry appliances and access to the rear garden.
The property's second lounge, currently being used as a games room, complete with pool table (Image: Supplied) Upstairs, the property has six bedrooms.
The main bedroom is a dual aspect double room with painted beams and window seats, situated next to the family bathroom.
Several bedrooms feature cast iron fireplaces, skylights, and wooden floors.
One of the property's six bedrooms (Image: Supplied) There are two bathrooms on this floor, including one with a bath and electric shower.
The estate agent says that the windows are "mostly double glazed" and the slate roof was recently replaced by the current owners.
Outside, Skelgill Farm has a wraparound garden and a glass greenhouse.
To the front, a gravel driveway provides parking for two or three cars.
Further land and buildings may be available by separate negotiation, according to the listing.

Three more Strictly Come Dancing contestants announced on The One Show
Dani Dyer, Alex Kingston and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink have been revealed as the latest contestants for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. The trio were announced as the latest recruits for the upcoming season live on BBC One's The One Show on Monday. Speaking from the studio after her reveal, former Love Island winner Dyer said: 'It's such a fun magical show – to be asked to do it is such an honour. 'I just can't wait to be able to wear (the costumes) – it's going to be so much fun.' Actress Kingston, who interrupted her holiday in Italy to speak to hosts Alex Scott and Roman Kemp, joked: 'I was super excited but now I'm terrified.' She was best known for her role as Dr Elizabeth Corday in US medical drama ER. Before that she won over British fans for her performance in ITV miniseries The Fortunes And Misfortunes Of Moll Flanders, which earned her a Bafta nomination for best actress. Former Chelsea footballer Hasselbaink said: 'I'm a father of only girls and Strictly is a part of our home life – I like the show. 'Let's have a go.' He added: 'It's totally out of my comfort zone. 'Playing football in front of 60,000 or 70,000 people is easy but dancing with a partner who knows it 10 times, 100 times, better than you is crazy.' Hasselbaink also teased the idea that he might be bringing a few of his former footballing friends along to watch live. 'I'm in contact with Robbie (Fowler), with Carlo Cudicini, so who knows,' he said. They join Olympic sprinter and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, who was the first contestant confirmed for the 2025 line-up earlier in the day. Aikines-Aryeetey, known as Nitro on the rebooted Gladiators, previously competed in last year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and described his decision to return as 'so nice I just had to do it twice'. In July, the BBC announced that two 'incredible' new professional dancers, US-born Alexis Warr and Australian dancer Julian Caillon, would be joining the show, which starts this autumn. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are back to present with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas returning as judges. Strictly will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its new series this September.

Prince Andrew Spotted on Rare Outing as Bombshell Book Author Reveals What 'Annoys' the Duke About Losing Royal Status
The Duke of York was spotted visiting Windsor Castle on Sunday after spending a week avoiding the spotlight at the Royal LodgeNEED TO KNOW Prince Andrew was spotted on a rare outing over the weekend The Duke of York has been lying low after excerpts from a bombshell new biography about him and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, were released The book includes details about a violent encounter that Andrew allegedly had with Prince Harry, as well as alleged details about his exploits with Jeffrey EpsteinPrince Andrew was spotted making a visit to Windsor Castle over the weekend amid controversy over a new bombshell biography about him and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. The Duke of York, 65, stepped out on Sunday, Aug. 10, after lying low at his home, the Royal Lodge, over the last week. Photos showed him behind the steering wheel of a car, reportedly driving to Windsor Castle. On Aug. 1, the Daily Mail published excerpts from the new book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York by author Andrew Lownie. A summary on the Harper Collins website says it tells the story of "a spoilt prince unable to connect and a duchess pushed by her insecurities into a desperate need to maintain the attention her 'royal' status brought." The Daily Mail's previews included unflattering details about Prince Andrew's portrayal in the book, detailing allegations about a violent altercation he had with Prince Harry — purportedly over comments made about his wife, Meghan Markle — as well as claims about the disgraced royal's lurid behavior with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. King Charles' younger brother took a major step back from his duties as a working royal in November 2019, following a scrutinized interview with BBC's Newsnight about his alleged ties to Epstein. Then, in January 2022, Queen Elizabeth stripped her son of his military titles and patronages after he attempted to have Virginia Giuffre's sexual assault lawsuit against him dismissed. The Duke of York has denied any wrongdoing and in February 2022, settled with Giuffre out of court for an undisclosed sum. Since then, he has lived a quiet life, kept out of the spotlight against his wishes, Lownie claimed in a new interview with Sky News. "I don't think he has any public future. I would say his private future is pretty limited, too," the author noted. "I mean, he lives in Royal Lodge [on the Windsor Estate], he plays golf, watches TV and presumably sees his grandchildren... He's living the life of a retired man." Lownie continued, "What most annoys him is his lack of a royal status. That's what really sort of gave him his whole sense of identity. And that's, you know, it's not being able to put on his uniforms and strut around and being self-important." Can't get enough of PEOPLE's Royals coverage? to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more! Buckingham Palace has made no comment on Lownie's allegations or his forthcoming book. However, a spokesperson for Prince Harry denied the allegations made in the book excerpts. "Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry," the spokesperson told PEOPLE last week. Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York will be published on Aug. 14 and purports to "expose the secrets and scandals behind [Andrew and Fergie's] extravagant lives and troubled marriage." Despite the fact that they officially divorced in May 1996, the Duke and Duchess of York, both 65, have continued to maintain a home together at the Royal Lodge since 2004, and Sarah has stood by her ex's side throughout his fall from grace. She even defended him in a March 2023 interview on Good Morning America, expressing how it was "really difficult" to see him struggle with the loss of his royal identity. "We've been there for each other — you know, when I've gone through really bad times in the past, Andrew's always been there," she said. "He is exceptionally kind, and he is a very, seriously good grandfather. He's very steadfast for the girls," Sarah continued, referencing their daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35. "We are women that also have had to see the demise of a very strong man, and that has been really difficult to see." Read the original article on People
